Video: New Black Panther Party to meet Tea Party
posted at 6:02 pm on July 8, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
What could go wrong? Well, plenty, which prompted Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher to ask New Black Panther Party Chairman Malik Zulu Shabazz whether he would instruct his followers to “act within the law.” Shabazz declines to answer, instead repeating that Glenn Beck, who is headlining an event from the Lincoln Memorial on August 28th (which Beck says is not a Tea Party event), is a “sneaky little devil” who shouldn’t be allowed to speak in public. Tommy offers this clip from his upcoming exclusive interview with Shabazz:
Tommy Christopher: What do you think about the rally that Glenn Beck plans to have on August 28, the anniversary of Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream speech,” at the Lincoln Memorial?…Are you aware of it?
Malik Zulu Shabazz: I am aware of it, and that Glenn Beck should not be allowed to have this rally. Glenn Beck is a sneaky little devil, and he does sneaky things, and tries to portray that he’s really not the neo-racist that he really is. And for him to go and to secure the Lincoln Memorial on Dr. King’s birthday will meet not only opposition from civil rights leaders, but it’s going to meet direct opposition from the New Black Panther Party.
Since the Tea Party loves Glenn Beck and will be there, the New Black Panther Party can easily find the Tea Party, right with Glenn Beck. He can bring his Tea Party, and we’ll bring our party, and we’ll see Glenn Beck. Since he wants to go on Fox News, but he doesn’t want to invite us on Fox News, he’s had me on before, I guess he’s got the orders from the top, at Fox, not to have me on…
Tommy Christopher: Beck had you on before, but not anymore?
Malik Zulu Shabazz: Beck has had me on before, I’ve been on Sean Hannity about 20 times, he’s under orders not to have me on, Bill O’Reilly’s under orders not to have me on. This is all a conspiracy. Iwould say a Zionist conspiracy, but you would say “He’s too conspiratorial.”
But it’s some kind of conspiracy going on, to keep the truth out, and to keep us off the airwaves, to keep talking about us, but not talk to us. So we’ll see Glenn Beck live in person. I don’t think his rally should be allowed to happen.
Tommy Christopher: Once again, any members that show up, you would advise them to act within the law…
Malik Zulu Shabazz: I’m going to be there. I want to see him myself. Sneaky little devil.
I’d say that the confrontation will be interesting … and almost entirely one-sided. Beck will probably draw hundreds of thousands of Tea Party supporters to the Mall for his speech, regardless of whether he calls it a Tea Party or not, while Shabazz might draw dozens of his followers. The NBPP chair may wind up outperforming Beck in terms of percentage of overall followers, but that will be the only way Shabazz will outperform Beck.
Shabazz’ contention that Beck shouldn’t be allowed to speak at the Mall on any day certainly gives a revealing look into the oppressive Utopia envisioned by the NBPP, but it’s hard to take seriously someone who has appeared 20 times on Hannity’s TV show that Fox News has a “conspiracy” to keep him off the air — and to hint that it’s a Zionist conspiracy is even more hilarious. To the extent they’re aware of Shabazz at all, it’s probably just to recognize that he’s too ridiculous to put on the air.
Update: In another clip, Tommy asks Shabazz about the remarks from King Shamir in Philadelphia about killing “cracker babies”. Shabazz seems less concerned with the idea of killing babies than with the fact that the NBPP activist was on the street yelling about it.

Shabazz has a tendancy to make remarkably hatefull racist comments. The last time I saw him, he made such a fool of himself there was simply no reason to even have a discussion. News channels have no more interest in having Shabazz on than they do David Duke. Everyone already knows everthing they have to say, and none of it adds to any discussion.

Seven Percent Solution on July 8, 2010 at 6:15 PM
All this will result in is more false media reports of blacks being spit on and yelled at by Tea Partiers. They will pile on by saying it was all orchestrated by Beck on the anniversary of King’s speech and at the same location. The media is already salivating over this opportunity.

By the way, what is a “birfday?”
Star20 on July 8, 2010 at 6:16 PM
Maybe this will get the MFM to actually cover the event, unlike a typical Tea Party. I’m sure they’ll find ways to paint Shabazz and the NBPP as “victims”, and Beck as the hate-mongering violent racist.
And since it may be difficult for the Zulus to blend in with the crowd in their black battle fatigues, I’m guessing a call will be put out to white SEIU members to infiltrate and sabotage the event. Bring your cameras people, and document the events and any troublemakers!
ornery_independent on July 8, 2010 at 6:20 PM
Some of it may just be the fact that his middle name is Zulu, and that creates suspicion.

I wonder, will the NBPP be showing up with billy clubs? Now I highly reccommend not going tit for tat with these morons as would feed into the “dangerous-radical-rightwing-mlitia meme, I think it would be greatly entertaining TO WITNESS the amount of “FIRE-POWER” the TEA-Party could probabaly muster. There are after-all appx 240,000,000 fire arms in American civillian hands, overwhelmingly cin onservative hands.
It’d be enough to make the NBPP and White House crap their pants.

I sure hope Beck calmly explains, with footage, to the crowd and the MFM, that Shabazz is a good old fashioned RACIST.
To his face.
Maybe replay some clips from Beck’s show on the “hidden history” of Black Americans in our Revolution, and why the left (and the MFM, but I repeat myself) is the side trying to hide it.
There won’t be much of a confrontation with numbers running 1000-to-1.
And while the MFM will try to contrast MLK and the TEA party, that false narrative is just going to get harder and harder for them.

