Bad news: Princess Leia hates racist “teabaggers”

posted at 8:30 pm on June 14, 2010 by Allahpundit

Not a surprise, but I’m not going to lie to you. This one hurts.

What’s happened to the world where Leia is on the side of the Empire, my friends?

Is there anyone you haven’t met that you’ve always wanted to?
Obama.

I’m surprised you haven’t met him.
I know. I love him. Hopefully I’ll meet him sometime. I’m just happy he exists.

Do you think Tea Party is just people who are pissed that there is an African American president?
Yup, and the fact that they chose to call themselves “teabaggers,” which is slang for a certain act involving b***s. It sort of says a lot. I would say a mouthful. Looks like it’s very upsetting for them, but he’s brilliant. The thing is, he’s half white but that’s still not enough — for them it’s all white or f**k off. I think we don’t deserve him and certainly teabaggers don’t deserve him.

Mind you, Carrie Fisher is known for being something of a wit and raconteur, yet when it comes to tea partiers, her schtick is warmed-over Garofalo with a side order of balls-in-the-mouth humor that MSNBC was pushing eight months ago. In fact, at this point, I think that’s my biggest objection to it. If you’re going to smear millions of people in one fell swoop, at least be entertaining about it. Toss in a “Dick Armey” pun, which has only been done half a million times compared to the million “teabagger” jokes. Dazzle me.

Between this, George Lucas calling Obama his hero, and Harrison Ford getting on The One for not passing ObamaCare quickly enough, is there anyone left in the Star Wars universe to feel warmly about? Threepio, maybe? He’s got sort of a Brooks/Frum centrist conservative vibe going on.

I have news for her. Obama is not “brilliant”. He is far from it. It has nothing to do with his race.

Great. Is there going to be boycott now? I just need to know what this means for my slave Leia costume. ;)

I know I can’t be the only guy who clicked on your name to find out what you look like. For curiosity’s sake, of course. I’m very happily married.

But as far as I’m concerned, you are Princess Leia. Not that washed-up nutjob.

We should care what a brain dead drug addict thinks?

Hey what about Major Bren Derlin, played by the possible 2012 Connecticut Republican U.S. Senate candidate?

jon1979 on June 14, 2010 at 9:49 PM

Oh yeah, I forgot about Cliff Clavin. He was in the beginning of Empire. He’s a conservative and a frequent Tea Party attendee.

If you count the prequels(I’d prefer not to), Christopher Lee reportedly supports the Conservative Party in Britain.

Doughboy on June 14, 2010 at 10:21 PM

AP,

Well, those are some pathetic comments on her part…

Even more pathetic, I’m still in love with Princess Leia. Met her briefly at an autograph signing and she was clearly on strong medication of some sort.

John on June 14, 2010 at 10:21 PM

Misinformed, vacuously opinionated, idol-worshipping schmuckette.

The usual Hollywood airhead.

profitsbeard on June 14, 2010 at 10:22 PM

What’s happened to the world where Leia is on the side of the Empire, my friends?

She is…on the side of the “Emperor”. She doesn’t realize how nakid he is, especially in the brain.

I’m surprised you haven’t met him.
I know. I love him. Hopefully I’ll meet him sometime. I’m just happy he exists.

She needs to read this, though, because she’s also aflicted, won’t get it.

That may be, but he certainly does resemble Colin Powell , (who we now know is not).

cableguy615 on June 14, 2010 at 10:26 PM

Watched the first Star Wars, once. It was corny and juvenile, just the way kids under 10 like it. Definitely the worst movie Harrison Ford was in.

As for Carrie Fisher, her only claim to fame was this 1977 campy kiddie flick. By 1982 her talents relegated her to doing appearances on Laverne and Shirley, and 1997 she couldn’t even get credited for her appearance in Austin Power, IMOM. Her big comeback was, what, 5 minutes in The Blues Brothers?

Talk to the hand, Carrie.

Dusty on June 14, 2010 at 10:27 PM

She needs to drop more acid.

Bruno Strozek on June 14, 2010 at 10:38 PM

Potfry on June 14, 2010 at 10:35 PM

Exactly. You’d think someone who obviously thinks highly of her own opinion would at least be well informed. But since Fisher loves Obama, we know she isn’t informed at all.

