Oh yes: First “Hillary 2012″ ad hits the airwaves
posted at 5:09 pm on September 2, 2010 by Allahpundit
No no no, of course she’s not behind it. It’s some random Hillary fan who’s paying for it. Or is it?
The commercial was paid for by a Chicago dentist named William DeJean.
When asked why he put the ad up, DeJean told CNN Thursday that “I’m a dentist and I don’t think this country is headed in the right direction.”
Regarding Clinton, DeJean says “I think she is the most qualified.”
DeJean adds that he thinks people are having buyer’s remorse about President Barack Obama and says the current administration is ruining the Democratic Party. He says he spent $5,000 to create the commercial and tells CNN that besides New Orleans, the ad will run in Washington, New York and Los Angeles, and possible Houston. DeJean says he chose to first run the ad in New Orleans because he’s a native of the city and because the city’s in the news due to the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina.
I’ve explained before why the idea of a Hillary primary challenge to The One will never, ever happen, but darn it, as a former supporter of Operation Chaos and a professional Obama critic, I’m duty bound to hype the living shinola out of this thing. Especially since I’m convinced that if Hillary were president now instead of The One, not only would her policies have been substantially similar to his — unless, of course, she wisely decided to table health-care reform in order to concentrate on unemployment instead — but that public opposition to her would be even more intense than it is to O. As much as I like her personally, I think much of the public finds her a lot easier to demonize than Bambi. (And I’d bet dollars to donuts that most Clinton insiders agree.) Imagine all the Hillary-as-the-Joker “socialism” posters we’ve missed out on, my friends. Hypothetical approval rating at this point in her term: I’d guess 36-37 percent, if she’s lucky.
In honor of the first woman to ever seriously contend for the presidency, I leave you with this piece at NRO about liberal feminists rallying to the defense of … Sarah Palin. Good work, Vanity Fair: You’ve finally given the left a reason to defend their least favorite conservative.

So why do you want a female version of Obama at the helm?
Does not compute … error, error.

Hillary and Obama are the same in their goals and ideologies. It’s just that Clinton is much better at hiding it, except when she proclaimed at one of the debates that she was a “proud progressive”.
I mean c’mon … the first thing Hillary tried to do when Bill won was shove HillaryCare on us. The only reason it didn’t go through was Bill.

Hillary backs up almost everything Obama’s done. She is NOT thee most qualified for the job. She would have done all that Obama’s done. The only difference I could see is…it may have taken her a bit longer to achieve it, but her agenda matches his.
capejasmine on September 2, 2010 at 5:27 PM
If Obama is so unpopular in 2012 that Clinton successfully primaries him, the country won’t be electing Clinton either.
If you’ve reached the point where your own party won’t re-elect you, don’t count on Independents voting for a member of your party to serve four years as president.
amerpundit on September 2, 2010 at 5:27 PM
She’s another stealth Marxist and liberty-killing control freak. If Obama crashes and burns, the Democrats will try to position her as a more moderate alternative, but she is not. In her favor, at least she probably doesn’t identify closely with Islam.
Cara C on September 2, 2010 at 5:30 PM
Oh, and I think Hillary would have been a better Prez than Obama.
She may have many of the same liberal sympathies, but the Clintons are primarily pragmatic and self-interested.

Why? Is it her natural warmth? Her genuine concern for the little guy? That sweet, kindly voice she uses on the campaign trail (or the ghetto girl voice she uses at black churches)? The way she treated White House staff and the Secret Service with such respect and dignity? Do you just like a lady who cusses like a sailor? Is it the pantsuits? One could, I suppose, respect Shrillery’s political talents, but for the life of me I simply cannot imagine why anyone would “like her personally.” There just isn’t anything there to like. She’s coarse and vulgar and angry and shrill. Heck, her own husband can’t stand her. I don’t think her Princess Bride kid is very fond of her either. Really? “As much as I like her personally…”? This throws me. This really throws me. Consider me flummoxed.

macncheez on September 2, 2010 at 5:34 PM
It seems the only thing that cowed the Clintons and kept them from being their usual political selves last time was because ZerObama was black.
Since I believe he and Her Thighness are one and the same, what exactly has changed (she’s a marxist, too) that will make her go after him with total abandonment? She couldn’t bring the hammer down the first go, so why would it happen now? Especially since he will be the incumbent…and normally, the incumbent’s don’t have challengers on their own side. Questions, questions….
Gob on September 2, 2010 at 5:35 PM
True. But there were plenty of disgruntled Hillary fans who moved right after her loss. Couple that with liberal love of capturing the “historic vote” and singular hatred of Palin, and I wonder if they wouldn’t be just as energized this time around.
Pure speculation, of course.

Slick Willie was considered the biggest liar ever to be elected president. Add Hillary and there have never been any couple that have occupied the White that could ever even come close to their depth of dishonesty until now. Obama, alone, is totally incapable of the truth and his failure to say one true thing as president has set him apart for his place in presidential history.

Yes because Hillary and Obama are so different and she would never support universal healthcare, amnesty, wealth redistribution, higher taxes, or the Ground Zero Mosque. Hillary is a moderate, dontcha know. The only thing Hillary and Obama don’t have in common is black liberation theology–otherwise they are two socialist peas in a pod.
Redneck Woman on September 2, 2010 at 5:42 PM
I think the main point of this is that democrats are grasping for comfort to doctor their Obama boo-boos. Obama, the man who was to recede the oceans. Obama, the candidate who killed the Clinton political machine. Or did he?

“Vast, right-wing conspiracy…”

I’ve always believed, just mho, that Pelosi and Reid wanted someone more malleable in the WH and did everything they could to give Hillary the boot. There isn’t much difference between Hill and BO ideologically as others have pointed out, but Hillary is much stronger and a more savvy politician. Had she finally won the cherished prize I doubt she would allow Pelosi to damage her shot at a second term. We would have some sort of health care bill, but Hill might have insisted that it be handled differently. The Clintons were always poll driven, and it was obvious Pelosi and Reid were driving the party off a cliff.

I can’t say what I think about Hillary without being banned. Both of the Clintons disgust me, and quite honestly if she were to win, I would have to go ex-pat. There’s no way I could endure her after four years of the current creep.

Cody1991 on September 2, 2010 at 6:07 PM
They are both unqualified hard left nitwits. Barry’s race card trumped Hillary’s gender card and that is why the media decided to elect him president. Barry did not win the nomination. He was awarded the nomination. Giggles has now poisoned the well and Hillary cannot run since she is a visible member of his failed administration.
The reawakening of the silent majority should mean the end for both Hillary and Barry. I sure hope so.
DeweyWins on September 2, 2010 at 6:08 PM
This is the woman to beat on the Democratic side and Conservatives better start realizing this.
You won’t beat her with Mitch McConnel in charge of the Senate, John Cornyn in charge of the NRSC, and Michael Steele in charge of the RNC.
If we take the majority in both houses – count on Obama paving the way for Hillary by using every opportunity to paint the GOP Congress as “evil mongers” and – he’ll be successful at it. In 2012, if things aren’t any better economically … both Obama and the GOP will have low ratings which will leave a crack for Hillary and Bill to squeeze through.
Which is why I say people better STOP thinking about winning a majority and START thinking about who will be fighting the battle in 2012. Put good people in NOW – not because they wear a red shirt – but because they are GOOD.

That changed EVERYTHING. It wasn’t just a family here or there. It was an entire community burned to death, no trial, and subsequent to the Fed’s fire, no evidence, either. Maligned by the media, “Wackos in Waco”, completely Marxist abuse of authority.
