It begins: House Dems backing away from Obama’s deadline for ObamaCare
posted at 4:51 pm on March 4, 2010 by Allahpundit
So how long did Gibbs’s “March 18 or bust” ultimatum last? Four hours maybe?
Decide for yourselves what this means. Either Obama’s own caucus no longer takes him seriously or he’s so removed from the political realities of this vote in the House that he’s placing literally impossible demands on them. “Both” is an acceptable answer.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said the Democrats would like to get a final vote by Congress’ Easter break, which begins March 29. But he also said “the world doesn’t fall apart” if that timeline isn’t met — a nod to the many missed deadlines that have characterized the health overhaul effort so far.
Democratic leaders are contending with a host of undecided lawmakers who want to see the fine print before making a decision. Hoyer said final language and a cost estimate should come back from the Congressional Budget Office by the end of next week.
“At this point in time we don’t have a bill,” Hoyer said. “It’s a little difficult to count votes if you don’t have a bill.”…
“Every legislative lift is a heavy lift around here,” Pelosi said.
Here’s Madam Speaker in Baghdad Bob mode this afternoon, assuring the 34 percent or so of Americans who like the bill that, oh yes, it shall be passed. Not pictured here: Her lie about what Reid’s bill does to abortion funding. Speaking of which, the leader of the House’s pro-choice caucus insists that Stupak is bluffing about having the votes to sink the bill, but I’m getting a distinct Bob-ish vibe from her too. Quote:
“He says he has 10 or 11 people who will vote no, but a lot of those people voted no the first time, but there are also a lot of other people who voted no the first time who now want to support the bill,” she said.
Er, no, not “a lot of those people” voted no the first time. In fact, none of them did. But never mind that. Who are these many no votes she claims are now ready to flip to yes? Give us one name. One.

They break Friday, April 3 and reconvene Monday, April 20.

Don’t underestimate Obama. The lyin Pinnochio is not an idiot he is a committed Marxist bent on making everyone EQUAL. Not equal opportunity but equal outcome .
REDISRIBUTING THE WEALTH, reperations, marxist takeover.
Call it what you will he wants us all equally poor and beholden to government.
Sadly for him its hard to do, the system is hard to manipulate, but he is committed and is aware enough of the weaknesses to use them to advantage.
ie. his outright lies, bribes, threats. The ends justify the means because the ends are so honorable. This is the Islamic worlds mindset and he is well trained there and by Marxists here. To say he is an idiot is to diminish the danger and give him advantage

Can someone explain what the h*ll they are going to vote on? Doesn’t it have to be the Senate bill, or nothing?
I keep hearing people saying if ‘this’ is left in, or ‘that’ is taken out? I don’t get it?

Well, the so-called Senate bill is full of “holes”, to be filled in after passage; that is, the Senate bill that is full of holes, that hasn’t been read before (or after) being voted on, that was written by TIDES, Apollo and ACORN, that we really don’t know if anyone has seen the above unconstitutional mess or if a phony version of the above travesty has been provided to the GOP, public, etc.
So, nothing is as it seems, except for the fact that the stench of corruption would make any decent American reach for the smelling salts and the pitchfork.
This deception, graft, bribery and deceit should put every Dem, from berri on down, in day-glo orange and shackles for life.
Their 2500 page travesty will say whatever the demons want it to say, before, during and after any vote because it’s nothing more than the blueprint on how heavy and long the chains need to be forged.

Dick Morris’ list of 30 most vulnerable House Dems.
Please call them!
You might even get to entertain yourself as I did when a snotty little aid pretended he didn’t know what obamacare was, and tried to correct me after he “realized” that stupid me must have meant “health care reform”. I let him know that if he didn’t know that the hottest political issue in the nation was known as obamacare, he needed to quit, or if he did know and was just trying to be insulting he needed to be fired. I told him he lost either way. It was shooting ducks in a barrel, but it made for a fun two minute break in the day.

Thank you, lukespapa, for asking the question that has been driving me up the wall. And all the best to Luke.

It’s official. You can see it in her eyes.
This idiotic and foolish woman has totally lost all sense of reason.

According to this site:
http://www.thecapitol.net/FAQ/cong_schedule.html
Congress will be home for a “District Work Period” March 29 to April 11.
It’s time to call all of your Reps and Senators to find out when they will be holding their Town Hall Meetings.
Key question:
Nancy Pelosi hasn’t held a public Town Hall meeting in her district in San Francisco since January 2006. Who thinks that Nancy Pelosi will hold a Town Hall meeting during this District Work Period?

So she wants to pass health care reform, especially for women, as they are discriminated against (presumably for being women) by insurance companies??
I pay a penis tax for car insurance. Even if I cut the thing off, I still get charged extra. I want auto insurance reform then too Nancy!
I pay more in insurance than my girlfriend does. We are both 25. She has a speeding ticket on her record, I do not. She has 3 car accidents on her record, I have 0. She has a DUI on her record, I do not. I have taken defensive driving courses and my car is worth 1/3 of the value of hers. I still get charged more although the facts should be pointing to me being charged less as my car is worth less and I have an impeccable record.

Yes Nanny Pissoffy will pass the bill sometime in the future but not now unless they want to committee hari kari
MSGTAS on March 5, 2010 at 9:41 AM
Both would be my answer and add in removed from reality altogether. How the Won thought he could pass a bill with abortion in it by Easter is not real world thinkin’. GOD don’t like ugly.
Kissmygrits on March 5, 2010 at 10:30 AM
Well if you can change the definition of marriage, how hard can it be to change the definition of abortion?
It’s not an abortion, it’s a fetus furlough program.
We’ll put it back we swear.
