Poll: What was the Obamateurism of the Week?
posted at 9:00 am on March 21, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
It’s time once again to pick the Obamateurism of the Week, and I’m about 3000% sure which one will win this survey. Still, I don’t want to prevent you from talking amongst yourselves about whether that’s the right choice. I’d just encourage you to get your stories straight first, or at least your math. Pick the one that moves you, or rocks your Hawaiian world, if you will. At least with these, if you fumble your approach, it doesn’t result in an eruption of fighting … just a barrage of insulting comments.
Previous 2010 “winners”:
- Obama off by $868 billion on CBO deficit savings projection of ObamaCare
- Obama challenges GOP on tort reform, winds up proving GOP point on reconciliation
- Obama’s “Acme Insurance” anecdote proves he doesn’t understand insurance
- Obama claims 2 million jobs saved or created, website shows 590K
- Obama gripes about filibusters in a year with none … after having 60 seats in the Senate
- Obama says “corpse-man” for corpsman 3 times at Nat’l Prayer Breakfast
- Scolding the Supreme Court over ruling that he got completely wrong during SOTU
- People are unhappy with Obama’s performance because he didn’t get enough public face time to explain himself
- Suddenly jobs saved or created “never expected to be the public accounting of Obama’s goal to save or create 3.5 million jobs”
- Obama rushes home for minor injury to family friend, keeps golfing after EunuchBomber attack

Got an Obamateurism of the Day? If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me at obamaisms@edmorrissey.com with the quote and the link to the Obamateurism. I’ll post the best Obamateurisms on a daily basis, depending on how many I receive. Include a link to your blog, and I’ll give some link love as well. And unlike Slate, I promise to end the feature when Barack Obama leaves office.

3000% off! Thank you, Joe Isuzu II.

Bingo! Obama said he wouldn’t want his own daughters “burdened” with an unwanted pregnancy and thus being complicit in the murder of his own unborn grandchild, why should anyone believe he would stand firm on an executive order?
Because I live in Ohio and am well aware of the Cleveland Clinic, I voted for the Natoma lie.
GrannyDee on March 21, 2010 at 10:50 AM
There are ALWAYS so many worthy of voting for! 3000% made me laugh when he said it!

This whole bill is about making Health Insurance accessible and affordable. Why couldn’t they at least pick an “anecdotal” lamb that fit?

As I’ve noted before — Joe Isuzu: funny / Barack Obama: not so funny

That was NOT a fumble!

There isn’t a thread on this but does it strike anyone else odd that supposedly there were congressmen SPIT on and these guys didn’t STOP and point these people out or confront them verbally? What they don’t take that seriously enough to just wait and then tell reporters later? Smells like BS to me. So he I am supposed to belive this guy who got his head bashed in on Bloody Sunday just gets called a N***** and spit on doesn’t even react in a way that is unmistakeable as to something happening? My bet we find out what happened AFTER the vote when the “news” has already done its damage.

3000% baby!
I was reading this morning about Defazio and his supposed huge win to increase Medicare payments.
Are these people really so stupid as to think that anything promised for a yes vote will come to pass?
Obviously the answer is yes. When this is all said and done these people are going to look like fools.

I voted for the runner up — Obama’s Palestinian leftism — because the more obvious blunder of “3,000% off” doesn’t do any actual harm, it just serves as a reminder that Obama is in fact an idiot, and not the brilliant legal mind that his delusional supporters imagine.
Yes, the stupid mother-fuc*er can’t figure out the math of 100%, but that won’t do anyone harm except Obama. His fuc*ing up of the Israel-Palestinian relationship will cost lives, as it always does.

I just came back from Wal-mart and bought me a cute white sundress at 3000% off. What-a-deal! Bought a bucket of puff mints, dips for chips here, music and a couple of movies.
This is by far one stressful day. Beats having my second kid.

He owns academia – They’ll probably change the school’s name to match Obama’s new spelling.

I’m a 1000% sure he be my baby daddy, Maury!

The man is a DOLT! All of the choices are good, but I voted for the Natoma story. Just another pathetic illustration that our healthcare system is not really broken. Oh wait…it isn’t really about fixing healthcare, is it?

One must believe in him in a Jim Jones-esq kind of way to not see what a fool he is.

It scares the hell out of me that a president doesn’t even know that the maximum reduction of ANY figure is 100%.
Soooo, when are we going to get to see the SAT scores of this fabulous “intellectual”?
disa on March 21, 2010 at 5:07 PM
And I’d like to add that this is the last time a “dark horse” candidate is going to win the Presidency due to the sycophancy of the lame stream media. More and more people are getting information from the internet.
