Obama is heading for Bush territory in job approval, which took Bush more than five years to reach.

Of course Bush had all the glowing supportive MSM coverage throughout his 60 month tenure. Something Obama has never received in his short 18 months in office.

Agree. I think I greatly misjudged Dubyah, and based my views on Dem propaganda and media coverage, but I repeat myself there dont I?

I am sorry. It wasnt until the media hammer turned on MY candidate (HRC) during our primaries that the blinders were taken from my eyes.

I try to enlighten others now to the media machine. 9/10 times they tell me they agree and the media absolutely lies and 1/10 I get a diehard lib under age 25 who wouldnt know their axx from a hole in the ground. They cling to O like their cheesy poofs despite the 25% UE rate amongst young peeps.

anywho, the O campaign wasnt the best run evah! it was the most assisted by media evah! it was THE MEDIAs campaign, journOlist shows that. If we ever got to see what they were saying on journOlist during our Dem primaries I guarantee they were plotting taking Hill down for the One. the frakkers.

IMO the American people have totally tuned out the media elites at this point. we will have the proof of where things stand this November.

Rasmussen’s job approval numbers have been around 46% for months, because Ras polls job approval the sum of “strongly approve” and “somewhat approve”, and some voters might approve of some of Obama’s policies, disapprove of others, and classify themselves as “somewhat approve”.

Rasmussen also polls the difference between “strongly approve” and “strongly disapprove”, and “strongly approve” has been mired in the upper 20′s for months, while “strongly disapprove” has been in the low 40′s. Combined with “somewhat disapprove”, total Obama DISAPPROVAL has been a MAJORITY (low to mid 50′s) for many months. Rasmussen is now telling us that 10% of the electorate mildly disapprove, and 40+% are PO’d!

Some of the other pollsters, who only measure “approve/disapprove” without a “somewhat approve / somewhat disapprove” option, give people a choice of “no opinion”, meaning that total “approval” will be lower than Rasmussen, but disapproval may be only a plurality, not a majority.

What is new here is that people are now willing to tell MSM pollsters, not just Rasmussen, that they don’t approve of Obama. Wonder why USA Today didn’t publish the disapprove number?

Can’t wait to see what those numbers will be in November.

Similar points and both well said. Don’t expect the MSM to do anything but ignore these facts for two reasons. It will show Obama as a cojoneless incompetent with a real marxist bent and it will expose their complicity in the Democrats effort to demonize anything Republican from late 2001 through 2008.
They may not be able to keep people from realizing they’re a bunch of stinking 5th columnists, but they aren’t going to consciously help us connect the dots.

I personally believe that the good old MSM was the major contributing factor in George Bush’s numbers. After years of bashing and smear campaigns the average dumb-ass American simply was not able to fend off the attacks on the President. President Bush had several critical situations arise shortly after taking office which influenced the economy on top of the Dems preposterous activities in the Florida election after which the heat never really lowered. This current fool has brought it down on himself for helping to engineer a failed economy and then not being able to fix what he helped ruin. If you disagreed with this assessment you are welcome to do your own homework. I suggest you start with George Soros, Apollo, ACORN, CRA, FannieMae, FreddieMac and everyone involved. Thank you.

I watched the Bush-bashing with fascination. It became a meme all it’s own without any basis in fact for many people. It was almost like a lemming march with the way people would react.

I know when people would start Bush-bashing to me and I wouldn’t reciprocate or I would say something positive about him, people would literally do the “ewwwww” thing as if we were 10 year olds and I just told them I like brussels sprouts.

Living in a college town, I watched firsthand people being pressured by their peers to buy into the Bush-bashing for no other reason to “fit in” with the crowd.

Honestly, it’s one of the strangest things I’ve ever seen.

For those who don’t remember, Obama got 66% of the Hispanic vote in the 2008 election.
