GOP candidate: Palin totally let me down by endorsing all these RINOs
posted at 6:53 pm on August 18, 2010 by Allahpundit
Via Conservatives4Palin, which naturally is destroying this guy over this. It’s as mild a knock on Palin as you can get, though: He really likes her but he can’t stomach the Fiorina endorsement, even though for the moment Carly’s nomination looks like it’ll pay huge dividends for the GOP. (Anyone seriously believe the more right-wing, less well funded Chuck DeVore would fare as well in a California general election?) What you’re seeing here, I think, is the downside to Palin’s most remarkable talent — convincing her most devoted supporters that she’s not actually a politician but rather some sort of avatar of conservatism and guileless authenticity for whom self-interest and strategy never enter the equation. She bet on Fiorina because she thought Fiorina could win, because it helps her brand of supporting conservative women, and, perhaps, because backing a perceived moderate might help to soften her own media-driven image as some sort of right-of-Buchanan Bircher/theocrat hybrid. Kelly thinks she should have backed DeVore because, well, he was the “true conservative” in the race and that’s all that matters, even though it wasn’t all that matters to Palin. Or maybe I’m not giving Kelly enough credit for strategizing, and this is simply his attempt to exploit her image to prove his own “true conservative” bona fides. He’s more red-state than even Sarahcuda!
Speaking of exploiting Palin’s image, Sheryl Crow’s got a new song out dumping on her for “ranting.” But then, that’s what artists do, my friends — take bold, unconventional stands that less brave hearts wouldn’t dare take.

Isn’t Sheryl Crow the mad hippie green junkie who claimed she only used 1 sheet of toilet paper to clean up after using the necessary and then backtracked when people went “ick”? Seems like I just read on Drudge a few days ago that she was demanding recyled (ick again) toilet paper. Sounds like someone with their fingers on the pulse of America baby?
Tacitus on August 18, 2010 at 6:57 PM
It’s like someone said on here…sorry, can’t remember the name….When you vote for Fiorina (or Mark Kirk or Mike Castle), you’re really voting for Jim DeMint to be the chairman of some powerfull committee. You HAVE to look at the picture this way.

It amazes me that people continue to paint Palin with the “typical politician” brush. Her endorsements are not made for the same reasons that other politicians make endorsements. She knows that some of her endorsees will lose. She made this clear in her latest FB post:
“Regardless of whether the many candidates I’ve had the honor of endorsing win or lose this time around, I support them because they boldly shake things up in their primary races. They don’t just sit on the sidelines whining; instead, they are in the arena fighting for commonsense constitutional conservative solutions; and in their oft-characterized (and enormously challenging) “underdog” status, they all exemplify the qualities of a winner who will serve admirably and for all the right reasons.”

This guy represents everything haywire with the Tea Party. I’m not speaking on behalf of Palin either.
Reagan? Does this guy know Reagan’s commandment – though will not speak ill of another Republican. Its the antithesis of the Tea Party. Reagan drank and hung with Tip O’Neill. He supported all factions of the GOP.
But because their is anger, outrage and anti-Obama senitment out there, some Tea Partiers believe that outrage is the same as their outrage. That suddenly America morphed into a country where a majority are Constistutional conservative, even though that same majority just voted for the liberal Democrats twice (and, for the first time in our country’s history, a majority will pay no federal income taxes).
I actually like Palin more for recognizing demographics and aviablility.

Jenfidel on August 18, 2010 at 7:28 PM
So, what? You’d rather have Barbara Boxer kick the mortal sh!t out of Chuck DeVore than see Fiorina voting for Republican leadership in the Senate?
California, Illinois and Delaware are not, and likely never will be, Wyoming, Mississippi, and Utah. Christine O’Donnell will lose badly to Coons; Mike Castle win mop the floor with him, right-wing fantasies notwithstanding. Mark Kirk has a legitimate shot at taking BHO’s old Senate seat. We should celebrate that, not cry over his shortcomings. And Fiorina is making a legitimate run at winning a seat for the GOP in one of the most reliably blue states.
Would you rather concede these races in the name of ideological purity? If so, please get the hell out of the GOP, for you are doing us no favors.
JohnGalt23 on August 18, 2010 at 7:28 PM
Lance is a liberal but he did like W. They rode bikes together. I just had a hilarious flash back of that picture of Obama attempting to ride that bike during the campaign. That ridiculous large helmet, and a bike that looked like a girls. What a difference between Obama and Bush when it comes to rugged outdoors.

