Brutal: Arizona governor’s ad hammers Obama on immigration

posted at 9:18 pm on May 7, 2010 by Allahpundit

Via JWF, in case you’re under any illusions that this issue isn’t a winner in Arizona — the national media’s hysteria notwithstanding — look no further than this. It reminds me of The One’s vow to have Democrats run on ObamaCare in the fall, the only difference being that Brewer’s approval rating bounced 16 points in two weeks after the immigration law passed and Obama’s approval bounced … ahem.

This makes two jokes now from the White House Correspondents Dinner that have come back to haunt him. Think he’ll be more self-deprecating next year or is he psychologically incapable of that?

Utterly incapable.

Remember that horrid day in Nov. 2008 when we had our worst nightmare confirmed and this president was preening for the thousands in Grant Park? Saying this is the day…this is the hour…blah blah blah.

Now is the time and the day and the hour when there are millions and millions of good honest Americans, pointing and saying, as a child would say, look! the emperor has no clothes. He’s walking around in broad daylight with nothing on!!!

Rasmussen’s approval rate is being reset to reality, folks. How low will it go? I’m encouraged by actions of the states’s leadership. And one state in particular, that is mad as hell and not taking it any more.

Barry has a huge problem. He didn’t wait until our federalist system had been completely annihilated. The worst thing of all is that by leading with HCR to the exclusion of every other cotton-pickin’ thing, he aroused the ire of the electorate. Bad mistake, Barry. That and the age-old truth that sooner or later your lies catch up with you.

I had to watch that again, it was soooo short, sweet, succinct and tells it like it is. Mr. President is a danger, I shudder to think what his amnesty bill is going to look like.

OUCH!!

All this good that is coming into view will be wasted if we send McCain back to stink up Washington.

We’re working on that here, too.

ask any liberal you know who is against this bill if they support affirmative action….. if he …she …..or it says yes ….explain to them that affirmative action is racist and profiles based on race

Don’t you find it sad, that his supposedly funny line was laughed at and he believed that it was funny? Just stop and think of how many times a day in the normal course of daily life you have to show some sort of identification.

Great ad. Obama got his a$$ kicked by a girl. Wish we had some men in the party with stones that big.

Please Madam Governor, may I have some more.

Slowburn on May 8, 2010 at 10:16 PM

Soetoro is disgusting.

He is purposely dividing this country on every issue.

Ricohoc on May 7, 2010 at 9:28 PM

Divide and conquer. Divide by race, sex, religion, class and promise everyone the world with the money of others and you have a typical liberal.

Yakko77 on May 9, 2010 at 12:16 PM

Uppercut to the glass jaw. Damn!

SouthernGent on May 9, 2010 at 1:29 PM

WOW. And WOW again.

Who does this ad remind me of, someone who gets batted around regularly even here?

No, no clues.

Let’s just say, some lady governors and ex-governors might be the worst nightmare of the Man Currently Playing the Role of President (except they tend to show up during the day as well).

The POTUS is mentally ill. Upcoming months will provide further proof.

Maybe he’ll be hiding in a hole next year.

Kissmygrits on May 9, 2010 at 8:26 PM

Where is the media on this? I can’t believe all of our “free press” is in lockstep with this administration against Arizona. Does anyone in the press look at an ad like this and have to re-evaluate their position?

Ironically, when I hear about the woes of the news organizations all I can say is “They have it coming.” It’s sort of like Greece going bankrupt, they kept spending money they didn’t have so they end up where they are. Now we have to elect people that won’t do the same thing here.

Conservative women rock! They kick butt.

I HHHHAAAATTTTEEEE THAT IDIOT…HE IS SUCH A TRAVESTY OF A PRESIDENT…

Ltlgeneral64 on May 9, 2010 at 10:33 PM

He is NOT my president.

miron on May 10, 2010 at 2:05 AM

They need to run this ad in DC on AZ.

Dasher on May 10, 2010 at 7:51 AM

Hey all you good people of Arizona, can we bus you up here to Connecticut to help straighten out our anti-American political class?

Don L on May 10, 2010 at 8:45 AM

Too bad republicans weren’t willing to make ads like this about GW Bush on immigration.

funky chicken on May 10, 2010 at 9:46 AM

At least Andy Kaufmann could beat up the girls…not so President Toonces.

:-)

MNHawk on May 10, 2010 at 10:28 AM

Governor Brewer, you had my vote after you signed SB1070. However, 2010 isn’t a slam dunk…we still gotta get out and vote in mass quantities…remember, the dems don’t respect voting laws like we do….

scott_lauritzen on May 10, 2010 at 3:18 PM
