Video: New Black Panther Party to meet Tea Party
posted at 6:02 pm on July 8, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
What could go wrong? Well, plenty, which prompted Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher to ask New Black Panther Party Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz whether he would instruct his followers to “act within the law.” Shabazz declines to answer, instead repeating that Glenn Beck, who is headlining an event from the Lincoln Memorial on August 28th (which Beck says is not a Tea Party event), is a “sneaky little devil” who shouldn’t be allowed to speak in public. Tommy offers this clip from his upcoming exclusive interview with Shabazz:
Tommy Christopher: What do you think about the rally that Glenn Beck plans to have on August 28, the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream speech,” at the Lincoln Memorial?…Are you aware of it?
Malik Zulu Shabazz: I am aware of it, and that Glenn Beck should not be allowed to have this rally. Glenn Beck is a sneaky little devil, and he does sneaky things, and tries to portray that he’s really not the neo-racist that he really is. And for him to go and to secure the Lincoln Memorial on Dr. King’s birthday will meet not only opposition from civil rights leaders, but it’s going to meet direct opposition from the New Black Panther Party.
Since the Tea Party loves Glenn Beck and will be there, the New Black Panther Party can easily find the Tea Party, right with Glenn Beck. He can bring his Tea Party, and we’ll bring our party, and we’ll see Glenn Beck. Since he wants to go on Fox News, but he doesn’t want to invite us on Fox News, he’s had me on before, I guess he’s got the orders from the top, at Fox, not to have me on…
Tommy Christopher: Beck had you on before, but not anymore?
Malik Zulu Shabazz: Beck has had me on before, I’ve been on Sean Hannity about 20 times, he’s under orders not to have me on, Bill O’Reilly’s under orders not to have me on. This is all a conspiracy. Iwould say a Zionist conspiracy, but you would say “He’s too conspiratorial.”
But it’s some kind of conspiracy going on, to keep the truth out, and to keep us off the airwaves, to keep talking about us, but not talk to us. So we’ll see Glenn Beck live in person. I don’t think his rally should be allowed to happen.
Tommy Christopher: Once again, any members that show up, you would advise them to act within the law…
Malik Zulu Shabazz: I’m going to be there. I want to see him myself. Sneaky little devil.
I’d say that the confrontation will be interesting … and almost entirely one-sided. Beck will probably draw hundreds of thousands of Tea Party supporters to the Mall for his speech, regardless of whether he calls it a Tea Party or not, while Shabazz might draw dozens of his followers. The NBPP chair may wind up outperforming Beck in terms of percentage of overall followers, but that will be the only way Shabazz will outperform Beck.
Shabazz’ contention that Beck shouldn’t be allowed to speak at the Mall on any day certainly gives a revealing look into the oppressive Utopia envisioned by the NBPP, but it’s hard to take seriously someone who has appeared 20 times on Hannity’s TV show that Fox News has a “conspiracy” to keep him off the air — and to hint that it’s a Zionist conspiracy is even more hilarious. To the extent they’re aware of Shabazz at all, it’s probably just to recognize that he’s too ridiculous to put on the air.
Update: In another clip, Tommy asks Shabazz about the remarks from King Shamir in Philadelphia about killing “cracker babies”. Shabazz seems less concerned with the idea of killing babies than with the fact that the NBPP activist was on the street yelling about it.

If he wants to encounter the Tea Party, tell him to wait two weeks and come back on 9/12.
I am already extremely disgusted with Beck for scheduling this even just two weeks before the 9/12 event. There will be some number of people that can only go to one event and his detracts from 9/12.
Everyone that truly knows the attendance last year was shocked at the size…. even those of us that were there. The HIGHEST number Fox reported was 70,000. Why is that? Any common fool that is capable of counting knows there were many, many times that. I think the size frightened more that just the left. I also think is scared the hell out of traditional republicans (big government types).
I think Fox is a fair network and gives conservatives a voice. However, I don’t think Murdoch could be identified as a small government, small spending person. He may have some conservative views but I really don’t know of anyone with “billion dollar” wealth that is a true small government conservative.
We will have more people this year but I’m sure the coverage will not reflect anything near the truth… even from the revered Fox.

WTF is he talking about. “free his people”. Is he talking about convicted criminals in jail? Because last I checked everyone is pretty free in America with the exception of criminal aliens who are even free-er, because of the special pass they get and all the free welfare benefits.

Just smile and wave at them, tell them that God loves them, introduce yourself and shake their hand, offer them a cold drink (it’s gonna be HOT). Kill them with kindness – it will throw them off guard. Or, just ignore them – they are doing this for attention; if you don’t pay any attention to them, they won’t get their “fix”….

That is the best policy and for the most part an honest appraisal of what most Tea Party folks feel about ALL people.

I really do think these NBPPs are proxies for Maobama.
The fact that his regime won’t prosecute them for voter intimidation on the day he was elected tells you everything you need to know.
Maobama would love to shut down the Tea Parties and getting a race thing/riot going is about the best way to do it.
Why Beck is having his own rally, instead of just being at the one on 9/12 (which he originally started) is beyond me.
Isn’t Sarah Palin scheduled to be there with him?
Jenfidel on July 9, 2010 at 1:53 AM
So much for post racial. This administration is going to set race relations back 30 years or more.
DFCtomm on July 9, 2010 at 2:30 AM
They’ll do one of two things:
1. They’ll just not show up.
OR
2. They’ll show up, shout a bunch of sub-moronic crap, get shouted down and the cops will escort them out within fifteen minutes. The head moron and his closest
stoogeslieutenants will linger across the street for about an hour or so, shouting at a group of people no longer interested in them and then eventually leave.Unless they think they’re above the law now, with Holder’s DOJ covering them.
I hope this isn’t the case, because when people start to think laws don’t apply to them- and that pile of dog!@#$ Holder has given them ample reason to think so- they often times do some very rash and incredibly stupid things…
SuperCool on July 9, 2010 at 2:52 AM
This is the problem.
If you were Shubazz and the NBPP, wouldn’t you think that Holder was giving you a free pass to do whatever you wanted?
The voter intimidation stuff on election day was pretty scary and they got off scott free.
Not good.

