Video: The campaign ad of the year?

Granted, the competition’s stiff, but the other contenders are jokey. Not this one. West is already enough of a rock star among grassroots conservatives that I assume you don’t need much background, but for the few who don’t know what the ad is about, this will set you right. All the core military virtues are here: Tough on the enemy, protective of his men, honest about his actions. As character references for job applications go, you can scarcely do better.
Speaking of job applications, anyone seen any recent polls for his House race? The last one I found had him up two on incumbent Ron Klein, but that was at the end of April. All losses are tough but, like the Nevada and Florida Senate races, a loss in this one would be extra bitter. This’ll help avert that.

I know people here assume that Palin is my favorite political figure. Not so. Colonel West is. He is a hero who feels called to serve his country yet again.

I saw a clip a while back of Keith Olbermann trying to paint Allen West as an extremist. He referred to him as a disgraced former Army Lt Col who left the army in shame. West has more honor and integrity in his little finger than Olbermann has in his whole body.
When idiots like Olbermann think they are fit to question the honor of people like Allen West, we are truly in a F’d up world.

I was a big fan of Allen West prior to seeing this ad… or so I thought. The personal integrity in choosing to run this ad during his political campaign is something rarely, if ever, seen in politics. I have an enormous respect for this man regardless of the outcome of his election, and my admiration for him only continues to grow.

As a community organizer, Obama once told a Chicago alderman that he would only give him a small kickback in return for the alderman’s help with a land deal. The alderman wanted twice as much but Obama stayed strong.
The land deal was done.

Klein’s been keeping a low profile, in Palm Beach County. I would expect him to come out swinging during the recess. Klein’s cronies pulled a nasty one, when Allen West, and his wife, were supposed to be honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Society and some friends of Klein, who were large donors, threatened to pull their substantial donations if Col West was honored. Then the National organization chimed in saying that, because they were a tax exempt organization, they couldn’t appear to endorse a political figure, all the while, having a picture of Ed Markey, from Massachusetts, in their web page. Apparently this organization only needs donations from Liberal Democrats. Good luck with that.
Col. West is rapidly becoming a rock star here in Palm Beach County. Klein is going to have to pull some really nasty stuff to overcome that.

The truth as I see is that we no longer have men in Western governments who are willing to defend our way of life. I find this prosecution of Geert Wilders to be an example of abject cowardice. How can it be that Islam has become such an intimidating religion that men cower away? And I address “men” because I have found more often that women are taking a stand and condemning this modern-day totalitarian, imperialistic radical ideology mired in antiquated 7th century concepts.
Islam as a religion elevates and follows a man who was nothing more than a psychopath, murderous warlord, and by modern-day standards a sexual deviant and pedophile. Islam as a political entity is based upon complete submission and seeks only to subjugate and suppress every freedom we cherish in western civilization. Until Islam undergoes a reformative process bringing it into alignment with the rest of the world, then I shall reject it, and stand against it. The converse I find reprehensible; to convert, be subjugated, or die, which are the Koranic options given to me, a non-Muslim.
I will gladly peacefully coexist with Islam. Can the same be said in reverse? And do not tell me about the Koranic verse stating, “there is no compulsion in religion,” because I understand the theory of naskh or abrogation. That means that the later verses of the Koran supersede previous verses. As a result, most violent verses in the Koran abrogate previous “peaceful” writings.
Have I just committed hate speech? No, it is the truth according to the Koran and the Hadiths, and I have no fear in stating such. I will not allow Western civilization nor America to be paralyzed by soft or hard jihad, by legal tactics, nor kinetic attacks. I pledge to fight, not for myself, but for others, for our future and legacy which we leave our children and grandchildren. Any man that cannot find the courage to do so as well, especially leaders in western civilization, I call a coward.
Geert, stand resolute, my comrade. You will win this fight, and we shall defeat this third jihad and incursion to defeat our way of life.
