Bernie Sanders: Climate-change skeptics kind of remind me of Nazi appeasers

Desperate times for global warmists call for desperate measures by the Senate’s only admitted socialist. I’ve heard more than one righty say that climate change is the left’s version of the war on terror (same global threat but minus any “oppressed” enemy to have to grapple with), but to Bernie I guess it’s the left’s version of World War II. I’m almost disappointed that he didn’t go the whole nine yards and compare skeptics to Holocaust deniers, but given his politics, it’s nice to know that there’s at least one war in American history he thinks was worth fighting.
“It reminds me in some ways of the debate taking place in this country and around the world in the late 1930s,” said Sanders, perhaps the most liberal member of the Senate, during a Senate hearing Tuesday. “During that period of Nazism and fascism’s growth-a real danger to the United States and democratic countries around the world- there were people in this country and in the British parliament who said ‘don’t worry! Hitler’s not real! It’ll disappear!”
Sanders’ reference to the Nazi threat is sure to enrage Republicans who are already skeptical of the science behind climate change. But Sanders wasn’t the only one throwing bombs at a hearing that was ostensibly about the EPA’s fiscal 2011 budget. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), who has called global warming a “hoax,” is asking for an investigation into the science used in the latest Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the governing body on climate science.
Earlier in the hearing, Inhofe had chided Sanders: “I know the senator from Vermont wants so badly to believe that the science on climate change is settled but it’s not.”

Hey, Bernie? I don’t know if you’ve heard yet about that epic fail at Copenhagen, but it wasn’t, say, Jim Inhofe who wrecked the deal.
One tantalizing footnote to today’s hearing: The IPCC suddenly seems out of favor with Senator Ma’am. I wonder why.

Climate change really isn’t Bernie’s bag. He’s just on that bandwagon to insure he gets everything else listed above.

Vermont needs to rejoin the Union. Between politicians like Bernie Sanders and Former Governor and 2004 presidential hopeful, Howard Dean, something must be in the water there or at least in the water fountains at the polling places. How strong is the drug enforcement in Vermont?
When Al Gore finally is called before a congressional committee, will he have a fresh global warming climate crisis poem ready? Harry Smith will surely be there at his side or at least be willing to put his head in Al’s lap. Who are these idiot “righties” you speak of? The War on Terror’s goals weren’t a “New World Order”… NWO is the reason this crap was invented and won’t go quietly. And before anyone calls me a conspiracy theorist, I’m not making theorizing, I’m telling you what actual world leaders say.
If he was talking about Obama, rather than climate change, I’d agree with him completely. And no, that’s not hyperbole. We’re headed down a bad road with this evil SOB and most of the country won’t fully recognize it because they refuse to believe this could be happening. Sure, consumer confidence will drop, people will be concerned with their pocketbooks, but they won’t realize what’s being done right now before it’s too late.
Ask yourselves this question – how can Obama and all of the “experts” who surround him really be stupid enough to believe their policies will work? Are YOU naive enough to believe that “stupidity” is the problem? Isn’t it much more likely, and in fact quite obvious, that this is by design. Obama doesn’t give a @#$% if we don’t like him, or even if we reelect him… As long as he brings the country so far in the toilet, past the point of no return, he’s happy. Again, how is this not obvious? How can anyone sit there and think these are just honest, stupid mistakes being made, when we know what works and what doesn’t, and they’re deliberately choosing things that don’t?
