The Ed Morrissey Show: Week in Review with Duane “Generalissimo” Patterson; Update: Canceled

posted at 1:00 pm on January 22, 2010 by Ed Morrissey

Update: Unfortunately, I injured my back last night, and I’m just unable to remain seated in a chair for any longer today. I’m going to have to cancel today’s show, but in its place, I’d like to re-rerun Tuesday’s show with Marc Thiessen and his new book, Courting Disaster: How the CIA Kept America Safe and How Barack Obama Is Inviting the Next Attack
, who spoke about the changes in our counterterrorism posture and why they have made us less safe.

I’ll be back on Monday, so please tune in then!

Today, on the Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), we’ll take a look at the past week with Duane “Generalissimo” Patterson of the Hugh Hewitt Show. Duane and I will discuss the Massachusetts election and its aftermath, the DoJ’s endorsement of indefinite detention, and all of the week’s news in politics. All of this and more — and stay tuned for a preview of tonight’s Hugh Hewitt Show, as well as the view from The Hughniverse.

Now you can join the conversation in the chat room! Be sure to register at Ustream to participate in our raucous live-chat sessions. (And if the log-in prompt doesn’t come up in the chat box below, use this link instead.) Jazz Shaw of The Moderate Voice and The Monster moderate the chat, and we have Troll Gun Trivia Contest running before the show, for those who get there early — and are registered!

I’ll be making a headlining appearance on The Liberty Ship Cruise in November! Sign up today to reserve your cabin for the eight-day cruise that starts November 14th from Ft Lauderdale and visits St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Nassau. Join Paul Shanklin, Mary Katharine Ham, Andy Levy, Steven Crowder, S.E. Cupp, and many more on this trip to conservative paradise! Cabins start at only $799 if you book your trip now.

I hope you get better quickly!

After you get feeling better, I would suggest a yoga class twice a week as a way to avoid future back ache. The great thing about a class is that it will force you to actually do the exercises and fairly cheap yoga classes are usually available.

Sincerely sorry to read about your back.

But, it did result in an exponential jump in the number of comments you normally get for this column!!!

Feel better Ed! As someone who has constant pain in my lower back radiating from my pancreas surgery nerve, muscle and tissue damage, I really can feel your pain.

I am keeping you in my prayers for an extra speedy recovery!
