“Foreign-connected PACs
“Election cycle: 2010
“Total: $12,204,154
“To Dems: $6,517,903
“To Repubs: $5,581,701″

“That is the same tactic and logic that Sen. Joe McCarthy used in the 1950s: Level a headline-grabbing and unsubstantiated charge, like the State Department is filled with communists, and then say it is up to the State Department and the employees so charged to prove it is not true.
“So much for hope and change; this is the politics of fear, slander and divisiveness on the eve of an election that looks as if it will deliver a damning verdict on the first two years of the Obama administration.”
***
“‘Have these people no shame?’ Rove said of the attacks leveled at him and the Chamber. ‘Does the president of the United States have such little regard for the office he holds that he goes out there and makes these kind of baseless charges against his political enemies? This is just beyond the pale. How dare the president do this?’
“‘This is a desperate and I think disturbing trend by the President of the United States to tar his political adversaries with some kind of enemies list, without being unrestrained by any facts or evidence whatsoever.’”
***
“White House senior adviser David Axelrod said the U.S. Chamber of Commerce has the burden of proving false the charge by Democrats that the business group is funneling foreign money to Republican campaigns.
“Axelrod was pressed by CBS’ Bob Schieffer on Sunday for evidence that the foreign campaign contributions benefiting the GOP is more than ‘peanuts.’
“‘Do you have any evidence that it’s not, Bob?’ Axelrod said on ‘Face the Nation.’ ‘The fact is that the Chamber has asserted that, but they won’t release any information about where their campaign money is coming from. And that’s at the core of the problem.’”

The most dangerous job in America will be the job of the Republican nominee in 2012. The Progressives/Marxists will see their sick fantasy slipping away, and they will not go quietly. Most disturbing, the Bamster is in charge of the Republican nominee’s security.

K, so using A$$holerod’s logic:
Obama is a muslim, and has to prove he isn’t (no really, I heard somewhere that he’s a muslim).
Obama is a card-carrying socialist, and has to prove he isn’t (no really, I heard he has an actual card somewhere).
Obama got terrible grades in college, only passed because of affirmative action, and has to prove it isn’t true.

Seriously, is Axelrod demented? Off his meds? In need of urgent professional mental health assistance?

These are the same people who were supposed to be the good guys they exposed Nixon. I didn’t realize it’s because they envied him. So what’s the lesson? Hang around long enough and you become what you despise? Somewhere Nixon is having a laugh. I bet his kids and grandchildren are chuckling.

Obama is a deceiver, a dissembler
His Mom trousers are alight
From what pole or banner
Shall they dangle in the night?
What infernal serpent
Has lent him his forked tongue?
From what pit of foul deceit
Have all his whoppers sprung?
What red devil of mendacity
Grips his sick soul with such tenacity?
Will not one in a nation he so cruelly showers with lies
Put a shoe between his empty eyes?

Four weeks from Tuesday will mark the first federal Election Day since 1944 — when Lt. John F. Kennedy was in his final weeks of Navy service — that has not featured a member of the famed political family on a ballot or seated in constitutional office.
The Kennedy’s: from Camelot to Camembert…oh how that family name now stinks.

This is not about persuading anybody who isn’t already on their side. It’s about building up anger among their base so that they’ll go vote. The problem is that most of the voters they need don’t watch any of these programs.
These desperate lies just add to the indignation of the the people who’ve been angered by the arrogance of the Congress and President over their wild spending and expansive regulatory legislation. Their tactics only prove that they know they’re about to have their heads handed to them.
They’re nothing if not determined, but what else would you expect from someone who used to lecture on Saul Alinsky’s methods?
flataffect on October 11, 2010 at 2:00 AM
Here’s the deal. Conservatives still haven’t grasped the reality of what’s happening. Obama isn’t just destroying the economy; he’s destroying the very foundation of democracy–open and honest debate where citizens draw their own conclusions and vote accordingly. Obama has given us every reason to fear. We have to fear what he’s doing to the nation, and those who engage in critical discussion of his actions have to fear reprisals. He attempts to silence any open and honest discourse of his actions by destroying the lives and reputations of people who engage the healthy exercise of democracy through critical, logical discussion.
Conservatives are playing the game using the rules of fair play that they believe are are moral imperratives. The left denies the reality of moral imperratives, and Obama is under no obligation to use any rules of decency. He just needs to give the appearance to fool the masses. That’s why he could so easily launch his fight the smears campaign while smearing his opponents.
But what we really have to fear is the fact that almost two years after the election, the mainstream media still continue to cover for him. Conservatives who stand up to Obama have every reason to fear left wing mob mentality stirred up by carefully planted lies invented by Team Obama and propagated by the mainstream media. Actually, the lies don’t have to be carefully crafted or planted; the media won’t question them anyway.
We’ve experienced bad Presidents before, but we just can’t come to grasp the idea that we can elect a President who would, as a fundamental matter of intent, work to destroy the form of government, and the culture that created it, that has improved the lives of people the world over.

