Bachmann to Matthews: Hey, how’s that tingly thrill now?

An amusing moment here at MN GOP HQ, where Michele Bachmann managed to get a little payback on Chris Matthews two years after he goaded her into a faux pas just before her last election. Matthews accused Bachmann of being in a “trance,” to which Bachmann replied by asking whether Matthews ever got rid of that thrill up his leg. Matthews answers with his usual graciousness:
The floor erupted in laughter after this exchange. So far, the mood here seems rather festive, even though Teresa Collett and Joel Demos have apparently lost their long-shot Congressional bids. The gubernatorial race saw the urban areas report first, but now we’re getting the suburbs and exurbs, and Tom Emmer is gaining rapidly. Erik Paulsen won MN-03 by a landslide.

Here’s how it works:
You know you are going to get your butt kicked in the election so you give a delayed-audio feed to one of your opponents who is standing in a room full of very loud supporters. That way, you can make them look “lost” while you fire off rapid-fire questions. As they try to answer the first question, you then fire off the second question. Before they finish the answer to the first question, you fire off the third question.
This is the biggest sleazy-smear jobs I have ever seen. Give me Michelle on the network and “Mr. Tingle” on the remote and she would have him curled into a fetal position.
