Krauthammer: You forgot Door Number 3, champ

posted at 3:45 pm on January 26, 2010 by Ed Morrissey

Charles Krauthammer jumps onto Barack Obama’s one-term, two-term choice like a backsliding vegetarian on a filet mignon — but that’s just the appetizer.  Noting that Obama left out a third option in his “I’d rather be a good one-term President than a mediocre two-term President” quip to Diane Sawyer, Krauthammer says that thus far, Obama’s mediocrity would mean not getting that second term:

Krauthammer then goes after Obama’s excuse-making from last week (also on ABC), in which he claimed that his sliding poll numbers came from a lack of explaining himself to the voters.  Obama only had 21 days of his Presidency in 2009 in which he didn’t give a speech, make a public appearance, or offer televised or recorded comments on political issues, and most of those were during his Christmas vacation.

The final minute is a good analysis of where Obama and the Democrats will go on ObamaCare.  They’ve been boxed into a corner, and right now the only sure play is to throw in the towel and try fighting on jobs instead.

Blowback

He still has a week or two to nail down that 2nd Nobel prize nomination
– maybe for Economics this time? Green Physics? Rhetoric?

How about a Nobel Prize for Transparency? but it would probably be hard to see…

It will take two years for the media to pick sides. There will be lots of dirty laundry, lies, and videotape. Ah, it almost gives me chills.

How about inner city riots? Can you imagine the black community’s outrage? Do you think they will vote for Hillary after she challenged their Messiah? Do you think the Donks want to take that chance?

I suppose if Obama voluntarily decides not to run and offers up a “reason” they might dodge that bullet, though I can’t think of what excuse he can make. He’s too young to claim health…

I love that turn of phrase! Almost as good as my husband’s “like a barn cat on a cheese-filled mouse.”

When did he have time to work?

I remember a few times in my career as an engineer that meetings took up the full day for days on end. Management expected progress to be made. There was not even time to prepare for the next meeting let alone make progress on the job.

That is where Obama sits. He is voting present, playing megalomaniac narcissist with exposure on TV and to the press, speaking engagements all over the world. He literally has no time to do the job for which we are paying him. As a POTUS he’s a Putz in Chief.

Ted Kennedy in essence stopped socialized medicine.
Irony on irony.

With all the crap out of Teddy over the years, it makes ya wonder why THIS time and just in time for a sure fire death strike to ObowMaoCare. I’m not suggesting he was suicided.

The very idea of not running is foreign to his nature. He must run for reelection because, as has been the case from day one, it’s not about the country or even the Democrat Party. It’s about him…first, last and always. Him.
