Obamateurism of the Day

posted at 8:05 am on April 16, 2010 by Ed Morrissey

Maybe it’s just because I went to a Tax Day Tea Party yesterday (of which more later), but this particular response from Barack Obama seems to have more than his normal quotient of arrogance and ignorance (via Dan Riehl and Allahpundit):

President Barack Obama said Thursday he’s amused by the anti-tax tea party protests that have been taking place around Tax Day.
Obama told a fundraiser in Miami that he’s cut taxes, contrary to the claims of protesters.

“You would think they’d be saying thank you,” he said.

Where did he say this? At a $30,400-per-plate fundraiser at the home of Gloria Estefan … far away from the crowd that supposedly needed to kiss the Presidential ring for his escalating taxes on the middle class in ObamaCare and in the earlier cigarette taxes he approved as part of the expansion of S-CHIP, among others. Meanwhile, he’s continuing to spend more than a trillion dollars a year than the government receives, which makes big tax hikes across the board the only other option to massive spending cuts — and Obama’s not proposing the latter. For that kind of arrogant nonsensical assertion, there’s really only one response, which is to thank Obama properly:

Got an Obamateurism of the Day? If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me at [email protected] with the quote and the link to the Obamateurism. I’ll post the best Obamateurisms on a daily basis, depending on how many I receive. Include a link to your blog, and I’ll give some link love as well. And unlike Slate, I promise to end the feature when Barack Obama leaves office.

Careful! With the size of Øbama’s head, an island’s likely to tip over!

Maybe he’d fit right in on Easter Island.

But Geraldo just, within two minutes ago on Fox & Friends, said that Obama’s jab is correct. Geraldo stated that people ARE, in fact, paying less taxes this year.

This is absolutely true! And YES! We should thank Obama, along with Nancy and Harry Reid.

Give credit where credit is due.

We should shout from the highest mountain! Thank you Obama, 8.2 MILLION Americans who lost their job because of you “ARE, in fact, paying less taxes this year.”

The unemployed pay much less income tax due to the lack of income!

Thank you Obama, you da man! Man!

“Obama realizes that these people are going to vote Republican and his comments lose him nothing”.

Wow! Guess were all Republicans now!

” … Why do folks think this guy is smart?”

I have been asking this exact same question for a while now.

Another way I’ve asked the question with a different manner of phrasing is, “Why do people claim that Obama is Brilliant?,” or “Why do people claim that Obama is intelligent?,” and “Why do people claim that Obama is a great orator or a great speaker?”

All I’ve noticed is how foolish, immature, arrogant, condescending, mean spirited, crude, rude, snarky, dishonest, insincere, uninformed, inexperienced, unwise, vindictive, and venemous he is. I’ve also noticed how flat his speech tethnique is, how boring it is, how choppy his phrasing is, how monotonous his tone of voice is, and how without passion and intent his speaches are. I’ve also noticed how crappy his speaking skills are, for he studders, he uses numerous fillers with “ah,” and “um” and others so frequently that I want to blow my head off from such torture. I cannot stand to listen to people whose speaking skills are so bad that they fill their time and sentences with so many fillers …. aaaaaaahhhhhhh !!!!

Obama is a Socialist, leftist community organizer, which is another way of saying a rabble rouser, who has virtually no skills but the ability to mislead people into thinking he is something he is not, a leader.
