Open Thread: Obama presser

After 309 days, Barack Obama will finally venture out to face the national media in an open press conference today at 12:45 ET. The topic will be the Gulf oil spill, and the reporters will certainly have plenty to ask about the federal government’s response to it. That doesn’t mean that they will stick to just that one topic, however. This is why the White House has shielded Obama from these events — as well as the disastrous fallout from his off-the-cuff response to the arrest of his friend Henry “Skip” Gates at the last press conference.
In honor of the singular nature these days of a Presidential presser (and not even in prime time!), I’ll open up a thread. Let’s try to guess who will have “acted stupidly” this time around, shall we? No fair picking BP, either.
