Beeler on Democratic ethics enforcement
posted at 8:48 am on March 12, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
The Washington Examiner’s Nate Beeler uses the week’s rather strange events to accurately portray the Democratic leadership’s idea of fighting ethics violations. A good editorial cartoonist can expertly lampoon a particular situation, but a brilliant cartoonist can connect the dots in a single panel to tell an overarching story:

This definitely belongs in the latter category. As we approach the midterms, Democratic corruption will definitely be an 800-pound gorilla in the room. It won’t be the only one, though, and voters won’t have tickle fights planned in November for Pelosi’s caucus.

Blowback

Awesome, haha.
The longer you look at it, the more the little details spring out at you to make it even better.

Get out those “Culture of Corruption” ads from 2006.
Take out “Abramoff, Foley and GOP.” Insert “Rangel, Massa and Democrats.”
Recycling at its finest.

Only in our congress can you appoint your own people to adjudicate your unethical behavior!
Nothing to see folks, move along.

Tack on the slogan, “Democrats: Just as bad as Republicans.” Victory in November is assured!
hicsuget on March 12, 2010 at 8:54 AM
Unless Conservative media is able to expose these dealings as loud and long as the state run media runs it’s character assassinations, it’s going to be more of the same, and actually condoned by the state run media.
AND SEE HOW CUTE THE CARTOON LOOKS!

Democrats are ethically challenged. And, we are all suffering from the policies of the The Smartest President Ever, who can’t understand that its the Economy, Stupid!

Ha ha! He He! Haw! Haw!
(wipes eyes)
Sorry… the use of “Democrats” and “ethics” together…
Rusty Bill on March 12, 2010 at 8:59 AM
Could we say Nancy Pelosi’s had a “a few good weeks”?
“We really need to pass this bill, so we know what’s in it”
“We’ll take up the bill when we’re ready to take up the bill”
Throw in this 800lb gorilla, and you’ve just gotta love this “new direction”.

Don’t let Stretch see that rendering of her or she’ll be RUNNING to her plastic surgeon for another lift. I really don’t care to see her with a beard.

How true this is: Backed up by all the Democrat/Liberal prisoners presently occupying our prisons.
And they have some of the finest gangs there, too.

As cringe-worthy as it may be, I look forward to the GOP ads featuring Pelosi talking about the “Most ethical Congress evah!”
Kafir on March 12, 2010 at 9:10 AM
The lies and deceptions from every part of this administration are so obvious that even the brainwashed lemmings who make up their base are even embarrassed.
volsense on March 12, 2010 at 9:11 AM
The principles of ‘ethics’ seem to have escaped the Democratic Party, including the WH. And…just sayin’, a lot of Democrats I know out here in the big, bad world seem to think it’s a lot of do about nothing. This must be some point of view you have to embrace to be a true Democrat?
jeanie on March 12, 2010 at 9:12 AM
The thing with Massa and the leadership knowing last October that he was a freak should hurt them. That story of the tickling on his birthday still freaks me out.
TXMomof3 on March 12, 2010 at 9:13 AM
The best part? How many of these scandals were deliberately released or sat on in order to prod reluctant Democrat votes on the health care bill? THEY DID IT TO THEMSELVES!!
Sekhmet on March 12, 2010 at 9:13 AM
Herman Melville wrote of people like these in “The Lightning Rod Man”.
Cybergeezer on March 12, 2010 at 9:14 AM
haha Great cartoon!
becki51758 on March 12, 2010 at 9:16 AM
And, now that I think of it, Melville also wrote “Billy Budd” which, I think, applies to the current treatment of the American People by our Congress.

I would have added a can of tuna sitting on her desk and her skanky mouth open showing her skanky teeth.

I thought Madam Speaker was going to drain that swamp. Trouble is, when you drain a swamp the critters you want to expose aren’t the only ones that come to the surface.

