Second grader to Michelle Obama: My mom doesn’t have her papers

Not the first time that a seven-year-old’s put her on the spot politically. Remember this exchange from Campaign ’08?
I’m posting this partly as a palate cleanser and partly because I know it’ll kick off a round of conspiracy theories about the kid being some sort of plant, which is always fun. Not that I’d put it past Democrats to milk some sympathy for amnesty by using an adorable moppet as a human shield, but “Barack Obama is taking everybody away that doesn’t have papers” doesn’t sound like a DNC-scripted line to me. Although I do relish the thought of Robert Gibbs just out of frame, waving his arms to get the kid’s attention and whispering, “‘Why do Republicans hate my mommy?’ Remember?”

Hey, these days this kid is lucky Michelle didn’t have her hauled off for not carrying her own birth certificate in her Hello Kitty backpack & available for inspection on demand by the authorities. It seems FLOTUS’ husband Barry has become a born-again Arizonan & is now demanding that Michigan high schoolers – even the hispanic ones! – show their papers to him without just cause! But sheesh, even Arizona requires a better reason that this:

Art Linkletter mentions the possibility of things like this happening on his show…after parents finish rejoicing that their kid is going on TV, they start sweating that their misdeeds might just be repeated in front of the nation. (and some really were!)

I was born here and I am required to carry ID or risk arrest. The times I have required to show ID were either a matter of business or the police got me for something other than my Irish attitude. No ID? No soap! Arguments?

The kid must have been told the truth, since she is so ready for the media .
All the illegal’s kid needed to be told was
” honey, you are an anchor baby, you were created by your mama for your SS# and birth-certificate, just like your other brothers and sisters. Your SS# will keep your mama in USA and your brothers and sisters will never have to worry about a working , my husband will give you free college education too.US citizenship is over-rated. Your mama is better without citizenship. Now Ms Guadalupe Morales-Cruz Hernandez will translate into Spanish for rest of you”
