It’s come to this: New “Miss Me Yet?” billboard features … Jimmy Carter
posted at 6:17 pm on March 24, 2010 by Allahpundit
Via Story Balloon, it can’t be real. Or can it?
Yeah, the billboard is real. And you laughed when you saw it. You know exactly why you laughed. Lord knows we need a good laugh after the theft of our liberty today.
If you happen to be one of those that ‘don’t get it’, well, nothing can be written to explain it to you.
Obviously this billboard was put into motion quite some time ago. It is just coincidence that this morning President Barack Obama signed into law his healthcare ‘reform’ when we received word our billboard went up. It almost seems poetic.
Supposedly it’s located in Ennis, Texas. When I saw the photo, I thought, “In spite of everything … no.” But the more I mull it over, the stronger the case for Jimmeh seems. Granted, he’s even worse on Israel than The One is, and I’m highly skeptical that we’d be seeing the glorious drumbeat of drone strikes in the tribal areas if the Brzezinski crowd was back running the show. But when push comes to shove, as bad as Carter was, he did no real irreversible damage. The One crossed that line yesterday. Is it worse to have a guy at the top who’s so hapless that he stumbles his way into economic disaster or a guy who’s so ideologically driven that he steers right into it because, come hell or high water, he’s got an agenda and he’s sticking to it? You know, I do miss the ol’ peanut a little. A little.
Exit question: Wouldn’t Carter already be working on pulling out of Afghanistan, though? Think it over as you watch another “Miss Me Yet?” ex-president wipe his hand on Bill Clinton’s shirt.

