John the Libertarian: I am sooooooooooo sick and tired,
(sorry for the Hillary pun)about

Condescending Gibson did to former
Governor Sarah Palin,
and besides, the DNC are taking over
Organizing For America,so theres go
ing to be,in your face confrontations
for years to come!!:)
you see, there is this mentality among the teaching community here in NJ, NYC, and the L.I. areas…
it’s about what they can GET
what they can GET from the system, not what they put in.
I’ve spoken to way too many young teachers, over heard older teachers, and seen way too many propaganda campaigns to think that teachers around here are anything less than a bunch of subversive leeches that are looking to suck every last drop of honey from the state pot.
The only teachers I trust are catholic school teachers. The ones I had worked their azzes off for virtually nothing.
I cast my first vote in 1972. In all the years since, I have never heard an elected official talk like this. He is so right, and so blunt, and so cognizant of the threat. “This is the fight we have to win.”

I truly hope and pray that Christie is just the beginning of common sense conservatives that tell it like it is. And that the Republican Party finally shifts back to being a clear alternative from the Democrats.
Finally, real leadership!
Christie,
West,
Palin,
Haley,
Brewer,
Issa
These are the the type of leaders our country desperately needs. One thing they all have in common; they stand their ground and keep on fighting.
The unions will go after Christie and Brewer with everything they got, but these two Governor’s will come out victorious.
If West and Haley and Kasich win, we will have turned a corner for the good. But its a big if.
I’m finding more and more voters are braindead and blissfully clueless.
I’ve spoken to way too many young teachers, over heard older teachers, and seen way too many propaganda campaigns to think that teachers around here are anything less than a bunch of subversive leeches that are looking to suck every last drop of honey from the state pot.
blatantblue on June 3, 2010 at 11:57 PM
It’s the union’s affect on them. Get rid of tenure, make them compete for vouchers, and you will see sea change in their attitudes. They’re good people, but they’ve been running around with the wrong crowd, if you know what I mean.
I truly hope and pray that Christie is just the beginning of common sense conservatives that tell it like it is. And that the Republican Party finally shifts back to being a clear alternative from the Democrats.
John the Libertarian on June 4, 2010 at 12:04 AM
I agree…But how are we going to explain the Ron Paul people? :)
Christie does not come off as a career politician, and that’s refreshing in many ways.
Contrast and compare Obama, who’s been present, and continues to be present, exemplifies the career politician. Yet, Obama is a youngster by political norms and rocketed to political stardom, let alone the presidency.
Now, take a looks at the rise of conservative stars. The difference in constituents is remarkable. Now look at the incumbent political conservative, do they enjoy the same popularity that Brewer, Palin, and Christie have?
Go further, and compare the 2012 hopefuls, Romney, Ginrich, Pawlenty, Paul, who else? What’s the message?
Christie, has struck a nerve with New Jersey voters, and indeed, many conservatives around the country who’s property taxes are used to pay for union salaries, and we are not getting anything in return but higher taxes, year after year.
There’s fairness, and then there is the bully in the school yard, as Christie point out. Labor Unions are the bullies, and it’s time to level the playground.
Blowback

you see, there is this mentality among the teaching community here in NJ, NYC, and the L.I. areas…
it’s about what they can GET
what they can GET from the system, not what they put in.

Not trying to be a smart a$$ but did you miss Ronald Reagan?

Now, the mentalities of teaching communities in different parts of the country may be quite different. I cannot speak for them.
However, I don’t trust, and rarely like teachers I meet around here. Bunch of self congratulatory, whiny, pathetic mongrels.

I sent Gov. Christie an email to encourage him, to let him know that people around the country know what he’s doing, appreciate his efforts and pray for him and his family.
Here’s the link if you wish to do the same:

I’m finding more and more voters are braindead and blissfully clueless.
lonestar1 on June 4, 2010 at 12:06 AM
It’s the union’s affect on them. Get rid of tenure, make them compete for vouchers, and you will see sea change in their attitudes. They’re good people, but they’ve been running around with the wrong crowd, if you know what I mean.
John the Libertarian on June 4, 2010 at 12:07 AM
I agree…But how are we going to explain the Ron Paul people? :)
Dire Straits on June 4, 2010 at 12:07 AM

Oh good grief, and they say he’s a libertarian, too. How embarrassing. :(