Gootchie Gootchie Goo!
You know, when you really think about it, Tickle Me Pelosi! just sounds plain wrong!
pilamaye on March 12, 2010 at 9:42 AM
The whole setting up of a lunch date with one of Barney Frank’s gay staffers freaks me out. Massa’s behavior was so out-of-line Pelosi or Hoyer should have had a “chat” with him long before he was exposed.
highhopes on March 12, 2010 at 9:42 AM
There is no way that a politician can spend decades in DC and not be dirty to some extent.
My idea of reform-
We need term limits. Two terms in the House or one in the Senate. Then back to the folks back home since former members of Congress would be prohibited from lobbying for a period equal to their term in office. That way, by the time they can lobby, all their connections would be term limited out of power as well.
highhopes on March 12, 2010 at 9:45 AM
I assume you’re basing that on the belief that the MSM will cover the corruption rather than bury, camouflage and excuse it which is certain. Very naive.
Dr. Carlo Lombardi on March 12, 2010 at 9:45 AM
She forgot that when you drain the swamp, all the bodies you’ve hidden there are exposed, along with the smoking guns, the knives, lost documents, etc…..
Unintended consequences indeed.
BobMbx on March 12, 2010 at 9:47 AM
Haha Get a load of the jugs on cartoon Pelosi.
… gross.

Nancy looks uglier than the gorilla.. all the Botox in the world cant help the Wicked Witch from the West..
God, I wish that these Dimmicrats get their sorry donka**kicked in November just so Pelosi’s REIGN OF RUIN comes to an end

gee you amateurs.

I wish a leading pollster would poll the following question of likely voters, “Do YOU think this is the most ethical congress, EVEH?”

She called it draining the swamp.
Swamps are natural…..
It should be called cleaning the cesspool… They got so much shit in congress that Ridex can’t touch it. Pump it out and bury it in Harry Reids desert!

Beeler is awesome. Ramirez too.
But, why, ohhh WHY must we continue to suffer as all of this invaluable comedy gold goes right on by? Where is our SNL, where is our comedy show? It’d be an instant HIT–a counter SNL show that lampoons these fools would give the country what it is really dying for right now, a huge dose of laughter.
*sigh……* good job nate, cartoon was funny.
ted c on March 12, 2010 at 10:21 AM
Why do we counter Jon Stewart with Bill Oreilly?
I don’t stay up till 3 am to watch redeye, but is it a funny show? If so, i ain’t seen any clips, just heard it was popular.
ted c on March 12, 2010 at 10:22 AM
Peloser is not a intelligent person, but she doesn’t need to be. She just needs to be smarter than those who elected her. As long as the average IQ in San Francisco begins with a decimel point, her single digit IQ makes her a flaming genius to those who elected her. She is prime example on what happens when the botox no longer works.
volsense on March 12, 2010 at 10:24 AM
When Massa referred to the “tickle” fights he engaged in while being interviewed by Beck, I had no idea those tickle fights were with the House Ethics committee. That explains everything.
iamsaved on March 12, 2010 at 10:37 AM
The weakest part of our gov. Having the fox oversee the hen house.
The ones in power, decide what “wrongs” they want to investigate.
It is so bad that we really should appoint a National Grand Jury to decide who and what to prosecute.
As much as I want to minimize gov. I would go along with that idea….but whom?
right2bright on March 12, 2010 at 11:13 AM
Congress critter are using the joke “Tickle me Massa” now.
Yes, yes, they know it c/b misinterpreted as racist. What’s the fix? Change the ‘gentleman’s’ name?

Pelosi’s interview with Rose is a crackup. She is ripe for the white sheets. Even poor Charlie knew it.

I wouldn’t bet the paycheck on that.

We have a Captain Ahab in the White House after his whale of a deal healthcare bill.

LOL! I love the cartoon.
Claypigeon on March 12, 2010 at 12:54 PM
It just kills me, how Pelosi a few years back cried foul about corruption on the Republican side, yet when it’s coming from her own back yard, she stands there all sanctimonious as if to say….not us. We’re democrats, and we’re above it all.
This woman is a disgrace, disgusting, and needs to go!!!
