Bisexuals deemed “not gay enough” to play in Gay Softball World Series
posted at 9:20 pm on April 21, 2010 by Allahpundit
And with that headline, my work as a blogger is officially done. There are no more mountains to climb, my friends. We’ve reached the summit.
In related news, the Gay Softball World Series actually exists.
Three bisexual men are suing a national gay-athletic organization, saying they were discriminated against during the Gay Softball World Series held in the Seattle area two years ago.
The three Bay Area men say the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance in essence deemed them not gay enough to participate in the series…
Whether the alliance is public or private will likely have to be determined in court, since the plaintiffs characterize the alliance as a “public accommodation” that’s open to the public and uses public softball fields…
Each of the three plaintiffs was called into a conference room in front of more than 25 people, and was asked “personal and intrusive questions” about his sexual attractions and desires, purportedly to determine if the player was heterosexual or gay, the lawsuit alleges.
Actual quote from the lawsuit: “This is the Gay World Series, not the Bisexual World Series.” (The Bisexual World Series is any one that the Yankees play in. Zing!) Teams are allowed two straight players each, which is interesting in itself — is there such a demand among hetero men to join the Gay Softball League that numbers have to be capped? — but I’m especially intrigued by the star-chamber treatment for the three secret bi’s who were ultimately deemed, ahem, “nongay.” Didn’t they know about the two-player limit? When the commissioner of the Gay Softball League asks if you prefer oysters or snails, the answer is snails.
I suppose we could delve into an exploration of public accommodations law here, but on a slow news night, how about a viral video instead? Exit question: If “Dirty Dancing” qualifies as gay, would this qualify as bi?

I was so hoping there was going to be a flaming war with you two, if you catch my drift.
And do the straight guys get their own separate men’s room? (don’t know what the bi guys do and don’t want to know)

I enjoyed the humor here. Good stuff.
I love it when liberal policies are used against other liberal groups.
Awesome.

Sorry but the headline should read
Gay Softball World Series Plays Hardball and Bans Switch-Hitters.

Gays are just in their own little world aren’t they? I’d like to take a baseball bat and ram…well, nevermind, they’d probably enjoy it.
johnnyU on April 22, 2010 at 4:33 AM
How the hell do they play baseball with only pitchers and catchers?

Back in the late 80′s I was all for the Gay Rights movement. But then I went to a Gay Pride Parade and what I saw there pretty much soured me on it. I’m no prude, but it was pretty freaking shocking. I didn’t turn anti-gay, but I just decided it wasn’t a subject I was going to waste any time on. To each his own, but I’m outta here.
There are four subjects that did turn me against the Gay Rights movement over the ensuing years. I hate dishonest arguments and the gay agenda is full of dishonest arguments.
AIDS: Gay advocates used a public health issue with privacy concerns, and through intimidation, threats, and hateful rhetoric, suceeded in morphing the AIDS problem into a privacy issue with health concerns. That caused a lot of unnecessary suffering, especially among the gay population but also the general public.
Civil Rights: I’m not black, but I am a woman and to equate being gay with being black or other minority is ridiculous. Being gay is a self defined, self identifying label. It’s based on behaviour and sexual behaviour at that.
Bisexuality: This one is hysterically funny. Gay Rights advocates hate bisexuals because they screw up their arguments about sexual orientation being a choice. Gay Rights advocates used to refer to it as sexual “preference” before they realized that was too obvious a “choice” so they came up with the term sexual “orientation”. It’s laughable. It’s also humorus to watch the Gay Rights crowd go beserk at any depiction of bisexuality in the media. Oh, it’s perfectly wonderful when a long time character on a sitcom discovers they’re gay, but don’t ever show a gay person dabbling with the other side.
Abortion: The granddaddy of gay rights hypocrisy. Ever wonder why you never hear about “the gay gene” anymore? You young folks may not even remember back in the beginning of the Gay Rights movement when that’s pretty much all they talked about. “We’re born that way”. “We didn’t choose”. Uh huh. OK. Then there must be a “gay gene”, right? Let’s find it. Oh, but wait. We can’t be anti-abortion. Nope. How are we gonna say it’s OK to abort based on genetic medical problems and conditions but NOT because of the gay gene? Hmmm. Houston, we have a problem. We gotta allow abortion for any reason, so let’s just forget about the whole “we’re born that way” argument. Move along now.
Liberals are full of dishonest arguments, but none are as dishonest and dumb as gay rights.

There is no “pride” in a gay pride parade. Nor any self respect, nor any respect for anyone else either.
rollthedice on April 22, 2010 at 6:49 AM
I wouldn’t trust my dog or horse around a bisexual person.
To me they are just too confused to know what the hell they are.
Mr Purple on April 22, 2010 at 6:51 AM
That’s another thing. Gays hate it when you call it a “Gay Pride Parade”. No, it’s a Pride parade and has nothing to do with being gay at all. Even some gay people are so mortified by what goes on at those parades that they don’t want to be associated with them.

I thought only gay males play 12″ softball anyway. 12 is what girls play.
16″ with no mitt or nothing.
If any good 16″ softball player from Chicago would hit one of those kittenballs, they’d have to measure distance in golfball terms.
Oh and the kenyan in the white house would be a 12″ player…a girly man.

Bigoted gays? Whodathunkit!
I guess all the down low bruthas will have to stick to the NFL and NBA.
In this day and age! Tsk tsk.

I went to the Pittsburgh Gay Pride with the gay Jewish congregation. A seventy year old lesbian was angry when the S&M group decided to start whipping in front of our little booth. She told them to go do their stuff away from the religious groups. They compiled. I was surprised they did.

When can we start having events that are for non-gay people only?
maryo on April 22, 2010 at 9:40 AM
Actually:
Yesthere is a high demand among heteros to join any kind of gay sports event.
There are lots of gay sports leagues around the country….and many heteros love them (too much).
Straight females love to show their “solidarity” with their
pets, handbags“their gays” (They consider them their property. Just ask Kathy Griffin or watch “Will & Grace”) So they will join the Gay Games and play badminton or something.Straight men love to participate in order to gain the favor of straight females. (So many women love the sensitive tolerant types).
We have a gay football league in Chicago. One team was just straight men, and they refused to socialize with the gays. They kept asking “How can you tell who’s gay?” and “Why discriminate?”. Our gay wrestling club in Chicago is now heterosexual, and very anti-gay.
When it comes to social groups marketed to gays, I reallly don’t like straight people participating. I like my beer cold and my gay bars gay.

To the best of my understanding, the difference between a gay man and a bisexual man is that the gay has a psychological/emotional scar that the bi doesn’t.

Every Boy Scout leader in the nation should immediately apply to join this gay-only softball league. Call a press conference about it and sue up to the Supreme court. Goose, meet gander sauce.

Yeah, is there a Questionaire and a duly sworn signature place? and do they bring you up on charges before committee if they catch you hetero-ing around?
johnnyU on April 22, 2010 at 11:14 AM
Your OUT! for batting for the wrong team.
LGT sometimes B. (At least during softball season.)

Heck, I’ve always thought that bi-sexuals were the ultimate evidence against the whole “its genetic” argument.
If they can “choose” who they want to pork, then their behavior isn’t being controlled by their genes is it?
P.S. Where do “bi’s” come out on the whole “breeder” thing? Are they damnable breeders, or saintly gays?
Fatal on April 22, 2010 at 1:43 PM
When will we have a gay ladies golf league? The GLPGA? Never mind, I answered my own question.

Waiting for The Race Card to chime in about the bigotry of the gays against the bisexuals.
