Still rockin’: Brown’s internal poll shows him up … by 11

posted at 8:46 pm on January 15, 2010 by Allahpundit

Exciting new hearsay from Geraghty, yet not the first report today of a poll showing Scotty B with a double-digit lead. I’d love to analyze the significance of it for you assuming it’s true, but … I can’t. I simply can’t wrap my mind around the concept of a Republican building up so much momentum that he’d win Ted Kennedy’s seat in a landslide. It’s like trying to imagine the Jets winning the Super Bowl. The human brain hasn’t evolved enough yet to process such possibilities.

One tells me that the most recent internal poll of the Scott Brown campaign shows the Republican winning by… 11 percentage points. I’m getting the sense that the folks hearing this are almost a little incredulous, but it seems every demographic and key group is breaking to Brown in the past day or two. For weeks, Brown and everyone around him has said they will campaign and work as if they’re 30 percentage points down. But it seems like the campaign has been one Coakley stumble after another, and you figure that would eventually start effecting the numbers. According to that measure, it’s starting to break heavily in Brown’s direction… but we’ll have to see what the final few days bring…

One problem passed on by one of my sources is the sense that Coakley is increasingly seen as a de facto incumbent, what with Democrats controlling the White House, both Houses of Congress, and for that matter, the entire state government in Massachusetts. A frustrated voter fed up with the status quo can’t easily communicate their impatience and anger by giving the nod to the party that is currently running the show.

If he wins by 10, it means … what? Five Senate Blue Dogs flip on ObamaCare? 20 new Democratic retirements? The return of Cthulhu? What?

Well well well.

Look who’s coming around to the AHFF point of view, based on facts.

I applaud your open mindedness Allah, as i recall your hatred for that PJmedia poll was quite strong, and now it is abated, as now there are two double digit polls.

That is all. :)

Cambridge Police Officers Union Endorses Brown!

We do not endorse anyone who advocates changes in the health care that take away any bargaining rights or increases our cost along with our contributions. Senator Brown does not support the Comprehensive Healthcare Reform Bill and promises to be the 41st vote to ensure its defeat. The current leadership at the state house, as we all know and have seen over the past two years, have an agenda to dismantle all of our hard earned bargained benefits and they will continue to dismantle these until there is a complete change from the top down. Martha Coakley is part of this Massachusetts leadership and she will continue with this agenda, only now it will be at the capital level and we need to stop it. So today, we the members of the Cambridge Police Patrol Officers Association endorse Scott Brown for the senate seat vacated by Senator Kennedy.

Coakley’s husband was a member of the Cambridge Police Department. Go Sgt. Crowley

It means that Allahpundit puts on a pair of rose-colored glasses and cracks a smile.

Average Coakley’s internal and Brown’s internal, and you’ve got Brown by about six or seven – not that far off from the Suffolk poll.

Can anyone say, “perfect storm?”

The more important question – if Brown DOESN’T win by 10 this thing will be dragged out for most of the year with recounts, legal challenges, voter fraud complaints, the discovery of a truckload of ballots that mysteriously “didn’t get counted for Coakley”, etc., etc. A two or three point margin would normally be good enough. But, not this time, I fear. The fraud in the White House will put Rahm on it 24/7 until Coakley “somehow” wins.

Funny thing is that the kid running it just graduated from UMass w/ a poli-sci degree. I don’t think he had any idea what was in store for him. He has been living at that office literally for weeks.

It may be the battle against the royalists at Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts, on April 19, 1775, redux.

And Rush talked about how dispirited conservatives were after Obama’s inauguration a year ago and how his speech at CPAC provided a spark that kept conservatism alive. And he mentioned that “others” contributed as well; I know he was talking about Sarah Palin and Mark Levin.

Good God Almighty – this woman knows no bounds of gaffedom.

In the intensifying Democratic precriminations game over who to blame if Coakley loses, here’s one for the blame Coakley camp: On another talk radio show, “Nightside With Dan Rea,” Coakley jabs Rudy Giuliani as a Yankee fan, then goes on to describe Brown supporter Curt Schilling, the great former Red Sox pitcher, as a Yankee fan as well.

The host sounds incredulous — “Curt Schilling? The Red Sox great pitcher of the bloody sock?” — and Coakley eventually reverses herself, but it’s an odd moment in a state that was transfixed by Schilling’s performance in the 2004 World Series, where he helped the Red Sox win for the first time since 1918.

And Rush talked about how dispirited conservatives were after Obama’s inauguration a year ago and how his speech at CPAC provided a spark that kept conservatism alive. And he mentioned that “others” contributed as well; I know he was talking about Sarah Palin and Mark Levin.

So if Scott Brown wins on the 19th give a little bit of the credit for his victory to El Rushbo, the #2 conservative in America.

I thank God for Rush, Glenn, Sean, Levin, etal. Fox News, Michelle Malkin, Hot Air! Just think where we’d be without these people! We’d all be wearing brown uniforms and goose-stepping in formation.

Allah to quote Scott Brown

“It’s not Kennedy’s seat, It’s not the Democrats seat, it’s the people’s seat”

The people are the ones that count!

Speaking of Scott Brown… I am a fan/friend of his on Facebook. He is encouraging everyone to use his “Scott Brown for Senate” picture as their own until election time. You might consider it! I did it!