Robert doesn’t have to leave America. He lives in NYC, so he’s already left.
angryed on March 24, 2010 at 7:43 PM
One word: jingoism.
AUINSC on March 24, 2010 at 7:44 PM
Why, yes darlin’ he was her bm from yesterday.
OmahaConservative on March 24, 2010 at 7:44 PM
Let me check…nope, I wasn’t, I was referring to you.
AUINSC on March 24, 2010 at 7:45 PM
Why make them covert? Why not just send out death squads? And if we’re going to do that, why don’t we send the best trained, best equipped, and best led killers the planet has ever known?
Wait…that’s what we’re doing.
BobMbx on March 24, 2010 at 7:45 PM
I like that one. Ok if I use it?
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 7:45 PM
Al Quaeda and the Taliban pretty much ran Afghanistan jointly, so why didn’t you join up when 9/11 happened, since you could argue that it was a sovereign nation which attacked us. Al Quaeda was simply the “terrorist wing” of the Afghan government.
venividivici on March 24, 2010 at 7:47 PM
The operative word was ‘covert’
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 7:47 PM
Oh dear…I hadn’t read this yet before I posted
Good Lord what a tool. Punka$$ed Dork Boy Toilet Bug extraordinaire…
BigWyo on March 24, 2010 at 7:47 PM
Could you just imagine the faces of the Dems if this health bill were repealed.
royzer on March 24, 2010 at 7:48 PM
Yeah, how’s that working out? It’s been more than 8 years and OBL is still out there.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 7:49 PM
That was really memorable, bob. – And how is your typing doing??? Hmmm?
Oopsdaisy on March 24, 2010 at 7:50 PM
Hold on…if I recall correctly, that’s not quite how the criminal justice system works, is it? I mean, we don’t send out ‘death squads’ to deal with burglars or car thieves or even murderers. Isn’t there like a trial or something? I mean, you’ve just said (as has the Obama administration) that these are just criminals, didn’t you?
Second, what is the difference between sending ‘covert’ death squads and sending ‘overt’ military units?…same result, no?
AUINSC on March 24, 2010 at 7:51 PM
That would then be a military operation then. Special forces. Then it isn’t in the realm of a criminal act anymore if it is under military jurisdiction. You can’t have it both ways.
JAM on March 24, 2010 at 7:53 PM
It’s been more than 8 years and OBL is still out there.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 7:49 PM
Prove it! I’m bettin’ he’s been room temperature for quite a few years.
Upnorthlurkin on March 24, 2010 at 7:54 PM
No
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 7:55 PM
Oh dear Lord no! I remember how upset my family was about him and the long lines at the gas stations when I was a kid. My Uncle with Alzheimer’s couldn’t stand to listen to him. Now when I see him and he doesn’t know who I am, I say something about Carter having liver pills as that was his favorite comparison to all the estrogen the poor man had to deal with having all these crazy women living with him after he married my aunt. That he remembers. Can’t remember my name but can remeber how much he couldn’t stand Carter, which says a lot!
margategop517 on March 24, 2010 at 7:55 PM
King George to John Adams (miniseries): “I pray, Mr. Adams, that the United States does not suffer unduly from its want of a monarchy.”
heh.
Firefly_76 on March 24, 2010 at 7:55 PM
And Robert ‘Where do I sign up’ won’t have to be a part of either.
BigWyo on March 24, 2010 at 7:55 PM
I’m afraid you don’t qualify.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 7:57 PM
Well, you seem to be getting stingy with your words now. What’s the difference then?
AUINSC on March 24, 2010 at 7:59 PM
So your sending in the Guardian Angels ?
William Amos on March 24, 2010 at 8:00 PM
You must think I believe that once OBL is gone, unicorns will run wild over the planet. How long did it take the Mossad to find Eichmann?
Happily, though, in those 8 years…lots of bad guys reached room temperature. Most of them well before they were able to hurt us here.
BobMbx on March 24, 2010 at 8:02 PM
Qualify for what??? The Robert NYC Dork Boy Sovereign Nation Attack Covert Hit Squad??
Damn!! And I already paid my deposit.
BigWyo on March 24, 2010 at 8:03 PM
The difference is our guys on covert ops might be prosecuted, like that SEAL up on charges for giving a Taliban a fat lip. If the news of a mission got out, you know there would be calls from the Left for prosecution. Remember all the stink about CIA ops during the 70s, the ones that got agents killed and the Agency all bus dismantled?
Liam on March 24, 2010 at 8:04 PM
No that is the job of Privateers, one of the few things I agree with Ron Paul on.
Congress should sanction US citizens willing to risk their lives to go and get anything and anyone supporting al Qaeda and the Taliban. Any vessel caught transporting goods destined for al Qaeda or the Taliban is forefeit… if it can be brought in. That is perfectly allowable under the US Constitution and these are not mercenaries: they are only paid from what damages they can inflict on the enemy.
That is how you deal with non-Nation State enemies that do damage to the Nation.
You send out the Repoman because, really, a US Marine has to fight fair… the Repoman only has to get your stuff and its hell on your life to find your stuff missing. A Marine can only kill you. A Repoman will give you nightmares and wish you were dead.
ajacksonian on March 24, 2010 at 8:06 PM
To name a few, intelligence gathering, foreign cooperation and infiltration are some advantages of covert vs overt.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 8:08 PM
You lack basic skills. Sorry.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 8:09 PM
Iran?
MeatHeadinCA on March 24, 2010 at 8:09 PM
I mocked up precisely that thing and forwarded it to tips@hotair.com about 2 weeks ago.
Midas on March 24, 2010 at 8:10 PM
That would be one option.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 8:11 PM
Hey, I’m all for getting these Taliban and terrorist bastages…but you don’t see a problem with Congress sanctioning any yahoo with a gun and a plane ticket running around the world, shooting anyone they think matches bin-Laden’s description?
JetBoy on March 24, 2010 at 8:12 PM
Israel used the Guardian Angels?
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 8:13 PM
Is that a trick question?
venividivici on March 24, 2010 at 8:14 PM
What a brain merchant – eh Bill?
Oopsdaisy on March 24, 2010 at 8:19 PM
Try to keep up. You are embarassing yourself.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 8:20 PM
How’s the spelling lessons going bobby? – Are you keeping up?
To quote the thread ass: “I’m sorry to say that the more you type, you really are not helping your cause.”
Oopsdaisy on March 24, 2010 at 8:23 PM
We haven’t been doing that all along then?
AUINSC on March 24, 2010 at 8:25 PM
NOPE.
Carter was just an incipient Obama with less control of Congress.
Who allowed the Iranian invasion of American territory in Terhan to go unpunished and encouraged the terrorists, who overthrew Iran, to begin funding the global jihad with their newly-seized, stupendous oil wealth.
The insane ayatollahs and their political pimps have Jimmah to thank.
Screw this peanut-brained loon.
profitsbeard on March 24, 2010 at 8:26 PM
Ooooh, you got me. Mission accomplished.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 8:27 PM
Not as long as we conduct our current campaign as the whole world watches.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 8:29 PM
The billboard is COMEDY GOLD!
Khun Joe on March 24, 2010 at 8:32 PM
lol!
Alana on March 24, 2010 at 8:32 PM
So as long as we are sneaky about it…then it’s all OK. I’m trying to square this with your criminal justice point earlier. If we go out and kill people accused of burglary, with covert death squads, it’s fine as long are covert?
AUINSC on March 24, 2010 at 8:33 PM
Ooooh, you got me. Mission accomplished.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 8:27 PM
No you “got” yourself – as you do with your inane vernacular.
Oopsdaisy on March 24, 2010 at 8:34 PM
That is why Congress would sanction them… and they are still held accountable to their actions: they screw up and get arrested for killing a non-target, then the risk is taken on by the Privateer. You do have to really know you got the right person before you wax them… taking all their stuff is way easier and a lot more profitable. Plus you can pull in suppliers who knowing supply our enemies with the stuff.
Letters of Marque and Reprisal.
Global Repomen, and if they can get a bozo on the terrorist list at State or DoD, then, hey, extra cash… gotta bring the body back, though. And US ship or Embassy will do, or anyone agreeing to help us on that.
Loads of fun.
Anyone sanctioned takes all the risk, gets punished if they screw up, and only get rewarded for doing the right thing.
ajacksonian on March 24, 2010 at 8:48 PM
Holy crap, I haven’t seen your troll butt in awhile.

