Obamateurism of the Day

posted at 8:05 am on August 31, 2010 by Ed Morrissey

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then this one really needs no explanation (via Jeff Emanuel on Twitter):

Got an Obamateurism of the Day? If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me atobamaisms@edmorrissey.com with the quote and the link to the Obamateurism. I’ll post the best Obamateurisms on a daily basis, depending on how many I receive. Include a link to your blog, and I’ll give some link love as well. And unlike Slate, I promise to end the feature when Barack Obama leaves office.

Illustrations by Chris Muir of Day by Day. Be sure to read the adventures of Sam, Zed, Damon, and Jan every day!

They put in new drapes and carpeting, and painted in the Oval Office while they were on Vacation #8, so maybe she cut up the old ones. Her outfits on Inauguration Day looked like they came from the Scarlett O’Hara’s Mother’s Curtains Collection.

It’s disturbing, isn’t it?

I could be accused of being mean and overly critical. It wouldn’t be the first time, but here’s the way I see the situation.

MO is a large, middle-aged woman with two children. She has an, ahem, unfortunate figure. The fact that she will not accept these things and dress accordingly is embarrassing. She insists on dressing like a teenager in silly, cupcake dresses that only the most petite can wear.

She also happens to ~~~ temporarily ~~~ be the First Lady, yet she dresses and behaves like anything but a lady.

She could dress in simple, elegant outfits (with sleeves) for both casual and formal occasions and look stunning. Instead, she appears to be in a frightening state of denial much like her husband.

I read the other day that there are women buying dresses and shirts at thrift stores, cutting off the sleeves and mailing them to the WH. lol

My point is that these two are utterly clueless and ridiculous in every way possible.

Nothing else matters to BHO and the Dems. As painful and destructive as it has been it will hopefully be their undoing.
