Revealed: The Obama Donor List

posted at 9:53 am on July 24, 2010 by Anita MonCrief

Cross-posted from my new site Emerging Corruption.com

For a number of years traditional print media has been on life support, but after the revelations from  Tucker Carlson’s The Daily Caller, it looks like someone finally pulled the plug. The expose on Journolist, a now defunct, listserv that included hundreds of liberal journalists, detailed:

  • the Journolisters’ attempt, during the 2008 presidential campaign to kill and bury stories about Obama’s relationship with “Reverend” Jeremiah Wright;
  • their push to deliberately smear innocent conservative journalists and politicos as “racists” and “bigots”
  • their twisted passion to see Rush Limbaugh killed off and dead;
  • their intolerant desire to have the government censor and shut down Fox News; and
  • their baldly partisan effort to coordinate liberal talking points that would discredit Sarah Palin and John McCain, while helping to elect Barack Obama president.

Considering that Journolist included journalists from Washington Post, the New York Times, National Public Radio, New Republic, and Time, one has to wonder if the biggest story covered up in 2008 was the illegal coordination between ACORN and the Obama campaign.

Below is a screen shot from the newly released Obama 2nd quarter 2007 donor list. ACORN obtained this donor list from the Obama Campaign in 2007 to target maxed out presidential donors.

OBAMA DONOR FILE SCREEN SHOT

Revealed: Obama Donor File Part 1

As a confidential source for the New York Times, I turned this document over to reporter Stephanie Strom months before the 2008 presidential elections and though the list includes information more complete than what the Obama campaign turned over to the Federal Election Commission, the NYT decided to bury the story.

Strom and I used pseudonymous e-mail addresses while communicating and in 2008, Strom wrote:

“I’m calling a halt to my efforts. I just had two unpleasant calls with the Obama campaign, wherein the spokesman was screaming and yelling and cursing me, calling me a rightwing nut and a conspiracy theorist and everything else…”

After this weeks revelations about the efforts of the liberal media to cover-up or spike stories damaging to Obama, Strom’s next words are even more telling:

“What’s happened is that the campaign has answered some of my questions on the record — but when I sought on-the-record answers to my questions about the meeting and about the list, the campaign insisted on speaking only on background. When I asked why, I got the barrage I described earlier. Clearly, I’ve hit a nerve with what you’ve told me. The campaign knows that having the allegations of meeting attributed to ‘former employees’ — and there are more than one of you talking — and having an anonymous denial of the meeting makes it harder for me to get it into the paper.”

In 2008 the liberal media provided the cover needed for Obama to get elected, but two years later, questions remain about his relationship with ACORN and it has been clear that Obama has lied repeatedly to the American people. Its time to get Obama and ACORN on the record about what really happened with the donor lists in 2007 and 2008.

The release of the Obama donor list to the public will be followed by a formal complaint to the FEC, which both Obama and ACORN will have to respond to – on-the-record.

In 2009, the Democrat controlled Judiciary Committee heard testimony from attorney Heather Heidelbaugh, who read my 2008 testimony against ACORN into Congressional record. Evidence, and sworn testimony were among the facts ignored by the members of the committee:

“Based on the testimony, Project Vote, ACORN and other ACORN affiliated entities illegally coordinated activities with the Obama presidential campaign, converting the expenditures by Project Vote, ACORN and ACORN affiliated entities to illegal, excessive corporate contributions to the Obama presidential campaign, in violation of federal law.”

“Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty—power is ever stealing from the many to the few…. The hand entrusted with power becomes … the necessary enemy of the people. Only by continual oversight can the democrat in office be prevented from hardening into a despot: only by unintermitted Agitation can a people be kept sufficiently awake to principle not to let liberty be smothered in material prosperity. – Wendell Phillips, speech in Boston, Massachusetts, January 28, 1852.”

Wonderful post. Thank you.

This is an excellent post here, Ms. Moncrief.

I have been wondering if but what the general JournoList was used as “anonymous source/s” in the Obama campaign, what with so many articles published media-wide that exposed statements and positions (and smears of others) that were sourced to “an anonymous source” or “a source who asked to remain anonymous”.