How many young people who voted for the O would actually recognize the person in the picture?
year_of_the_dingo on March 24, 2010 at 9:04 PM
Someone should cut an ad with a picture of King George III. The Tea Act and Sugar Act were nothing compared to the indignity we suffer today.
year_of_the_dingo on March 24, 2010 at 9:08 PM
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 6:25 PM
how old are you? do you have an actual clear recall of the Carter years? because if you did, you sure as hell would not be missing him, or even recall him fondly.
Willie on March 24, 2010 at 9:17 PM
Did someone above write “Mission Accomplished”?
I rip up libs who bring that ‘un up!
YEA!!! LOVE THAT BANNER!!
Just took a little more muscle and AMERICAN MIGHT!!!!
We are a winnin’ in IRAQ. And what Senator from the Chi sewers was ready to turn tail and run a few year back? I can’t spell the idiot’s name…not too sure he can either.
I think that the average US voter could more easily excuse the “mission Accomplished” banner than the true cruel humor in the 8% unemployment cap that our Dear Leader (and the Demented Dems) used as a prediction for his generation enslaving pork extravaganza.
LIBS! Oh, libs… run on back to mom’s kitchen, now, jus’ like you do when I invade your threads.
You guys need better trolls around here.
IlikedAUH2O on March 24, 2010 at 9:18 PM
It’s official. Obama is the absolute worst President in history!
He set out to make history and he did.
I hope we can fix this mess.
petunia on March 24, 2010 at 9:21 PM
True!
Even King George wasn’t a communist!
Obama gets worse with everyone we try to compare him with!!!!!!!!!!
I guess that is the definition of worst.
We would have to go all the way back to Cromwell to find worse.
Or John Lackland. Although weak John did sign the Magna Carta so even he was better than Obama!
petunia on March 24, 2010 at 9:24 PM
It is tough to be as bad as this group is in terms of both international and domestic policy.
The best issue this gang has is wacko people threatening them.
I will give them one thing, though. Lefty people are always good with plants.
IlikedAUH2O on March 24, 2010 at 9:28 PM
I would so trade Nixon for Obama! Nixon was in a way different era, Obama’s corruption dwarfs Nixon’s corruption!
And Nixon’s failings were personal, like Clintion’s.
Obama’s failings are ideological! That is far far worse.
Give me a patriot who spys on his enemies over a communist any day!
petunia on March 24, 2010 at 9:31 PM
Carter may be out of the Presidency, but his knack for projecting weakness around the world, depressing America, and alienating Israel is alive and well, thanks to Barack HUSSEIN Obama – mmmm, mmmm, mmmmm.
The only thing I miss about Carter are the impersonations of him by Dan Akroyd, and the mock impersonation attempt by Andy Kauffman, on Saturday Night Live.
OneVision on March 24, 2010 at 9:31 PM
Surely the only person on the planet who would set up that board is either Jimmy or his wife.
jeanie on March 24, 2010 at 9:36 PM
Earlier in this thread – bobby declared himself a “Patriot.”
I opined that if he lived through those awful 4 years – and misses Carter – He most definitely is NOT a Patriot!
Oopsdaisy on March 24, 2010 at 9:37 PM
It would be nice to see someone spray-paint a big “NO” on the billboard in order to answer the question on behalf of millions of us who had to live through the malaise that was the Carter presidency.
OneVision on March 24, 2010 at 9:41 PM
I remember Johnny Carson telling a joke about Billy Beer being sent to a lab and a report came back telling Mr. Carter that they were sorry to report his horse has diabetes. That joke and only being able to buy gas on even or odd days based on the last digit of your license plat are only two of my memories from that horrific administration.
Cindy Munford on March 24, 2010 at 9:47 PM

I was fun reading robertnyc212 getting schooled about spec ops.He probably doesn\’t realize that any type of death squad would utilize military assets and be co-run by spec ops commands. But these operations would only make sense if we actually knew the general location.

But when push comes to shove, as bad as Carter was, he did no real irreversible damage.
Tell that to the guys killed in Carter’s botched rescue of the hostages in Iran.

Uh, because the very same Jimmeh signed an EO prohibiting it, moron.

A sovereign nation is more of a threat as opposed to al qaeda which is basically a gang with no homeland or infrastructure.
robertnyc212 on March 24, 2010 at 7:35 PM
Actually, binky, it’s the exact opposite. AlQuaeda is a greater threat BECAUSE they have no infrastructure to target, or civilian population to threaten enough to get them to back down.
