New tea-party video: Janeane Garofalo explains why Obama’s liberal critics are racist

posted at 5:30 pm on July 16, 2010 by Allahpundit

Two minutes of fun from the Dallas Tea Party, and not the first time they’ve used YouTube to torment MSNBC’s heavily white talent roster. Even so, isn’t the big winner from this week’s dopey contretemps over alleged tea-party racism the NAACP? Granted, they’ve gotten a ton of pushback, but then that was always the point of passing that resolution — to start an ideological food fight that would drum up interest in a group whose influence has been waning for 40 years. Before this week, I’d bet not one in a hundred cable-news viewers had any idea who Benjamin Jealous was. Now, suddenly, he’s got Andrew Breitbart waging media war on him. No wonder Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton are trying to downplay the affair lest he nudge further into their spotlight. Well played, Mr. Jealous. Very well played.

Exit question: If tea-party racism is easy to find, why does lefty media have to doctor evidence?

Because they’re white.. and the white people sit in their white houses and do all their whitey stuff… which is racist… yeah.

Badbrucskie on July 16, 2010 at 5:51 PM

I think we need to start a legal assistance fund for libel or slander actions against wingnuts who run around calling people racist.

The problem is that nobody knows what racist means. The people hurling the epithet are, ironically, the most ignorant.

It is sickening to watch the talking heads who eschew numerous positions or say wonderful things about minorities or toss salt over their shoulders whenever any aspect of race is involved or even a possible ingedient.

Either someone becomes agressive on some front or we shall have more decades of this.

It’s depowered… at least in the intratubes… the racist argument isn’t carrying much weight on leftist forums and being seen as the political ploy it is…

If anything comes out of this 4 year nightmare of the Obama Presidency it may very well be that he ushered in a post-racial time of the US… But not in the way he imagined.

I can spell and construct sentences but I tye too fact.

My suggestion is to nominate a retort such as “third world nation maker” in response to the “racist” characterization.

But folks are afraid to offend the third world. They would rather see this nation changed to be just like a part of it!

Janeane Garofolo? Who?

Oh yeah, that Janeane Garofolo.

The unshaven, unkempt hairy, smelly, badly dressed, poorly groomed, halitosis breeding ground, manly and disgusting excuse for a leftist C-list commentator. The last time America saw the likes of creatures like this was in the early 60′s in the armpits of raving drug addicted hippies, groupies and Manson followers.

Most of America values her contributions as much as we value cat feces and the turds of toads. Yay. Janeane. Yay. For. Uhhhh. You.

Take a bath. Please.

Key West Reader on July 16, 2010 at 6:38 PM

I don’t understand why they would continue to give her exposure. Quit talking about the nutcase and she’ll get less and less exposure.

ButterflyDragon on July 16, 2010 at 6:39 PM

I’m beginning to believe its Rush Babies finally growing up. Or just the people that listened to Rush for years finally giving the stiff arm to the ‘leadership’ and fighting back themselves.

I disagree with AP, I don’t think this is what they expected. They have worked from a mantle of absolute moral authority for decades. If they proclaimed it racist, then everyone fell into line and agreed, and the ones accused begged forgiveness, or just prayed it went away and everyone forgot. The Bushies didn’t fight back against the James Byrd attacks in 2000. Were they outraged? Yeah. But they didn’t fight back.

This is new. The barbarians at the gates are fighting back and won’t be silenced anymore.

lizzie beth on July 16, 2010 at 6:40 PM

Better for us to know friends from not-so-friends. You think this makes the NAACP more relevant, or does this publicity remind us that they continue to live in the past? I thought the NAACP looked kinda pathetic.

I’ll give Janeane and Rosie credit for being genuine. Neither one will say anything they don’t actually believe.
Not sure if that improves their image at all, but there it is.

I thoroughly enjoyed those animated clips of C.J. (Carville) used in that parody. With his character being what it is, there should be lots more opportunities for A/V bits of him that can be used in future comedic presentations such as this.

Any thoughts on that?

Racist,racist,racist….

I find it funny that the people who are accused of racism only are racist to blacks. If someone were truly racist, they would hate Jews, Japanese,Chinese, Irish, German, Poles, Koreans, Iranians, Arabs, Native Americans, etc…I hear none of these groups complaining about WASP racism directed at them. It’s only the blacks that seem to have a problem. Maybe because there’s money in it. Sharpton, Jesse”Hymies”Jackson, NAACP, maybe they make money making those accusations. Seems to be a culture where they cry racism to get as much as they can through White Guilt and doing the least amount of work to get it. Reparations seem to be a right to these groups, and affirmative action is reparations as well as being racist itself. The left can’t seem to understand that blacks are “hated” even more by the rest of the world. Russia thinks they are animals, Muslims look at them as work animals, even Africans think African Americans are sub human. African Americans are treated better here and thought of as equal here more than anywhere in the world. This country spilled a lot of blood in order to have equality of men, I haven’t seen that anywhere else in the world.

Janeanne Garofalo is just another lib Progressive with massive self esteem problems combined with white guilt, along with no ability to use logic. The Tea Party is constantly accused of racism when the only thing they stand for is smaller more manageable government our Founders created for individual freedom, and getting government out of the way letting people use their freedom to conduct their lives with have a self determined right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Unlike the left whom seem to need a nanny state government to tell them how to live.

The NAACP is a tool of the Obama administration. Racism is the only thing they can throw at anything anti-Obama. The signs they talk about are either non-existant or are simply not even racist. It’s gotten to the point of the boy crying wolf way too many times for anyone to take it seriously anymore….

My two cents.

Honestly I didn’t make that connection right away and was puzzled by it’s overall message. It wasn’t until halfway through that I caught it.