Shabazz and his goons are just tools used by Obama and the MSN to force an incident where they can twist the situation is such a way as to discredit the Tea party as hatemongering racists with mindless intentions. When you have the MSM AND the Justice Department supporting any attack they make on the Tea Party, this will be the first broadside by the leftwing nutjobs to use the race card for election purposes. I knew Obama would use the race card as it has never been used before, because that is all he has. I misunderstood the potential danger he would encourage to actually bring it to this. Let there be no doubt Obama is anti-American to the core.

I read somewhere earlier that Marcus Luttrell and Col. Allen West will be at Beck’s event. I can’t imagine those two guys taking any crap from these fools.
I’ll go out on a limb and predict that the new black panther’s will incite violence and that the media will blame it on Beck and the “tea-baggers” to discredit them right before the election. It would be too good to be true for the media. It feeds into their violent, racist radical theme.

NBP is bigot social club and their brand of racial-hatred is as ugly as anything professed in American public life.
They’re certifiable pussies though. Bullies too, that’s the worst combination of douchery. That’s what these guys are.
I can guarantee you that I have NEVER stood in fear around these fools. In fact, I have spoken out against NBP and other militaristic-anarchistic-black-nationalists at their own meetings.
Trying to park on campus at UCLA is intimidating. These fools are not intimidating.
Yeah but how did it taste?

Slow down Satinpants. You sound just like clowns on the block who “want to be down.” Hiding behind a crowd is easy and natural for wannabes. Stay hidden, please.

“Be nice, until it is time not to be nice….. ”
I think there will be no attempt at armed r3v01u710n, unless a few horrible things happen.
1. confiscation of guns by forcible house to house entry and search…
2. Clearly stolen or fraudulent elections, or canceled ones, backed up by corrupt judges…..
3. Confiscation of money and property as in Zimbabwe…
4. Forcible suppression of first amendment freedoms.
This has the potential to be of the last category, as do all demonstrations I guess, to one degree or another. This one perhaps more than most.
Stay together, watch each other’s backs, know the law, and obey it. Fight only in clear self defense, and then let the chips fall where they may….

Mirimichi on July 8, 2010 at 6:27 PM
Well, for one thing, the SDS/Weather Underground whose former members collaborated with the original BP’s often cited “race war” as a means to bring down capitalism in the US. For instance B. Ayers & B. Dorhn adopted and raised Kathy Boudin’s child after she was sent to prison for a joint Weather Underground/Black Panthers bank robbery/murder in Catskills NY in the early 80′s. It has been long documented that the SDS/WU was soviet finsaced and supported.
Ethnic strife and instigation is a hallmark communist tactic going back to Obama’s mentor Frank Marshall Davis in Hawaii who was deeply involved with black liberation theology as well as running the communist chapter in Hawaii through Int’l Longshoremans Workers Union. Also, it was ethnic/tribal strife that was employed by Stasi trained and educated Railia Odinga who was imprisoned for leading a communist coup de etat in Kenya in 1983, a man who Obama actively campaigned for during his vist to Kenya in 2006. Curiously enough Odinga was campaigning with the slogan of “Change” in his effort to win there. However after ethnic/tribal violence broke out between the two camps a power sharing arrangement was arrived at and shakily holds to this day. It is also interesting to note as we have watched Obama bow to muslim leaders and fail to confront Islamist Iran that Odinga who Obama actively championed was running on a platform to intorduce Sharia Law in predominantly Christian Kenya.
To answer your question as to why these parties are seemingly eager to foment racial strife, ethnic/tribal & union/ peasant uprising have provided the surest to power throughout history.

There is literally only one way to deal with hate like that. I believe the NBP would like to have a race war. I just want a war with NBP. I am white and if one of their members confront me at my polling place that stick will only get a response alluded to in the movie Eliot Ness. I believe it was what Sean Connery said to Kevin Costner. I don’t advocate violence but no skinny piece of shit with a night stick should be foolish enough to think they can block my voting. Martial Law CAN NOT be declared in the United States by Obama for political reasons. It would take an honest natural disaster or political upheaval of massive proportion to make martial law an option. Here’s what he’s up against …
1. The U.S. is, geographically, a massive nation with a couple of geographically isolated spots like Hawaii and Alaska. There’s no rationale for declaring martial law accross all the land unless a huge asteroid were about to hit.
2. Federalism – his biggest issue. The state Governors have a “check” on abuse of Federal power. If they don’t agree with the order – they won’t follow it – nor allow it to be enforced within their borders. Only the national guard really could enforce martial law and it’s doubtful each state has enough to do so. And in any case, were Obama to “nationalize” the guard for this purpose – Governors like Haley Barbour would overturn him – and Missippi Guardsmen would obey Haley – not Obama. No debate about that one.

Must have been in the man’s own neighborhood. They were met by a crowd that ran them out shouting “USA” so loud they couldn’t talk to the TV cameras. Maybe “Zulu” might want to take a look at that tape and change his mind about showing up at Beck’s rally. Sorry, I don’t know how to do the link thing.

Beck will outsmart this bunch. The BPP has no idea what they are getting in to.
Bring it on.

Beck showed footage today of this idiot trashing FOX and down-playing the voter intimidation case on English language Russian television.
