Obligatory: Whoopi and Behar fight with O’Reilly, storm off set of “The View”

posted at 4:15 pm on October 14, 2010 by Allahpundit

Via Greg Hengler, I almost take them seriously enough to care. No, just kidding: I don’t remotely take them seriously enough to care. But “The View” is as much a part of Hot Air lore as Humpbot or “dude” headlines or dopey atheism posts, so when a magical moment happens on the set, we. are. there.

O’Reilly’s sin here is to say that 9/11 was perpetrated by Muslims rather than by Muslim extremists, an offense so egregious to Behar that her delicate conscience had to be removed from his presence. Funny thing: That same conscience never trembled when leftist moron Rosie O’Donnell dropped dark hints about 9/11 being an inside job on a regular basis on the show. In other words, fail to specify which view of Islam the hijackers held and Behar’s apt to need smelling salts; suggest that the attack wasn’t perpetrated by Muslims at all and … not a twitch. You’re a good liberal, Joy. Say, I wonder what happens on Joy’s talk show when lefty guests deride “the tea party” as racist, violent, anti-gay, etc etc? Does she walk out then too in indignation at the guests’ refusal to properly qualify which tea partiers they mean? I’d check the tapes, except … see the first paragraph above.

As for Whoopi, she chimes in with ye olde left-wing canard about Timothy McVeigh being a Christian. It’s not true — unlike the hijackers, neither he nor his motive were religious — but no amount of persuasion will get liberals to give up that talking point. It’s too useful in drawing false equivalencies when jihadists attack. Anyway, O’Reilly duly apologizes and clarifies what he meant and the two “hosts” duly return, content that he’s been properly chastened, and all’s well that ends well. Note to O’R: Next time you’re on, suggest that Bush blew up the Towers as a pretext for starting a war with Iraq. See if anyone leaves. I know which way I’m betting.

rgranger on October 14, 2010 at 5:09 PM

That’s really something. Goldberg and Behar, the ranters-in-chief and wearing their self-righteous medals at all times on the View, are offended. The weeks that Whoopie was in charge while Walters was recovering, aired some of the clumsiest interviews in the history of the show. Well if either ever runs for office they are sure to get the Muslim vote(extremist or not, lol)

I would like to know why O’Reilly keeps going back to that dopey show. Joy is one of the most fortunate people. She is uninformed, not funny and gets a huge salary plus has her own show. Bill is only bringing ratings to that show. He was obviously wrong in saying Muslims, and not radical or extremists. But those 2 looked like fools for getting up and walking off. Bill stay away from that show.

I don’t remotely take them seriously enough to care.

Neither do I, but it’s still funny to see Libs’ “tolerance” and “open-mindedness” on display like this. They’re always willing to hear and consider others’ points of view — unless those POV’s diverge from their own liberal orthodoxy, in which case they’ll try to shout you down and then storm off like petulant children.

Idiots.

So are the two bimbette suggesting that the 911 attackers weren’t Muslim? An extremist Muslim is still a Muslim, if the propositional logic I learned so many years ago still applies.

Oh, wait, they’re leftards, so they have their own, perpendicular, logical universe.

Behar is a classic liberal in every facet. The childishness, the spoiled brat behaviors, the refusal to listen to anything that she doesn’t believe will support her viewpoints.

It’s rather disturbing to see a grown woman act like that.

The most annoying trait of both those ladies is that they ARE ALWAYS RIGHT! I am forced to watch it at the gym where the remote is controlled by others and if you ask to have FOX put on they look at you suspiciously. So,in spite of all my personal inclinations I have become fairly familiar with the program. Joy is simply an ass and Whoopie is always pontificating about something or other–both of them are perpetually holier than thou. I wonder sometimes why they are not replaced by thinking female adults.

jeanie on October 14, 2010 at 5:30 PM

Whoopi, Joy,

A fundamental precept of islam supposedly dictated by muhammud himself in the quran is to ki!! infidels.

If you’re not a muslim, you’re an infidel.

Take the blinders off “ladies”. If you took the time to see what the muslim holy books instruct followers to do, you might think differently. See Robert Spencer’s jihad watch web site if you don’t believe me.

As for Whoopi, she chimes in with ye olde left-wing canard about Timothy McVeigh being a Christian.

I don’t recall it reported McVeigh yelled “Jesus Christ is Lord!” as he lit the explosives fuse. And with all due respect to all who would call me an Islamaphobe, the problem with Islam which leads to these suicide bombings is its attitude towards non-Muslims as not as good as Muslims, it’s there implicitly and explicitly throughout the mainstream version of Islam. Simply put — and this is not a slam on Islam, but an objective observative — Islam does not preach “Love your neighbor as yourself” or “Love your enemies”. In Islam, the Muslim is better than others. It’s in the culture of that sentiment that Islamic terrorism grows. The religion must be reformed if terrorism is to stop.