Just another head-up-her-rear Hollywood elitist.

NebCon on June 14, 2010 at 10:43 PM

Just clicked the link to view the pictures and was shocked at Fisher’s appearance. She has either done some serious drugs in her day or has some serious thyroid problems. “Skank” doesn’t do her justice.

WarEagle01 on June 14, 2010 at 10:46 PM

She’s a whore and an actress maybe, but she is definitely not Leia.

I just wish he’d decide whether to call himself Anthony Daniels or Theodore Dalrymple. Pick one, dude.

Jobius on June 14, 2010 at 11:02 PM

I really hate to admit this, but in a way she is correct. I don’t have a link, and I don’t want to get flamed for this, but the first time I remember anybody using the term “teabagger” it was Fox News producer Griff Jenkins. I really don’t think he knew what he was saying, but I remember him saying it while holding up a tea bag and encouraging people to “tea bag the Whitehouse”. I cringed when he said it, and I thought, “oh crap, this is going to stick”.

The rest of Ms. Fisher’s diatribe is complete horsecrap. Just another lefty idiot blathering about the supposed “brilliance” of the Teleprompter Reader in Chief.

PburgJason on June 14, 2010 at 11:06 PM

Wasted money seeing her ranting show in DC a couple of years ago…whined about being a poor little Hollywood rich girl…whined about Star Wars fame…and proudly bragged about having an affair…with…Chris Dodd!

DCJeff on June 14, 2010 at 11:11 PM

That’s okay, I hate Hollywood. I can prove it by my lack of movie ticket stubs.

TN Mom on June 14, 2010 at 11:30 PM

This is so upsetting.

Um, Mark Hamill? Care to weigh in or will you allow me to believe my fantasy that you’re an okay dude? I mean, he was and is the best Joker ever (notwithstanding the talented Mr. Ledger), so that’s got to count for something.

Harrison Ford, though…. I knew there was no hope for him when he became romantically involved with a creepy skeleton like Calista Flockhart. EEEEEEEEW.

Join the Rebel Alliance, Princess Leia! The Force is with us!

Oh, and if Obama is “so brilliant”, why hasn’t he demanded the democrats pass a budget this year? Why is he asking congress for $50 BILLION MORE MONEY for jobs when there is still money from the FIRST Stimulus, which of course failed to (as promised by Obama) keep unemployment at EIGHT percent?

TN Mom on June 14, 2010 at 11:43 PM

but the first time I remember anybody using the term “teabagger” it was Fox News producer Griff Jenkins.

PburgJason on June 14, 2010 at 11:06 PM

If that’s the case, then it’s still not the members choosing the name, but someone reporting on them.

I only saw the original SW, and that was a theater in 1977. I have no fond memories of this hag.

TugboatPhil on June 14, 2010 at 11:47 PM

…the fact that they chose to call themselves “teabaggers”

…a nit worth picking (which has probably already been picked to death already, but I haven’t read all the posts, so here goes): “teabagger” was a term hung on the movement by the opposition….

…mind you, this is an old political tradition, being named something uncomplimentary by the opposition…”tories” are actually border reivers (bandits) on the Scottish/English border…and “whigs” or “whiggamor” are variously described either as cattle drovers or “narrow Scottish presbyterians”, as one of my sources has it…the Dems even got their donkey because someone said that Andy Jackson — THE Democrat for a hundred years, until FDR slouched into view — resembled a jackass (“jack-son”/”jack-ass”, I can see it)…he liked the comparison….

…Michigan-ites (-aners? -ians?) were called “wolverines” originally as a term of derision, as the actually critter is nasty, smelly and unpleasant…they’re also fierce, which I suppose appeals to folks from Michigan….

…anyway, being compared to the passive partner in a sex-act, swishing a scrotum in ones pie hole, is beyond the pale.

Isn’t it interesting that those who most support homosexuality — activist homosexuals and those who enable them — can think of no fouler insult than to compare the “enemy” to themselves?

…anyway, I can’t see why anyone would care what a woman with a rather extensive history of drug abuse and other questionable personal judgment issues would think. “Star Wars”? How very ’70′s…we’ve moved on from leisure suits and pet rocks, even if Mr. Lucas hasn’t…he only resurface long enough to make a mint by running his own series into the toilet….

