PPP: Obama’s approval rating now negative in every red state that flipped in 2008

posted at 6:25 pm on March 1, 2010 by Allahpundit

Feel the realignment.

-In Colorado a recent Rasmussen poll found his approval at 45/53. Research 2000 found his favorability at 46/47 in January.

-In Florida Rasmussen found his approval at 45/54 and Quinnipiac’s latest found it at 45/49.

-In Indiana Rasmussen has his approval at 44/54 and Research 2000 finds his favorability at 46/49…

-In Nevada Rasmussen finds his approval at 46/54. We found 44/52 in in January.

There are nine states in all but I’m giving you numbers for four where there’s a Democrat in trouble in the local Senate race and The One will be expected to — giggle — campaign for him. It’s working for Reid, isn’t it? In fact, just this afternoon, the White House declared its support for Blanche Lincoln (whose own red state did not flip) against newly minted lefty primary challenger Bill Halter. Why they’d do that instead of staying out of the race entirely is beyond me — the Obama imprimatur will be pure liability if she makes it to the general — but that’s the canniness we’ve come to expect after their successes in Virginia, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.

With the bludgeon of reconciliation now being wielded in earnest, I think it’s officially time to start predictions on where The One’s approval rating will settle if they push ObamaCare through. Over/under is 41.

Blowback

If they do this 51% thing it totally changes the rules of the Senate. We’re going to end up with two Houses of Representatives instead of a real Senate. Well what goes around comes around. Libs won’t get any more judges through in a Republican White house AND we’ll repeal this socialistic sacrilege.

If they do this, we use reconciliation to repeal by striking from the budget every single one of their new programs, from Obamacare to cap and tax.

It actually would be far more kosher to use reconciliation to remove stuff like that than to pass it, since it’s supposed to be a tool for balancing the budget/getting budgets passed…

Also, I don’t like using the kamikaze term for the democrat party. They are the jihad party. They are engaged as suicide bombers fighting a jihad against our Constitution. And like the muslims, they don’t care how many children are harmed.

interesting word choice, but, all things considered, I would have to agree.

Mid 30′s is his floor. Mainly because of two factors:

1. The race that will support at 95%+ him solely because of the color of his skin.

2. The fact that pollsters will play with the democrat/republican and racial sampling percentages to give him as good a number as they can without being too ridiculous to prevent him from falling any lower than that.

Soon as this happens, the “Obama is unpopular because everyone who disapproves of him is racist” meme will dominate the MSM reporting.

He’ll wish he were at 41. We will make this country so ungovernable he’ll rue the day his imbecile whore of a mother first said hello to his African commie father.

Thought you were quite generous with the over/under 41, under 34.

@elduende ,
I loathe Obama but please tone down the harsh language – for the record i think his mom was a commie too.

If your message fails to post and WordPress saves it for you, it puts backslashes in front of special characters like apostrophes to “quote” them so they are not taken as the beginning or end of a quoted string. Unfortunately, when it gives it back to you, it fails to remove the backslashes. Blank lines also get lost.

Of course, with Firefox you can almost always just hit the back button (may take a couple of times) and find the original post, copy it, hit the forward button the same number of times, and paste the original text.
