Obama grassroots group now selling t-shirts goofing on Biden’s F-bomb

posted at 6:00 pm on March 31, 2010 by Allahpundit

I think it’s cute, but you know as well as I do that Media Matters et al. would need smelling salts if the GOP sold something similarly crass! and inappropriate! and opportunistic! So if you want to get your fake outrage on in the comments in the spirit of “one good turn deserves another,” I won’t stop you.

Still, pretty cute.

There are things that are a big deal — birthdays, anniversaries, the NCAA Championship game. And then there are things that are a BFD, like delivering health insurance to 32 million Americans…

Please donate today to help. If you give $25 or more now, we’ll send you a limited edition “Health Reform is a BFD” T-shirt in a super-soft, fine jersey (men’s) or baby rib (women’s) cotton fabric.

I’ve got a better idea. Since this is something that’ll clearly appeal more to young Democrats, why not make the shirt a complimentary gift after they pay their first new higher insurance premium? No one’s going to understand just how big a f***ing deal this boondoggle as well as they are. And when they complain that the shirt’s not really “free,” tell them sure it is. Just like their health care.

Here’s The One thanking his robotic supporters for stupidly helping to sell a bill that’s going to knock them out of power in November.

Stay classy, Obama cultists.

MadisonConservative on March 31, 2010 at 6:00 PM

Do they sell this alongside the “F-Captalism” flag?

catmman on March 31, 2010 at 6:03 PM

Did they get one that fits Michelle Obama ? Might have a different meaning on her.

William Amos on March 31, 2010 at 6:03 PM

The ones wearing this T-shirt are the ones on their parents insurance until they turn 26 years old…

Can’t wait to see their “KMA”, “STFU” and “GFY” shirts.

OxyCon on March 31, 2010 at 6:06 PM

Biden’s enduring legacy … “STAND UP! … Oh wait, what al I talkin’ about?”

Tony737 on March 31, 2010 at 6:06 PM

OxyCon, I got the first two, but what does GFY mean?

Tony737 on March 31, 2010 at 6:07 PM

Is it really reform if you have to keep advertising and giving speeches on how it’s reform?

rogerb on March 31, 2010 at 6:08 PM

Wasn’t that site also selling “Sarah Palin is a C***” (without the asterisks, of course) during the campaign?

malclave on March 31, 2010 at 6:09 PM

And then there are things that are a BFD, like delivering health insurance to 32 million Americans

You mean health “insurance” at the expense of the rest of the nation, especially the younger and older generations.

ninjapirate on March 31, 2010 at 6:04 PM

I talked to a single mom yesterday who works for the local school district as a full time aide. She says it will cost her
$400 per month to have her adult daughter added to the school district policy. This amounts to about 1/2 her take home pay.
It would basically make her homeless. She is really PO’d.

chemman on March 31, 2010 at 6:12 PM

These shirts are exactly right. Health reform is a BFD…A Big F—ing Disaster

djm1992 on March 31, 2010 at 6:13 PM

OxyCon, I got the first two, but what does GFY mean?

Tony737 on March 31, 2010 at 6:07 PM

The first and third words are “Go” and “Yourself”.

The determination of the second word, beginning with an “F”, is left as an exercise for the reader.

malclave on March 31, 2010 at 6:13 PM

Here’s hoping November will be a BFD, too. I smell a counter-campaign!

“Go F Yourself”

catmman on March 31, 2010 at 6:13 PM

Lol Tony. Keep working on it. G = Go

OxyCon on March 31, 2010 at 6:14 PM

And, after he loses his majority on November 2, 2010 and the presidency in 2012, we need to have t-shirts printed that simply say:

WE SAVED OUR NATION! THAT’S A BFD!

HornetSting on March 31, 2010 at 6:14 PM

OxyCon, I got the first two, but what does GFY mean?

Shame on me for knowing what it means, but what it do mean is:
Go F Yourself.

Here’s The One thanking his robotic supporters for stupidly helping to sell a bill that’s going to knock them out of power in November.

Yeah, a few things on this.
1) We’ll definitely lose seats, but I don’t think we’ll lose the House, or the Senate.
2) Even if we hadn’t passed the HCR bill, we would have lost seats anyway. The majority party nearly always loses seats in the midterm election after a presidential victory. Given our historic super-majorities, it’d be nearly impossible not to lose seats.
3) Even HCR caused us to lose the House and Senate, I’d be totally fine with that. I’ll gladly trade one measly election for the health care reform that we’ve been attempting to pass for nearly a half-century.

Oh, and the shirts are cute.

Hopey/Changey BFD Syndrome!!

canopfor on March 31, 2010 at 6:21 PM

And then there are things that are a BFD, like delivering health insurance to 32 million Americans…

Why do Republicans allow this myth to continue? Subtract those who didn’t want insurance and sign up those eligible for Medicaid, and you’re left with (for the most part) those who are uninsurable. Those who are uninsurable could have been dealt with in a far more effective manner than O-care.

BuckeyeSam on March 31, 2010 at 6:21 PM

You kidding? There were HUNDREDS of BFD products within hours on Zazzle (and Cafe Press too, I’m sure).

The weevils of capitalism move exceeding fast.

$25 for a T-shirt?

They’d better save their money. They’re going to need it. AEI estimates that once most Americans have been dumped into the insurance exchanges by their employers, the average family is going to be spending 1/4 of their take-home pay on health insurance premiums.

Welcome to Comrade Barry’s “fair” new world, suckers.

delivering health insurance to 32 million Americans

I guess “delivering” means “forcing people to buy”

forest on March 31, 2010 at 6:38 PM

I’ve yet to hear an explanation as to how the intend to compel the homeless schizophrenics and drug addicts I see downtown every day to sign up for health care, but I digress…

It’s not fair to Obama to limit the BFD tag to just the Obamacare debacle. The Square Deal and The New Deal were both whopping bags of proto/quasi-fascist, corporatist and welfare-state crap. Similarly, the BFD should include it all: Porkulus, the GM/Chrysler/UAW bailouts, and Obamacare all go into the bag so far. If we’re lucky, that’s all they’ll get passed; If not, we can roll in Cap and Tax and the VAT, too! As with the “progressives” before him, Obama’s BFD is indeed very, very big.

Blacklake on March 31, 2010 at 6:44 PM

Jorge Soros just called: it’s not “grassroots”, it’s AstroTurf bought out lock, stock and barrel.

Joe Biden was 2/3 right. It’s not “a big f***ing deal.”

It’s actually just “a big f***ing.”

(I can’t claim credit for this. A caller said it last week on Rush Limbaugh’s show. Worth repeating and definitely a good tshirt retort.)

I see NO humor in this t-shirt nor in what Biden said. None. Obama and Biden are disgracing our country with their shameful behavior. Neither know how to act with dignity or maturity. They’re having a good laugh while our country is going bankrupt.
