Take the quiz: Real or fake?

Bankrupting America has a fun new man-on-the-street video from The Rebel Economist that asks passers-by to determine whether a described pork-barrel project is real — or fake? Hot Air readers may recognize one or two of these questions, but even the well-informed could get tripped up in this segment. The best rule of thumb is to ask yourself whether a reasonable person would ever suggest using taxpayer dollars for the projects described by Rebel Economist — and if the answer is no, then make sure you say yes.
Maybe voters should play the lightning and thunder round this November.

read the comments at youtube. plenty of water carriers ready to tell us that these programs are not as ridiculous as they sound. They bring up the Chinese prostitute program and even defend it as it is meant to combat Aids. The commenter fails to mention that it is in CHINA. Seriously, some people are really thick. This was supposed to stimulate OUR economy. We already stimulate the Chinese economy enough.

I don’t think it is enough to just tell us about it…I want to see the name and face of the congressional member who sponsored it plastered right next to the short desciption of the legislation that approved the wasteful funding. I want to see the name and picture of the receipient as well their connection to the memeber of Congress who gave them the funds. And while we’re at it…I’d also like to see the name and picture of the “environmentalist” who have such a stranglehold on us, especially here in CA, so that we can know who exatly is running and ruining our way of life!

I had to read them myself before I would believe anyone would actually defend this. Some people think that the whole video is a lie or a scam or “taken out of context”. This country will survive Obama, but it probably won’t survive the people who elected him.
