Audio: Glenn Beck interviews America’s next president

posted at 5:37 pm on May 18, 2010 by Allahpundit

Via the Right Scoop, to cleanse the palate as we prepare for primary returns, seven minutes with the man responsible for the greatest political ad ever. Here’s what I’m thinking: When, not if, this guy runs for president, it should be in a cycle when Christie isn’t running. Whether that means Peterson goes in 2012 and Christie waits or vice versa, I don’t know. But I don’t think America could handle a primary battle between them. Just … too much red meat. That stuff can kill you, you know.

BLUE MEAT; IT’S WHAT’S FOR DINNER!

Cybergeezer on May 18, 2010 at 5:40 PM

So much Awesomeness in one day… :)

WhoU4 on May 18, 2010 at 5:44 PM

C’mon. You know this guy’s political career is going to be derailed by some scandal involving a waitress at the local diner. Even if the Dems have to make it up.

hawksruleva on May 18, 2010 at 5:46 PM

This guy earned my vote when he cracked out a rifle to discuss holding corrupt politicians accountable.

I think a waitress would not derail him. A male sheep is another issue altogether.

chaswv on May 18, 2010 at 5:47 PM

This was a great interview! Love the “Big Guy” nickname he gave Beck. Ha!

cubachi on May 18, 2010 at 5:48 PM

Yup,I heard this early this morning!

Now if they can just keep their d!x in their pants we may have a chance.

Cybergeezer on May 18, 2010 at 5:52 PM

I predict we will not be seeing many “beta male” posts in the headlines for a while. The real thing catches on after a while — no, AP?

Can’t any of these web sites post this stuff in anything not Flash?

Watching his campaign video gave me a tingle up my leg when he swung his arm around to the top of the fence and revealed that gorgeous Winchester Lever Action Rifle!

Patting myself on the back for recognizing the Winchester.
He also said he served during not in Viet-Nam.

ROFL!!! Don’t ask me why, but I got the image of Ralphie and his Red Ryder BB gun with a compass in the stock, and this thing that tells time. LOL

A law abiding man, and his gun. Gotta love it!

He had me at “spatial”. So whoever said it was a Winchester, grab your coupon for a free meal at Outback. :D

not only did he crack it out, he had his finger on the trigger. Symbolic and clear message.

ted c on May 18, 2010 at 6:03 PM

That rifle sure looked a lot like the Winchester lever action 32 special my old man passed on to me. Can’t get much more American than that.

fourdeucer on May 16, 2010 at 3:09 PM

I was wrong about the caliber.

As a matter of fact, this chick is gonna fire up the grill and toss there my two T-Bone steaks, so there, Big Guy! (not Beck, Peterson!)

PappyD61 on May 18, 2010 at 6:17 PM

I always want to stand up and clap when I hear that ad! I wish I could vote for him!

IowaWoman on May 18, 2010 at 6:17 PM

I used to own a Winchester Model 94 30-30, so I recognized it immediately. For those who don’t know, it came out in 1894 and in those days, cartridges were designated by the caliber of the bullet and the grains of black powder. So the Trapdoor Springfield rifle was a 45-70 and most handguns were 44-40. Anyway, the threat implied by displaying the rifle will surely get this guy either in trouble with the law or a membership in the local militia.

I like the man from Alabama, but I really don’t want to listen to Beck. He does not like Republicans, he is always talking about a third party, he said there is no difference between Cheney and Reid and on and on…and then when a real man comes along who just happens to be a Republican, there Beck is doing his best to jump on that bandwagon.

Terrye on May 18, 2010 at 6:27 PM

Uh, Christie and Peterson gotta wait their turn. 2012 belongs to Mama Grizzly.

I generally like Beck but there’s enough yuck factors that I wonder what his wife is like. Does she balance him out or is she the female version?

On second thought, never mind. I do not want to know.

Terrye on May 18, 2010 at 6:27 PM

Here we go again…there is no difference except for speed between the progressives in the Democrat Party and the progressives in the Republican Party….one is taking us by bullet train, and the other by slow boat. Does that mean he is saying Cheney = Reid? No. He is not a big believer of people blindly vote for people because they happen to be of a certain party…and he hasn’t said this third party is where we should all pledge our allegiance to.

Have you ever said the RINOS need to go? Well then you agree with Beck…that both parties need to clean their house and get rid of the cancer of progressivism.

Just something about LEVER ACTION that did, and always will,

We could use a good ranch hand out here in Kansas. In fact we have a few male cows that need to be milked.

On topic: This guy is awesome.

vinceautmorire on May 18, 2010 at 7:04 PM

Allah-do all of us ranchers a favor, don’t perpetuate a myth that ‘red’ meat is bad for you.
Your link is to processed meats.
Red meat is very good for everyone.
‘Course when you feed a critter a bunch of corn in a feed lot & get it fatted up, eating a lot of that stuff can be bad for you.
Grass fed beef is lean.
This is a real peeve of mine bcs we depend upon people eating meat for a living.
Stop eating processed meats & eat some grass fed beef!

Badger40 on May 18, 2010 at 7:12 PM

This guy is like every man in my Alabama family. You know, the ones people call ignorant rednecks. Rock on, Dale.

Beck is ok in small doses for me. His radio show is much better than his television program.

BakerAllie on May 18, 2010 at 7:51 PM

This man is what a man should be like, not that ‘smoken’ thing this bho over cooked noodle body is. I loved this video and think his family should be proud of this real American man! I hope he wins.

Ho-K: Ya know, anyone that will give a good ole-fashioned pizzed-off American that sounds somewhat reasonable, talks about standing up for his country, talks nicey-nice to right leaning patriots an opportunity to speak out is totally ok in my book!

IOW: Beck gets a high 5 from me for giving this dude a platform. Ditto HotAir.

Time to quit being candy-yesses. Stand up and fight for principle!

Chewy the Lab on May 18, 2010 at 9:40 PM

Glenn Beck is a schmuck – Dale Peterson was nothing but polite and courteous and all Beck could do is laugh at him throughout the interview. First he bites Levin’s material and now this – I’m pretty sick of this guy to be honest.