…Obama “brilliant”? On Tantooine, maybe….

Puritan1648 on June 14, 2010 at 11:56 PM

I have to admit, of all the complete and utter dumb bullsh*t that’s been spewed by complete and utter dumb Hollywood bullsh*tters over the past year, this just about takes the cake.

What is this deep affinity that actors have with Obama? Is it that they both make their living by reading from a script?

…anyway, being compared to the passive partner..

Puritan1648 on June 14, 2010 at 11:56 PM

Actually they labeled us as the active partner. The teabaggee would be passive, like Tingles or AC.

TugboatPhil on June 15, 2010 at 12:57 AM

You do realize that going to college to get an acting degree is not the same as going to college to get an education.

Logboy on June 15, 2010 at 1:29 AM

Two points.

One, most actors are neither well educated or well informed. They are basically trained monkeys who can read lines, possibly remember them, and do a funny dance every now and then.

Second, Star War was the most over rated drivel ever put on film. I was finally forced to watch that mess a few years back. I have never been so underwhelmed in my life. Even the first Star Trek movie, which was just a rehash of an old TV episode sucked less. At least they got better.

Pour Carrie another scotch and let her go.

I know Carrie and I like her. Her political views have always been well known as far as I know. She takes some vicious swipes at Republicans in her current one woman show. But what does anyone expect? She has lived her entire life in the liberal Hollywood bubble and is the first to admit that she is not exactly a stable person. There have been studies indicating that most people who identify themselves as having mental problems are liberal and Carrie is hardly the sole poster child for demonstrating the veracity of that study in Hollywood.

Don’t forget that the guy who died of an overdose at her house a few years ago was a Republican fundraiser.

Oink on June 15, 2010 at 12:37 PM

rollthedice on June 15, 2010 at 12:46 PM

No, she’s not correct. Because you heard one person say it doesn’t mean that everyone else calls or every called themselves that vulgar name. You deserve to be flamed.

Blake on June 15, 2010 at 11:42 AM

Ok, first, I said “technically”. Fox News was the first channel to talk about the movement when it was in its infancy. Some could argue that they were behind it, or they were pushing it in the beginning. Griff Jenkins encouraged people to “tea bag the Whitehouse”, and I don’t know about you, but I don’t remember anyone else using that term before then. Hell, I don’t remember any of the other networks even talking about the Tea Party before that. So, what I’m saying makes sense, I mean, how could the vulgar term be used by another network when they weren’t even talking about the movement yet?

For the record, I absolutely agree with what the Tea Party and Conservatives stand for. I am in no way trying to disparage the movement or Fox News. I am simply stating something that I believe to be true. If someone else has information to contradict what I said, I would truly love to see it. I don’t want to believe that the Tea Party inadvertently hung that slur around its neck by proxy.

PburgJason on June 15, 2010 at 12:48 PM

Count to 10 on June 15, 2010 at 10:33 AM

According to the soon to be released book “The making of the Empire Strikes Back” as well as her own autobiographies, she spent the entire shoot on either LSD or opiates or both. She was so messed up that she couldn’t even remember her lines most of the time. She had a major problem with mind altering drugs and it would be a miracle if her brain is not permanently fried. I’m not surprised she is a hateful liberal.

But who cares what Hollywood thinks. The original Star Wars movies were excellent and Princess Leia was a hottie.

Spectreman on June 15, 2010 at 12:49 PM

Back to real life actors.

Harrison Ford is the bigger disappointment. Not surprised, but that don’t jive with most of the characters he’s done.

A good thing that he’s an ‘actor’.

Sir Napsalot on June 15, 2010 at 12:51 PM

Chewwy & R2 were the only conservatives in the entire original Star Wars series. Not liking what the “adults” had to say, Lucas preferred to muzzle their sides of the arguments, not unlike in the Peanuts serials whenever the teacher had a point to make.

Think about it. R2 was always bang-on, yet NEVER was he given the chance to voice his opinions beyond a few squeaks, blurps, or beeps.

That’s today’s conservative voice, in a nutshell.

Or, if you prefer, futuristic, metalic-composite, android casing.
