Quotes of the day
posted at 10:40 pm on March 10, 2010 by Allahpundit
“I am thoroughly convinced that while Obama is somewhat vulnerable (if the economy improves, he wins big, if it stays the same, he wins very small, if it gets worse, he loses big), Sarah Palin has less of a chance to beat him than just about anyone else who is currently considered in contention…
“By joining Fox News Channel and fully embracing the Tea Party movement (both of which are fantastic in concept but far less than perfect in practice) I believe she has sealed herself off from having any chance to change the minds that she would have to persuade to be viable against Obama. This includes the vast majority of the over seventy percent of voters which polls show think she is ‘not qualified’ to be president, as well as numerous die-hard Republicans who have unfortunately (and despite my best efforts) already completely bought into the media’s negative view of her…
“[U]nder the ‘economic doom’ scenario, Palin might very be the only mainstream Republican Obama could beat. Think of it this way, if things are truly that desperate in 2012, is America really going to dump a guy who at least has four years of Presidential experience for a person who has none, who ‘quit’ her job as Governor of a small state, and who they have been told over and over is not very bright?…
“Of course, it is very important to point out that something like this may already be Palin’s plan (for the record, I have shared almost all of these thoughts with her via her personal e-mail but have received no response). So far, I have not seen one shred of legitimate evidence indicating that she has decided to run and some serious indications that she won’t. If she really possesses the personal qualities that I have been claiming she does, then she will realize that it is not in her, her party’s, or her country’s interest for her to do so.”
***
“In 2012, Palin would control what she wanted to talk about and would be a proactive campaigner dictating what the media was forced to cover.
“Mitt Romney, or the rest of the stale, tired, losers RedState and other ‘Romney guy’ sites keep pushing would just follow the standard GOP model of reacting to whatever the MSM is pushing…and since the MSM would be pushing whatever made Dr. Utopia look best, the campaign dynamic would be completely different.
“Palin would be in charge by the very nature of who she is, and the massive response she gets to every little thing she does. Romney and the others would be at the mercy of fate and media whims, forever tilting the way the wind blew against them, never gaining traction, losing to Dr. Utopia’s re-election machine…of which the media is not just a part, but the core and engine.
“We will endeavor for the next two years to make sure we do everything we can to help Sarah Palin.”

That is completely true; Palin would be in charge of communicating with the people, not McCain the one that was brainwashed in a commie camp.
McCain is a loser, so is his big boobs daughter, she posted them Mammories on Twitter for all the world to see. Size 42 DD, so don;t tell me anything.
And McCain, well if you can’t see him for being a loser you are blind.
In 2000, running against Bush, he was back by Democrats and he said to Republicans, “Join us, Join us.”
That among other insane acts.
When will Meagan show her fully exposed nipples?
What?
Allahpundit wants to see them.

Yawn…….another Palin can’t win piece!
Let’s see, nearly three years before an election Polls are always right of course.
Ask President Howard Dean, Ask President Hillary Clinton, ask President Rudy Guiliani. You also might remember President Thomas Dewey, President Edmund Muskie, President Michael Dukakis, President Gary Hart or even President Ross Perot.
If memory serves me correctly all of these people were poll winners, media favorites, or sure things. Mmmmm, I guess not so much.
Most recently how far down has Marco Rubio been down? 35 points?

I think Ziegler underestimates the independents’ penchant for voting against someone they think has hurt the country. That, or he ignores it totally and is under the impression that all elections are about candidates’ ability to inspire voters to vote for them. That is how it works for the base, but not necessarily for independents. Reagan was painted as an idiot too, but that didn’t stop him from winning in not one, but two landslides. Palin wouldn’t have to have a landslide. If she gets all of McCain’s states and three or four of Obama’s, she’s the next president. That’s entirely doable.

Assume for a second that both the wingnut right AND the reactionary left are correct, and that BOTH Palin and Obama are stupid.
Wouldn’t that be like “Alien vs. Predator” for morons?
N. O'Brain on March 11, 2010 at 9:06 AM
LOL Obama with any experience? The gecko Lizard could beat Obama in 2012.
Hillary is very quite, expect her to pipe up if OBAMA CARE passes or fails .
Would Any one choose the “O ” over Hillary ? prolly not
Perhaps Rush and Hannity will shut up and let the DEMS pick their candidate , and not encourage Republicans to cross over and vote .( wouldnt we all like to have that moment back and Maybe Hillary would have won the nomination )
Conservatives will vote for anyone other than ” O “

recovering Dem in da house, I would vote Romney in a heartbeat
ginaswo on March 11, 2010 at 9:17 AM
PPP (Dem pollster) has Obama beating her by 7 points (earlier he was leading her by double digits). How does 7 points down, 2 years out, equal “no chance”?
Jon0815 on March 11, 2010 at 9:26 AM
You might find pause for that when you are fully recovered. ;)

They’ve been working campaigns for years. Some I’m sure they’ve won and some they’ve lost. You’re not saying you always pick the winner, are you? If so, can you divine for us who will win in 2012? I’d like to be prepared. And tomorrow night’s MegaMillions numbers would be great too.
I don’t know if you realize this, but Obama didn’t exactly win the primary in a runaway landslide. It was close right up until the very end. People who worked her campaign like the Boyzz, and some of my friends here in Arkansas, know what really happened. In concert with a media willing to destroy Hillary’s campaign and hound her constantly to drop out, the Obama people used the typical Chicago thug tactics to help him muscle his way into that nomination. Had everyone played fair, I dare say we might be complaining about President Clinton today, instead of Dr. Utopia.

What is fascinating is the recent poll, which shows Huckabee well ahead of Romney. Undecided, of course, still wins the day.
Romney was scraping the bottom, along with Palin.

What happened – didn’t HA get enough hits from the Zeigler piece the last time it was posted?

It says I am a Social Libertarian, which of course I am nothing of the sort. The option for Conservative isn’t even in the test.
The questions are slanted and ambiguous. None of those online tests are that great, and most are trying to find a particular result.
sharrukin on March 11, 2010 at 12:14 PM
The last thing Palin, Romney, or any Republicans need is internecine warfare of the sort advocated by HillBuzz (who didn’t manage to get Hillary elected, but I digress). I won’t even bother to comment about their analysis because it’s too idiotic to take seriously.
