Talking babies cry over ObamaCare, debt
posted at 2:35 pm on March 10, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
Okay, I have to admit that I’m not a big fan of the Talking Babies commercials on television, but this satire from the Republican Study Committee made me laugh out loud. The Obama administration and Democrats in Congress continue to create mountains of debt for these toddlers; why wouldn’t they be crying? Heck, most of us are already in tears over the wild deficit spending run up by Democrats over the last couple of years:
Of course, we were also in tears over the Republican spending binge, too — something the GOP had better keep in mind when they return to power. Put simply, we’re tired of getting stuck with Congress’ dirty diapers and getting fed nothing but pablum. If they want these babies to grow up conservative, the GOP needs to ensure that they don’t betray the trust of the Tea Party movement.

The Empire Continues to Strike Back: Team Obama Propaganda Campaign Reaches Fever Pitch
MB4 on March 10, 2010 at 2:37 PM
OK, that’s a talking baby ad I can get behind.
Republicans running this November need to emphasis just how much debt the Fascist-Democrats are piling on to future generations. And then get to cutting spending once they’ve won.

If anyone thinks the current crop of Republicans will actually attempt to reverse the spending spree in DC, they are delusional. Even if they sit there and do not obligated one dime more, our debt is already out of control and will take some serious cuts to big programs that nobody is going to like. When someone starts talking about reining in Social Security and Medicare, then maybe we will have a chance.

In the first place, I highly doubt that many people seriously researched Obama’s background from worthwhile sourves. More likely than not they got their ‘facts’ from some slanted blog or from whatever collection of soundbites they happened to see/hear.
Remember – I’m not actually on either side of the fence, although the Democr@p’s recent actions have me tilting right. I’m waiting for either party to come up with good reasons to support them…and so far the only ‘reasons’ are being ‘because the other side doesn’t do X’.

I am not questioning what you (probably) intended to say. I am questioning what you did say. You claimed that the message needs to pander to the low IQ in order to be understood by most Americans. That is an inherently false assumption. The term “low IQ” is a relative measure that automatically assumes a number that is less than the mean IQ. That means by definition the “low IQ” group must be less than half of all Americans. However, the term “most Americans” implies a majority. In truth, your statement is an oxymoron.
You probably should have said that the message needs to be kept simple because of the inferior educational system we now have in America. Then we could have surmised that Americans are not comparatively stupid, but have been handicapped by how our government uses education to indoctrinate rather than educate. When you wish to control people the first thing you must remove is the ability for critical thinking. I feel our government is doing an excellent job of that, and I hold your own statement up as evidence. Did you even realize that you had expressed yourself incorrectly?