Of course Joy and Whoopi (ironic names considering their sour dispositions!) would have walked out 3 sentences into my post, indignant. But when is anyone going to take a sober look at Islam, explain that it lacks the compassion for all dictated by Christianity, and connects those dots between Islam and terrorism?

Paul-Cincy on October 14, 2010 at 5:39 PM

Bully on Bully fight. I have to give it to BO though, when Behar stands up and says I’m outta here, BO says “GO, GO” and fans her away with his hands.

It would be nice to see this blog updated with video of the discussion Beck & O’Reilly just had (when it becomes available). It was pretty good. O’Reilly is learning, finally. I emailed him a few years ago and asked him not to talk about Islam until he actually knew something about it because he was blowing it big time.

Connie on October 14, 2010 at 5:47 PM

jeanie on October 14, 2010 at 6:10 PM

This is insane, and I wish it were pointed out more often. Liberals like Joy and our own ernesto only care about broad brush painting when it concerns Muslims. Show at least half that much concern when it happens to conservatives or Tea Partiers, and maybe people would actually take you seriously.

Look, I’m no fan of those who truly do believe all Muslims are evil and should be barred from entering the country, but no one’s going to listen to that message when it’s coming from a hypocrite.

As for Elisabeth Hasselback: hot, useless.

Kensington on October 14, 2010 at 6:17 PM

The conservative one (I forget her name) made a good point. She said it would have been better if Obama hadn’t decided that no one must ever say terrorists anymore, but should say “radical Muslims.”

“Terrorist,” she pointed out, could refer to anyone of any religion, rather than constantly drawing attention to Muslims.

It’s a useless point, though, insofar as she seems to be buying into the notion that we can’t just say that Muslims perpetrated 9/11.

They did. It was Muslims. Muslims did 9/11.

It’s not an indictment of Islam to state that plain fact, and she doesn’t get it. She’s useless, albeit hot (especially in that clip).

And I would not have let the McVeigh comment go, either, should it come to that. Not only was that whackjob not a Christian, Christians didn’t back him, they didn’t make excuses for him, and they didn’t dance in the streets and throw candy when he blew up a bunch of innocent people.

A top Ilinois State Board of Elections official tells the DRUDGE REPORT how Mrs. Obama may have simply been ignorant of the law and thus violated it unintentionally.

“You kind of have to drop the standard for the first lady, right?” the official explained late Thursday. “I mean, she’s pretty well liked and probably doesn’t know what she’s doing.”

Probably? At least for her other half that is the truest statement known to man!

Alana on October 14, 2010 at 6:17 PM

The whole POINT of Islamic terrorism is to draw attention to Muslims. But nothing good can possibly come from trying to censor that fact.

The only factor that matters is whether Islamic terrorism helps or harms the fundamental tenet of their religion: to increase submission to their faith.

And the liberal tactic of claiming that the only way to identify an “extremist” Muslim is to wait until he kills someone, of course, helps to support and encourage the spread of the practice.

“The View” is an example of people with no ability whatsoever getting jobs, and becoming famous, or at least, a little bit famous. All they must do is bump their gums, insult people, fabricate, launch ad hominem attacks, and make stuff up, even lies, and they are good to go.

Goldberg and Behar have demonstrated their ignorance and low level of intelligence, thinking and reasoning skills, and problem solving skills so frequently that it is an established fact that they are extremely ill informed and dumber than a box of rocks.

The blond on the right with the short skirt is no conservative either, and I take offense with anyone claiming that she is conservative.

The View, and exercise in mindless drivel, feeding the minds of US women with nonsense, thus dulling their minds even more than they already are, and assisting in bringing our nation down, one show at a time.

When Bahar talks, bats fly out of her mouth. She’s a batty moonbat.

That was funny, but Elizabeth Hasselbeck had the best line of all. “We should have been allowed to just keep using the word terrorist.”

LOL* Zing.

Joy Behar explained why she walked off the set on her show tonight. Her guest, I kid you not, was Jesse Ventura, truther.

Pick a direction and keep going ladies. Sooner or later you’ll hit a border or coastline.

Or a cliff. It could be a cliff.

O’reilly backtracked too much and then that old prune Walters called him a pinhead. O’Reilly is a wuss and should have stood his ground. He started off well but then he got shaken by the whole intolerance accusation when he realized what was going on; he had NOTHING to apologize for.

The odds that Behar or Goldberg would walk off the set if somebody insulted Christianity would be appr. zero divided by infinity.

And to tie up the entire event in a nice bow, a very old Halloween episode of “The Simpsons” was on. Homer threw evil doll Krusty into a bottomless pit.

He was followed by a distraught man tossing in pictures saying “I was a fool to think anyone would want naked pictures of Whoopi Goldberg…” as the bottomless pit returned the box.

Ahh…closure…

The View would be completely irredeemable were it not for Elisabeth Hasselbeck’s magnificent legs.

Joy Behar has shown what a completely unredeemable moral midget she is…..Siding with the enemy is what it looks like to me….And unprofessional as heck….If she were a conservative, she would have lost her job for that childish display….