annoyinglittletwerp on August 18, 2010 at 7:32 PM
On the other hand, what good is pushing losers?
You have to actually WIN to be in control.
I know you two love to Bash Palin, but she has picked some SOLID conservatives over the establishment candidates. One biggie is Nikki Haley. She was unknown until Sarah chose her. By far better than the rest. Of course, after the endorsement, she went out and busted her butt to win.
An endorsement is good, but a candidate still has to go out and fight too.
I’ll take Sarah’s judgment over the GOP establishment’s every day of the week.

Say, say what you want to (If your Obama is really an America the Founding Fathers would never know it)
All you Americans with open hearts
Don’t let Obama and his sycophants hatred of you tear America apart
And if you wonder who is wrong and who is right
Better go look at the Constitution to shine some light
Lawsuits and anti-Arizona and his Eric Holder are such a pain
Talking MSM heads and their hate and slander against Americans endless campaign
If King George were to come back today
Would Americans take him back again or want King Hussein Louie to stay?

I think the long term view is needed here. I don`t think (sadly) that you can get a staunch conservative elected in a statewide election in CA. Maybe we can if we win the majorities back and the GOP governs with strong conservative values and proves the case to others that is the right path. Until then, I think we will have to suffer through Scott Brown, Maine sisters, Fiorinam and others. I do know this, I want Carly to win this over Barbara Boxer.

Not that I had an ounce of respect for your opinion anyway, but you are insane with this rant.
It’s actually the other way around. Christine O’Donnell will easily win in November. Castle will not. Plenty of actual polling to back that up.
Past that, Castle votes with the democrats 100 percent of the time, and has already made a deal to switch parties if elected.
Castle MUST be defeated.
THIS is a special election, if Christine O’Donnell wins, she will be seated immediately. She will be a vote to STOP the lame duck session. Castle will be a vote to advance ALL of Obama’s policies.
This is Joe Biden’s seat, BTW.

I apologize if this is OT…may or may not be. I’ve taken a second job teaching Real Estate continuing education, cuz’ the real estate market, um, SUCKS!
The director of my school is a really nice guy, but a total lib. I was given a copy of a Chicago Tribune article this morning as I walked in and was told that I should let everyone know that there is a lot of “misinformation” going around about the 3.8% tax on real estate sales that is: (OK, pay attention now:)CONTAINED IN THE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL!!!!
This director told me I SHOULD explain to my students that there is way too much mis-information out about this tax. Afterall, he explained, it ONLY kicks in if the seller has an adjusted gross income of $250,000 for a married couple, AND you have a capital gain of $500,000 on the value of your home. Therefore, I should communicate to the students: “Move on, nothing to see here, no prob, all is unicorn pooping skittles, only the really ugly, nasty, hate-filled rich will be impacted.”
<a href="http://www.moneyunder30.com/healthcare-law-real-estate-tax

At some point, what Sarah is trying to tell the Beltway through her endorsements (for the most part) is that the Party can’t be the “Me Too” party it was during the 1960′s and ’70′s and the big spending party it became during Bush’s term.
Above all things, Palin represents the Revolt of the Rank and File against the Beltway. It comes to the point that the kind of vanilla candidates that the Beltway wants don’t fly out in the country.

Well, the reason that conservatives4palin.com destroyed this guy is for one reason only…
since none of the Republican Establishment figures and pundits and many of the conservative bloggers did not step up and defend Sarah Palin through all the smears and lies from the liberals and the lamestream media in 2008 and through 2009 (some even participated in the attacks and wisecracks), conservatives4palin.com was created to have her back… and as can be seen, even the slightest negative comment gets the full treatment.
