As Judge Susan Bolton noted in her decision on the Arizona SB1070, running a records check on Leslie Macko and other poster girls and boys would be too much of a burden on FBI criminal records internet database.

The politicians, especially Obama and the big-government types, like to talk about "unemployment insurance" as though it was a gift from government.

The reality is that "unemployment insurance" is a tax on employers...and an especially onerous and expensive tax in an environment such as this one!!!

Any expansion of unemployment benefits will necessarily remove money from potential employers and thus diminish the possibility of more employment!!!

And the worst effect is that "unemployment insurance" falls most heavily on new businesses and businesses who have never laid anyone off: the very businesses that would otherwise provide the most new jobs!!!

Not many people get fired anymore. Most are asked to resign. It's a symptom of our overly litigious society. What if she was fired and charges were later dropped? She could go back and sue. She could win on third appeal, etc. Companies don't want to be burdened by the possibility of legal action so they take the easy way out.

At one time as I recall you could not get unemployment insurance if you were fired or quit voluntarily. Has that gone by the wayside as well?

I guess ACAC has no problem signing off on her unemployment claim. If an individual is dismissed with cause, companies usually fight the unemployment claim. This keeps their unemployment rates (at least in Delaware) down, especially since it's paid by the employer.

Obviously Obama's handlers are able to completely bypass the Secret Service's background / vetting procedures. If you or I tried to merely get on the White House tour with a cirminal record, we wouldn't be allowed in. But if you are a tool for the Obamunists, you get right in.

Getting ahead of ourselves: gotta indict and try Obi-Won first.

Another swing and a miss for the Champ.

I wonder why we never hear of any heads rolling for all of these unforced errors - and make no mistake about it, these are unforced errors. Doesn't this administration have any concern at all for the quality of what they do?

Rhetorical question there folks - no answer needed.

PS - I'd warrant the failure of the Preview button has something to do with a doubleclick script bombing.

Because she’s eligible for only a few more weeks of unemployment, she’s doing what she never thought she’d have to do. Not at this point, anyway. She’s turning to her father for financial support.

If her father can help her out, then why should we tax-payers intervene? Not everyone's parents are deadbeats, Barry.

Would it not be more realistic to blame some of the unemployment of estheticians on a lack-of-bush?

Don't be silly, of course the WH knows who Leslie Macko is, and how she's unemployed.

It is not likely, anybody from the streets gets a chance for an photo op with the POTUS.

Last time it happened, we had Joe the Plumber. And that is the absolute last time Obama's going to try something spontaneous.

How is Macko collecting unemployment at all?
I didn't think you were eligible if you either quit your job, or were "fired for cause".

Above and beyond the absolute pathetic inability of the Obama Administration to perform due diligence, there's this: She's turning to her father for financial support.

Why is this bad, but turning to taxpayers to support you just fine and dandy? This social justice stuff makes no sense. Unless you're a thief.