It just may have been JournoList references, meaning, it was propaganda, heresay, gossip written-up to appear more formal or to bear actual autority to the casual reader.

You really have to wonder that if Franklin Roosevelt was still alive today and was witness to what was happening to his own Democratic Party.

I think that it would either make him sick to his stomach to the point that he’d announce he was switching to the Republican Party, or he would be engaged in a national campaign to throw each and every single one of these corrupt vipers out of the party and ban them from politics forever.

I cannot believe how low the Democratic Party has allowed itself to get within my own lifetime! It is absolutely mind-boggling to witness the corrupting decay Liberalism can inflict.

their intolerant desire to have the government censor and shut down Fox News;

This is a campaign that’s been being touted for a while now by people weirdly associated with Obama…like Van Jones, like just about the entire array of Leftwing, Marxist/Communist “rights” groups who rely on attacking others based upon false allegations (always related to race, gender, ethnicity, and branching out from there).

As time goes by, revelation after revelation will have history present this as the most incompetent and corrupt administration in our nation’s history. This travesty was initiated by the complete defrauding of the American electorate by the mainstream media. If it was not for the internet, we would’ve been enslaved decades ago. That is why this adminstration, if left unchecked, will destroy life Americans have taken for granted by choking the internet and robbing of liberties guaranteed by the Constitution.

The release of the Obama donor list to the public will be followed by a formal complaint to the FEC, which both Obama and ACORN will have to respond to – on-the-record.

Is this going to be similar to the “President-Elect” shenanigans a la the Blago trial whereas the designation of team Obama depends upon what happened and when and what they call him. For example, will they say “The president elect’s office had no contact whatsoever with party X or party Y,” when in fact, it was pre-election and it was merely the Obama campaign–just another way to split the definition of “is”.

Meaningless unless:
1) The Republicans take at least the House in November.
2) The Republicans grow a pair and force subpeonas and testimony from all involved.
3) If the DOJ does not appoint a special prosecuter (if warranted) then the House must hold impeachment hearings.

With the Democrats holding the House, the Senate and the Executive branch there is no method to enforce illegalities of the administration. The Constitution has only one method of forcing the Executive Branch to obey the law, an impeachment hearing. Don’t start with President Obama. Start with Eric Holder for not appointing the prosecutor. Then how about a Supreme or two who say in their testimony that the 2nd amendment is settled law and then vote against it (Sotomayor). That would liven up the debate.

Somebody needs to explain what this is about, cause I sure can’t tell from the story.

Alana on July 24, 2010 at 11:03 AM

Real simple.
The Obama campaign solicited donations.
Current campaign law limits the amount an individual can donate to a campaign.
Campaigns are not allowed to coordinate with outside entities except their Party and there are limitations there too.
527 Organizations have no limits at all and can do whatever they want, as long as they do not coordinate with campaigns.
The Obama campaign coordinated and sent their confidential list of donors that had reached their legal limit to a Acorn’s 527 organization.

Ergo, the Obama campaign violated the law.

A bad thing, but what this article is about is how several news media outlets had proof of the illegality and choose to provide support for the Obama campaign. And still choose to not admit they participated in a cover-up.

What they knew and when they knew it.

barnone on July 24, 2010 at 11:18 AM

Spread this article to everyone you know and several hundred you don’t know… We must spread the truth on our own, as there is no media to do this work. Take Anita’s good work and spread it.

Keemo on July 24, 2010 at 11:21 AM

Donors that had maxed out contributions to the Obama campaign solicited by ACORN for more money.
From factcheck.org …

The Obama campaign also paid Citizens Services Inc., a group affiliated with ACORN, more than $800,000 for get-out-the-vote (not voter registration) efforts during the primary election. The nature of CSI’s services was initially misrepresented on the Obama campaign’s disclosures to the Federal Election Commission, which the campaign describes as an oversight. The Obama campaign says it has not been involved with ACORN during the general election.

that’s the kicker right there isn’t it. The coordination between the campaign and the 527…as well as the $$ limit violations.

ted c on July 24, 2010 at 11:33 AM

Thank you, Ms. Moncrief! This story got lost in the shuffle post-election and due to Obamacare. Without the data and links between groups, no one can make sense of what was going on. With the names, amounts and meetings that now comes together as an ongoing system to subvert election finance laws through the illegal collusion between campaigns and ‘independent’ not for profit organizations.

