Quotes of the Day
posted at 11:45 pm on February 17, 2010 by Karl
“He definitely saw America as the enemy…
“My sense of him was that he was a pure Marxist socialist and I didn’t see him thinking in terms of race. I just think that’s surprising given what he wrote in Dreams of My Father…
“He and Barack Obama looked like a wealthy gay couple. That’s what I thought of them when I first saw them. My girlfriend had to tell me kind of secretly on the side that they weren’t gay. They were very well dressed…
“I think he’s still a socialist.”
***
“I look forward to working with Ed Morrissey and Allahpundit during a critical period in determining our country’s future.”

steviedfromnc on February 17, 2010 at 11:52 PM
He most certainly does.
He still doesn’t think mainly in terms of race, really. He thinks in terms of third-world/Western world. He despises the West – out of jealousy, for the most part. He loves to hang out with and give tons of power to anti-white racists, though. I think he just gets a kick out of watching them work, as the West tears itself apart through them. This is why he was so quick to move to an attempt to foment racial animus as a defense tactic to try and save the health scare, during the town hall period.

Where was this guy who knew Obama during his college years during the election?
Obama really is a puzzle. He certainly holds a resentment against he US. I think he, along with his mother blamed the US for pushing his father away during his childhood. His own father espoused this to him. The fact that he grew up with the guidance of known Communist/marxist Frank Marshall Davis is startling alone.

After drinking a potion of Saul Alinsky’s, Jeremiah Wright’s, Rahm Emanuel’s, David Axelrod’s, Bill Ayers’, Adolf Hitler’s, King George III, King Louis XVI and his own creation, Barack is transformed into the cruel, remorseless, pathological, misanthropic, pyromaniac Herr Hussein, representing the hidden side of Obama’s dual nature brought to the fore. As Barack, he has many friends and a pleasing personality, but as Herr Hussein he becomes more and more dictatorial, more and more scape goating, makes ever longer enemies lists, encourages demonization or political opponents and becomes ever more socialist and fascist like as time goes by as Herr Hussein continues to grow in dominance. After taking this potion repetitively, he will no longer need to rely upon it to unleash his inner socialist fascist demons.

They have him..John McCain.
Look, I’m not Marverick’s biggest fan, but by damned, he has been THE guy going after Obama, and fore once his “reach across the aisle” claim to fame may be a good thing!
While everyone was caterwauling about the KSM trial, Johnnie Mac, his girlfriend Lindsay, and Joe Lieberman were drafting legislation to stop it, and now they are getting scared dems to join them.
As much as I’d LOVE to see John retire, we all have to be careful not to allow perfect to become the enemy of the good.
gary4205 on February 18, 2010 at 12:43 AM
Fred gets no pass for endorsing McShame. It’s an awful and stupid move, and I’m a bigger Fred fan than Palin fan (though she’s far more effective and lethal to the dems).
And JD is doing just fine. You folks will probably be surprised when you find out that most of America has grave doubts about the Ineligible Idiot from Indonesia, who will be going to Indonesia in March, and questions about his nationality and national status do not turn anyone off. The only people who look at the eligibility questions as some sort of weird conspircay theories (which they aren’t) are some touchy people on the politically active right. No one else is really bothered by the inuiry and most think that there’s nothing wrong with expecting documentation from the person occupying the White House.

The media has thoroughly Alinsky’ed the subject.
Get elected THEN say something, if you have issues.
The fact is, J.D. is weak and would be an easy pick off for a dem, even in this climate. And if you don’t think the dems wouldn’t brink up the birther stuff…….
Reagan said it best….”someone I agree with 80% of the time is not 20% my enemy.”

The very worst amongst us have risen to the top. It is the political dichotomy that ensures this. All politics today is based on parasite vs host. With a history filled with cursing, (“F*ck you” to John Cornyn, “A$$hole to Pete Domenici, “F*cking jerk to Charles Grassley, screaming and throwing temper tantrums at fellow Republicans over the years, John McCain seems to save his admiration and glowing praise for Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore.
On Nancy Pelosi, McCain was positively gushing with compliments and niceties:
Nancy Pelosi, praising her as an effective leader and an “inspiration to millions of Americans.”
“I respect Speaker Pelosi. I think she’s one of the great American success stories,” McCain said during an interview with The Chronicle prior to a fundraiser at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
“We talk about (New York Sen.) Hillary Clinton and her inspiration to millions of Americans. Speaker Pelosi has been an inspiration as well” in a role that is “in many ways … more powerful than the president.” {Source: San Francisco Chronicle}
What did he say?? Pelosi “an effective leader”, and an “inspiration to millions of Americans”?? Someone who pretty much practices Socialism gets this kind of praise and gushy sentiments from the GOP PRESIDENTIAL candidate, while cursing out Conservative leaders like John Cornyn.
And it didn’t end with Pelosi. Without skipping a beat, McCain went on to praise Al Gore for HIS leadership on the phony baloney Global Warming / Climate Change hysteria:
And McCain also had high praise for the 2000 Democratic presidential candidate Al Gore and his advocacy on the issue of climate change. McCain recently raised eyebrows in GOP circles by calling “doable” Gore’s suggestion that the country could become entirely energy independent through use of renewable resources within 10 years.
“I agree with his goal,” the Arizona senator said Monday of Gore’s idea. “I may disagree with all the ways of getting there. But I again want to emphasize my respect for the former vice president’s leadership on this issue and his continuous leadership. And I am in no way trying to get into a fight with him.”
Agreement on goals
McCain said that while he differs with Gore on the importance of nuclear power, “I do believe that his goals and his priorities and the visibility that he’s given the issue has been good for America and the world.”
I guess it’s true that like minds stick together. This won’t go over well with the base, which John McCain doesn’t seem to care about anyway:
His praise for two Democrats who are regularly in the bull’s-eye of the conservative talk radio and the right-wing blogosphere is likely to draw fire from Republican loyalists, who consider Pelosi and Gore to be the evil twins of liberalism.
“It drives the talk radio crowd nuts when McCain does not wage war on Pelosi and Gore,” said Hoover Institution media fellow Bill Whalen. McCain, he said, likely was trying to reach out to moderate and independent voters during his San Francisco visit.
McCain is probably in the best shape of his life these days with all the running to the left he has been doing.

The ONLY reason I got excited about the deal was because of Sarah, but I had been a fan LONG before McCain ever met her. (It’s why I am such a strong supporter now)
All I know is as crappy of a candidate McCain was/is, he is continually on TV wearing Obama’s ass out. He’s been one of the loudest voices against him.

No. Ed was in transit to CPAC, so AP started his blogging earlier, and asked Slu and I to fill in tonight. Ed may turn up occasionally while at CPAC, but it will be mostly AP (and I would guess he’ll be looking to promote some Greenroom posts to the front page). But it’s not a regular thing.

Actually, that should be “Slu and me.”
Long day.

I remember during the election having a convo with friends and family about how I thought Obama was gay. I don’t know what it is about him, but he gives off a gay vibe…and it’s not the way he’s dressed. I still think he is gay…or at least bi. But either way…the dude’s been with a dude.
One of my friends joked that he would repeat the blue dress episode of the Clinton years, but with blue pants instead. We all agreed though that was unlikely. He seems to be a very disciplined man, unlike Clinton.
