Video: Whose protests are more violent?

posted at 6:50 pm on April 27, 2010 by Allahpundit

Via Hengler, come for the side-by-side video comparison, stay for the lefty ranting about Fox News bias and Emanuel Cleaver being deliberately spit on, even though Cleaver himself long ago began inching away from that allegation. Note, too, how the Narrative has subtly changed: Previously the storyline was that those darned tea-party wingnuts could erupt in violence at any moment and now it’s shifted to “sure, both sides are mostly peaceful, but…” More narrative-killing immigration protests, please!

Huh. I didn’t see any black people at the Arizona protest. How racist!

The absolute and abject stupidity that passes for journalism and opinion on the left is utterly fantastic. Its like something out of a bad Woody Allen or Leslie Nielson movie.

Don’t worry; Sharpton’s coming.

Bagdhad Bob strikes again. “It’s peaceful, it’s mostly peaceful.” Sheesh!

The tool is denying reality when it being shown right in front of his face. I am so repulsed by liberals and much of the general public today falling victim of a postmodern mentality. The world is gone to crap unlike any other time in history because of it.

Sickening.

More to the point, this is empirical evidence of the liberal mindset. This is a world view where the simple idea is what is important, not actual outcomes or results. Therefore, peaceful citizens respectfully yet vociferously expressing their anger at government expansion & intrusion is seen as the greater threat and reported thusly. After all, despite the obvious violence and hatred of these pro criminal-invasion (these are not immigrants – my grandparents from Italy who went through Ellis Island were imigrants) proponents – their idea that no one should be discriminated against is valid and thus excuses all abberent behavior. To wit:

War on Terror = BAD, even though we haven’t been attacked since 9/11. War is by nature, after all, a terrible thing.

War on Poverty = GOOD even though poverty level has remained relatively unchanged. Helping the poor is admirable, results be damned, even if we’ve spent much more in this “war” than the one listed above.

The same pattern can be seen repeating in just about every issue, including this one. Oh yeah, and if that doesn’t work, play the race card!

That protest in Arizona was SOOOO peaceful. Let’s ask the cop who was hit in the head how PEACEFUL it was!

Steve Z on April 28, 2010 at 9:45 AM

I love how the lefty mouthpiece, realizing that he and his comrades in violence had nothing to justify their illegal behavior and nothing to explain their hypocrisy at condemning peaceful tea party protests as “potentially violent” while ignoring the actually violent leftwing riots in which leftwing protesters assaulted police officers, he starts yelling about Fox news and a shaky camera.

Anything to avoid confronting the truth, right, Obots?

How do people as stupid as this Levine clown get to where they are? Nothing he uttered was in any way true. Those heroic congressmen? Well, seems like they don’t want to talk it about it any more. Talking about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin would make more sense. Non-events simply can’t support dialogue. This riot in Arizona was hardly a non-event – do you have eyes? Facts are troublesome things.

LarryG on April 28, 2010 at 12:27 PM

I love it. That’s the way to handle these guys. Throw their stupid defense of violence back in their faces and simply chuckle and walk away. Arguing isn’t worth your energy. These hypocrites will never see themselves in the mirror they’re to busy pulling the wool over their own eyes.

Sultry Beauty on April 28, 2010 at 4:58 PM

I think the thing that irritated me the most was his repeating over and over about a Congressman being yelled at as they go to vote against the majority WILL OF THE PEOPLE being likened to rioting, throwing rocks at police officers, who are upholding the WILL OF THE PEOPLE. I could NEVER be a Leftist. I don’t know how you shove your brain into the box. It’s like trying to understand the rantings of a schizophrenic’s thought process.