By supplying the names of the tapped out for the election, ACORN could solicit funds for their own pro-Obama work with the help of the campaign to identify wealthy donors willing to give more but prohibited by law from doing so. With those names the donors lists to ACORN and their timing can be matched up.

Fun will not be had.

Aggie85 on July 24, 2010 at 11:53 AM

Wiki needs a page on Anita Moncrief. I did find this though:

In May 2009, O’Reilly severely criticized the paper as “corrupt” for dropping a story about a possible violation of campaign laws by ACORN and the Obama campaign. O’Reilly claimed that sworn testimony before Congress by a former ACORN employee, Anita Moncrief corroborated the story. O’Reilly stated:

Strong evidence suggests the paper killed a story linking ACORN to some Obama people. Instead they ran a general piece stating ACORN has a left-wing bias, knowing that story would be largely ignored while the Obama connection would not be.[101]

In response, the New York Times ombudsman, Clark Hoyt stated it “was a normal and reasonable editorial decison” not to run the article. He said the Times had run four other stories on ACORN. The story in question had remained unpublished because Anita Moncrief had not provided independently verifiable proof. In addition, The Times ombudsman stated that Moncrief had not given sworn testimony to Congress as claimed by O’Reilly, and that she had credibility problems, having been fired from Acorn for employee theft.[102]

Gee, Hoyt’s response is soooooh weak, I wonder if Hoyt got his talking points from JournOlisters.

Send this post to Rush and Glenn Beck in order to exponentially widen the understanding of what has gone wrong with our election system, especially in 2008.

Is anyone else having a problem downloading the extended donor list? I assume it’s due to too much traffic but not being a techie…

CNN Host Calls For Crackdown on Bloggers…
Yep, they have lost control of the message and are going to become unhinged. The truth is spreading like a wild fire due to investigative bloggers such as Anita Moncrief. The leftist must stop the truth from spreading or risk becoming powerless.

Rock on Anita, and may God keep you safe from these monsters.

Anita, may God, the Blessed Mother and the Angels be with you. You are one classy and courageous mama grizzly!

John Fund, as I’m sure you know, has written a book about and is very involved in exposing Dem election fraud. You two should team up, you’re both terrific. You could get a weekly segment together on O’Reilly, Beck, Hannity, etc.; also think about quickly putting together regional conferences to train patriots in how to poll watch and what the law says. Maybe the conferences can be done via the internet, live streaming……..and there for future training purposes….

By supplying the names of the tapped out for the election, ACORN could solicit funds for their own pro-Obama work with the help of the campaign to identify wealthy donors willing to give more but prohibited by law from doing so. With those names the donors lists to ACORN and their timing can be matched up.

Anita,

the above is an example of a quick synopsis of what went on with the donor lists. If you could summarize in your posts the significance of:

a. sharing the donor list from a presidential campaign with a legally structured non-partisan entity such as Acorn, and,

b. what laws have been allegedly violated by this sharing and by the way Acorn & affililates utilized lists that were not supposed to be in their possession,

then, imho, a broader range of readers would be able to grasp the seriousness of the situation.

you could maybe copy it as an addendum at the end of each post; those who have read and understand could skip it; newbies would be informed and brought up to speed.

Just a thought.

FDR’s various and sundry campaigns weren’t run that much differently from Teh Won’s. If you read an actual history of FDR’s administration and the “New Deal” (hard to find, I know, most of what’s available is sugarcoated liberal drivel), you’ll see that Obama’s presidency is so close to identical to that of FDR, it’s scary.

I hope I’m wrong but is seems that inevitably Democrat campaign finance illegalities come to justice, if ever, many years later with a fine paid out of current Democrat campaign finances.

It’s a nuisance and a cost of doing the business of politics for Democrats, nothing more.
