Obamateurism of the Day
posted at 8:05 am on January 20, 2010 by Ed Morrissey
Maybe someone should have clued Barack Obama in to what Martha Coakley was about to say in her speech on Sunday. After Coakley demonized Scott Brown as a lackey of Wall Street who wanted to sell out Massachusetts voters to fat-cat bankers, John at Verum Serum caught Obama warning the crowd about … well …
You know how politics is [sic]. At times like this, there are always those who are eager to exploit that pain and anger to score a few political points. There are always folks who, you know, think that the best way to solve the, these problems is to demonize others. And unfortunately, we’re seeing some of that politics in Massachusetts today.
Yes. In fact, people saw a great example of it twenty minutes earlier, Mr. President. It’s one of the many reasons you lost your supermajority in the Senate and a Republican won for the first time in Massachusetts in 38 years.

Got an Obamateurism of the Day? If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me at obamaisms@edmorrissey.com with the quote and the link to the Obamateurism. I’ll post the best Obamateurisms on a daily basis, depending on how many I receive. Include a link to your blog, and I’ll give some link love as well. And unlike Slate, I promise to end the feature when Barack Obama leaves office.

A lot of the Democrats won’t have a clue about the American Public’s anger until they’re sitting at home after the 2012 elections. They, like their President, are that arrogantly stupid.
kingsjester on January 20, 2010 at 8:50 AM
Yea, I wondered if that was the new talking point, or if he was flying solo. Either way, it sounded lame. Juan Williams keeps trying to talk up “How we’re all just not getting it- we’ll love it once we understand.” Why on earth would the Dem’s think we’d take their word for ANYTHING?!
anniekc on January 20, 2010 at 8:50 AM
LOL, classic Obamateurism and should be in the 2010 playoffs.

Obama’s biggest mistake, mark my words, was dissing truck-driving America.
Ford, want to wipe out all the competition? Start marketing the F-150 as The People’s Truck. :-)

Nah… he’s not manly enough for that. We know that ME-shelle can take Barry in a scuffle (just look at those gorgeous biceps!), and I’m pretty sure both of the girls could too… Just a lot of stomping, crying and cursing, I’ll bet. (Bo’s probably hiding in a closet somewhere, though.)

Happy Anniversary Mr. President. How do you like America’s gift to you? Mr. Scott Brown.

Right now this is the best video that I can find to personify how Barry must feel after so many failures in his first year. The country fell in love with him, found him “sexy” and orgasim inducing only to find out what really lies underneath that firm sexy exterior.
Enjoy!

And the arrogant ObaMao has the gall to say this one day after inviting George W. Bush to tackle the relief efforts in Haiti? BHO demeans the office of the presidency.
onlineanalyst on January 20, 2010 at 8:54 AM
Good Morning, Mr. President,
Let me be the first, to congratulate you on your first full year in office… You have accomplished so, so much.. And, to cap it all off with losing the electorate in the bluest of blue states – something heretofore thought to be impossible.
Keep up the good work
franksalterego on January 20, 2010 at 8:55 AM
Ohiobabe: I read one of your posts saying that you heard that Mike Pence was thinking about challenging Evan Bayh. That would be wonderful!
I haven’t run this by my husband yet, but we have not been sending money to the Republican Party since Reagan. My thought was to make all the states we have lived in safe for our friends and relatives again by supporting the Republicans running in OH, IN, MD, PA, and NY. Then for the whole enchillata, Sarah. Our southern relatives are good for now. If MA can do it, why not the rest of the country?
BetseyRoss on January 20, 2010 at 8:55 AM
Barry must be in a foul mood and pitching a royal fit. Two loses in Copenhagen, Virginia, New Jersey and now Massachusetts.
I bet there’s a Portuguese Water Dog named BO hiding under a sofa in the White House this morning.

The Strike-Out King is no longer in Major League Baseball. He’s in the White House.
kingsjester on January 20, 2010 at 8:57 AM
I was watching the reaction of a young liberal relative last night and watching her I realized that the far left will probably never truly process why Brown won. There is nothing wrong with MA but there is something radically wrong in Wash DC and although people may not know fully the problem they are aware that arrogant elites and not to be trusted en masse. Funny from a state that could only get rid of the ultimate elite in death.

Scott Brown appears to be an appropriate anniversary president for the “Present” of the USA—A nice Brown cherry to top off a year of jack and squat.

Brown should really toast the Liberals by proposing legislation to make today a Massachusetts holiday!
Cybergeezer on January 20, 2010 at 9:32 AM
It’s not Barry’s responsibility to pay attention to what some white woman says. To him, they all look like Hillary.
SKYFOX on January 20, 2010 at 9:47 AM
Betsey, that’s exactly what a lot of conservatives are doing now. Not sending money to the Republican party rather to candidates of choice across the nation. That’s how Brown got the quick influx of cash for his campaign. People all over the country not just in MA. Politics is no longer just local thanks to the internet.

He spelled “sick” wrong. :-)

The line of democrats seeking Comrade Barry’s campaign help has all but disappeared. This allows more time to work on golf and weeding sweet Michelle’s garden patch.

That’s Senator Scott Brown to you, Madam Coakley!

I haven’t read the whole thread, but I would add republicans into that statement too. McShamnesty and Grahmnesty are the top two progressives on my list of arrogant reps who need to be sent home permanently.

There are always folks who, you know, think that the best way to solve the, these problems is to demonize others?
Obowma’s demonized list so far:
Hillary, Edwards, Bill Clinton, Obowma’s Grandma, Rev Wright, GW Bush, Rush Limbaugh, Dick Cheney, DC cops, military photo op, US troops in Iraq, USA, talk radio, Fox News, the media who disagree with him, republicans, Israel, the UK,Gordon Brown, the French Prime Minister and his wife, elected officials in Honduras, Poland, Afghanistan troops, Glenn Beck, Hannity, Kenya Christian’s, Jesus Christ’s name covered at the speech at Georgetown University, anyone who disagrees with Obowma……
practice what you preach, brother.