Lourdes on July 9, 2010 at 4:40 AM
Too late, already done by this Administration.
With the help of Black Panthers, Muslims and other Black Racialists. The entire “black liberation theology (so-called)” set of beliefs is just another rendition of Islam to corral and agitate Blacks in the U.S. to oppose the U.S. as “a White nation” or “godless” or such.
It’s, in a nutshell (and they ARE nuts), simply racism by Blacks and Islam is happy to pick up their tab in fomenting their aberrant assumptions about other human beings.

NOTE THE THEME emerging by the Left (Hispanic ethnic supremacists, amnesty-promoters, open borders people, racist and ethnic supremacy groups such as Black Panthers, La Raza, Black Liberation, Democrats, Code Pinkos, etc.)…
NOTE their recent meme emerging that the U.S. implementing and enforcing immigration laws (“to secure our borders”) is the equivalent (so the meme goes) of “South Africa” or the tale of what occured there.
They are trying to create an equivalency in the colloquial of “White” equals “racist” equals “prejudiced” equals “anti immigrant” equals “disposable America”.
From the history of South Africa, what these people are omitting is that many White property owners (people engaged in private property ownership and use) were butchered by machetes and guns openly and often in South Africa by mobs of Blacks. And still are when Whites are viewed as owning private property in South Africa.
So what’s taken place in South Africa is hardly anything to adulate or imitate or laud. What has occurred there has been butchery, tribalism run into insanity and the implementation of Communism by means of barbaric ruin of human lives (not that that is the new method what with what occurred in Russia by same political demands).
The whole “they’re racists” denigration of White property owners in South Africa that took places is a lie. SOME people are and will always BE racist in reality, but that someone who is White, born native and owns and uses his own property is somehow “racist” and merits them (and family) being butchered with machetes and guns is beyond tolerable.
A lot of that land that was being used productively to support South Africans that was owned by White individuals has now become fallow and the Black population doesn’t use it for productive reasons yet many among that population continue to live in shacks and poverty.
Stories recently told of how the Blacks who murdered the White land owners thought the land was being productive of it’s own will and that all the food and such was growing there by some sort of magic, and, without the Whites living there, they don’t understand why the land’s gone back to ruin.
You know, there IS something to be said as to people who understand productivity (especially in agriculture and ranching) and a lot to be said that isn’t said about those who seek their ruin, or have them ruined. Sometimes the less intelligent swings a big machete but doesn’t understand anything more refined than that.

Shabazz is decidedly anti-Semetic. Somehow, that seems under-stating his problems, though.

Heh. The “New” Black Panthers may have been inspired by the Weather Underground. Here’s testimony that they discussed killing white babies (and the one person who questioned this tactic was booed). Isn’t it amazing how their deeds have been whitewashed to the point that these same Charles Manson types are now “distinguished professors of education” and comrades of you know who.

Black Panther Party Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz – schedule to be on Fox News interviewed by Meygan Kelly.
When people – Fox News Producers, put them on air, it gives them an air of legitimacy. So next is Fox News going to have someone on from the Neo Nazis Party or the KKK? Didn’t Geraldo already cover this ground when he used to have a daytime TV show?

It is amazing that we elect the nation’s first black president and the black racists come out of the woodwork like like cockroaches to a picnic spewing their hatred and threats of violence. Racial hatred is wrong from anyone, especially from those who would promote it under the guise of social justice. When the government owns the MSM, the scales of justice are out of balance and can destroy the basic threads of our nation.

….The fact that Shabazz keeps coming out and telling everybody that the Panthers are planning to go after the Tea Party ensures that it will not happen.
….Shabazz knows dam# well that this will increase security to prevent any confrontation.
…This is basically the same as the guy at the bar who runs his mouth….then looks around and starts yelling for people to “hold me back!!!!…Hold me back before I hurt somebody!!!”.
…the only way to energize the liberal base is through demonozation and hate….we are seeing the same game played in the obviously loser of a lawsuit against Arizona.

8/28 is not about politics. It is about honor. That’s why Beck is inviting people to bring their families and leave their banners and posters at home. Yes, people will try to politicize it, but they will be the minority. Those who try to instigate violence will be met by the event’s security (largest financial outlay of the event, per Beck, is for security) and dealt with.
This Shabbyass idiot (pile of sh*t in eyeglasses) is probably trying to suppress turnout by causing people to stay away out of fear for their children’s safety, if not their own. I think he’s both wrong and stupid.

Racism….the left keeps using this word. I do not think it means what they think it means.
In all seriousness, it seems to be this catch-all insult and accusation that the left waves around wildly like a drunk with a sword anytime someone comes along who sees them for what they really are.
Actual racists are easy to spot. They are the people who view everything through the prism of race. They are the people who think everything is about race. They are the people who constantly try to insert race into issues where it is not a factor. They are the people who attack anyone who actually treats a person like a person instead of dealing with them as a member of a racial or ethnic group.
Sound like anyone you know?