Actually the American people can grasp this and are changing.
The result is that the American people are now inside the OODA loop of the Administration and the Left and they don’t know what to do. The people can change faster than their politicians and political structures and the result will be the revamping of those structures once the people start to get their input… Obama wants to stop that, but he is now the reactionary, not the one heading forward. And America isn’t much into reactionaries. In trying to over-burden and Cloward-Piven the old structure, the new structure that the Left wants to form is also brought down by a people who tear down and re-build far faster than they can imagine. What we will have in a decade or two will not even begin to resemble the US as it was in the 20th century… nor will it be an authoritarian system like Obama and the rest of his cohorts want. Those old systems have failed, and if we the people have failed in electing this bozo, then we the people will change this Nation so it can’t suffer that sort of nonsense and do so in a very civil and congenial way.
The reactionaries had civilized people.
And they hate citizens even more: citizens are free people who are armed and mean their freedom.
Better to be a citizen than a subject of government as that soon makes you the object of government… citizens are self-governing and don’t want to be subjected to or become objects of government. I expect the ride will be pretty hairy for the interim period between now and a decade or two. I hope you didn’t like the 20th century over-much, for it is about to go under once and for all in America.

We still do not know where 10′s of millions of dollars given to ObaMao and the Dems came from for 2008. They received credit card donations on the internet that have not been shown to be legal yet.
Typical Dem polilitcs – accuse the Republicans of something they are guilty of and rely on the ignorance of people and the press to get away with it.

Obama, bring the president’s office to a new low…lower then when Clinton was being “serviced” in the oval office, that was personal…Obama is taking this national.
Never in the history of modern politics, has a president stooped so low, had such disregard for the office of what so many died to defend and honor.
He has moved from being a poor choice, to being an embarrassment, to being a disgrace…in just a little less then two years.

The press is not ignorant. They are willing accomplices in the lies, obfuscations, deletions and cover-ups. Never ascribe to ignorance that which is attributable to evil.

The mask has been off for a while, but it is clearly undeniable now that these people are tyrants of the kind we have fought wars against.
From WND via Drudge:
A 16-hour-old newborn was snatched from her parents by authorities in Concord, N.H., after social services workers alleged the father is a member of Oath Keepers.
The organization collects affirmations from soldiers and peace officers that they would refuse orders that violate the U.S. Constitution, in light of what they perceive as the advance of socialism in the U.S.
The father, Johnathon Irish, told WND that the affidavit signed by Child Protective Service worker Dana Bicford seeking government custody of newborn Cheyenne said the agency “became aware and confirmed that Mr. Irish associated with a militia known as the ‘Oath Keepers.’”
Akzed on October 11, 2010 at 8:52 AM
Actually that is the one allegation that I often thought the most possible. It would imply either he was “foreign” OR a cheater – neither of which speaks highly for him.
katiejane on October 11, 2010 at 9:21 AM
The fact of the matter is that Rove was right about O’Donnell, but wrong in his timing. If he wants to go on about electability in the days before the primary, it is quite appropriate for him to do so. But after the primary, such views are not only irrelevant, but damaging to the party.
Karl Rove’s need to be “right” overshodowed his need to support the Party. It is just narcissism, plain and simple. Not to the breathtaking level displayed by the President of the United States, of course, but narcissism nonetheless.
Haiku Guy on October 11, 2010 at 9:42 AM
As I said above, we haven’t truly come to grips with what Obama is doing and that it’s possible for him to get away with it. We view of American politics within our traditional, conservative views where we assume that decent and logical debate wins. The Democrats gain power by fracturing society and pitting one segment against another. The mob mentality that necessarily results becomes a weapon to use against those who adhere to a fundamental belief in absolute standards of decency.
For those who don’t believe this can happen in the United States, I’d suggest taking a good look at Chicago. Consider it a proof of concept. It was successfully tested locally and now Obama has brought Chicago politics to the national level.
All this madness, of course, would come to an end if the mainstream media would just do their job. Plots by the Left would be exposed for what they are.

I like the Democrats logic. So Obama prove you are a United States citizen! Also prove you are highly intelligent by releasing your grades then prove Rezko didn’t make a sweetheart financial deal with you. (Famous cricket chirping)

Childishly transparent and undeniably amateurish……this is 2nd string crap here. Probably the worst diversion attempt by this admin yet.
First (even if true)… nobody gives an “F” about the Chamber of Commerce. Second, you’re giving media the opportunity to cast some light on Ol’ Jug-Ear’s foreign donations (BP right off the top of my head and aren’t union donations typically chock-full of foreign goodness???).

If the media weren’t Obama’s little butt-boys, his little bee-yotches, they would be hammering Axelrod’s Stalinist formulation of justice. I’d have demanded, “Fair enough – can you prove you aren’t a child molester? Then you must be, right, going by YOUR rules?”
I don’t think the people are fooled by this crap, though – it is obviously desperation, throwing all the crap they can hoping something sticks.
Remember when they swooned over Obama’s political brilliance? Heh. How embarrassing, for him and for them, that he is showing what an incompetent buffoon he really is. Loved the exhortation to the activists to get to work – “Don’t make me look bad, y’all!” – followed by an early tee time.
