So you’d rather see Castle get the senate seat? I’d rather see a Democrat get it than him. For his vote on C&T alone, he deserves to be out of a job.

She already ran against Biden for election to the Senate in 2008, if I recall correctly.

Coons is gung-ho for expanding gubmint, having done it at the county level himself here in New Castle County for the last four(?) years.

New York (Clinton’s seat)
Colorado (Salazar’s seat)
Illinois (Obama’s seat)
Florida (Martinez’ seat)
West Virginia (Byrd’s seat)

I’m not sure if any of these former senators would have been up in 2010 anyway, though.

Its not just when their up in 2010 though. Election law is governed by the state. Just because its a special election, doesn’t mean the winner gets to serve right away.

When a state elects an empty suit like Biden for 6 terms anything can happen.

The lady’s thin resume certainly is not an impediement given who voters have supplied to the Senate in the past, and a “thin resume” is very likely what many of Congress had in the old days, before professional politicians. Those Congresses appear rather wiser than our current one, which just happens to be the worst in some decades.

I would vote for her in a second. “Experience” in politics appears more and more to me to be a liability to my freedom than a benefit. Witness the Rasmussen (?) poll that “experienced” politicos have much less faith in me and free markets to solve issues than they do in their incredible wisdom. And I use incredible here to mean “not worth a crap”.

I’m not sure what sort of slam-dunk strategy you may think you are supporting if you support Castle, who is truly a liberal and makes Scott Brown look like Jim DeMint.

It makes no sense to me to do anything other than back the true conservative O’Donnell, win lose or draw, and advocate conservative principles until my dying breath, rather than adopt a strategy that is sure to be full of deplorable unintended consequences in backing a RINO like Castle.

Didn’t any of you learn anything about RINO’s!!!!! They will side with the Dems 99% of the time. I would rather lose with a conservative than give the seat to the Dems by way of a RINO! Apparently McShame wasn’t enough for you to learn. How many more election cycles will it take before people who call themselves Republicans will actually vote for a real Republican?

Thanks for posting this, Ed. She is correct in that there are very few in DE who know about the 9/14 primary. Getting that word out will be key to her success. I’m planning to send her a few bucks.
I believe she would do well against Coons in the lower two counties, as someone else pointed out. Unfortunately, the majority of the population is in New Castle county, and people in that county typically vote for a name they recognize. She would have a tough battle against Coons, much more so than Castle would.
Even though Mike Castle has repeatedly let us down, I’d support him in the primary over Christine if I felt she would lose the seat to Coons. That’s going to make it a tough decision for me on 9/14.

I am not sure why anyone would vote for Mike Castle unless you were a Democrat. He’s a gun grabber, tax hiker, cap and trade lover stimulus fan. There’s absolutely nothing Republican about him. Outside of a vote for majority leader, he will vote the same as Chris Coons.
