Video: Obama phones it in for Coakley

posted at 4:10 pm on January 14, 2010 by Allahpundit

Behold the palpable excitement of The One at being dragged into yet another state race on behalf of yet another almost impossibly awful Democratic candidate. This isn’t as terrible an idea as it seems: It’s not running on TV, where it would irritate independents, but merely online and in the inboxes of liberals on OFA’s mailing list. Everything depends on turnout, remember, so this should help get a few extra O-bots out to the polls. Besides, even Rasmussen found 52 percent support for ObamaCare among Massachusetts likely voters, so a pitch explicitly premised on passing the bill isn’t insane. Although it sure is hard to square with watching Brown’s numbers rise day by day as he runs around telling anyone who’ll listen that he’ll be the 41st vote to kill it.

To show you how much firepower the left has been forced to use on this race, note that Obama’s only the second Democratic president to weigh in. The Clenis has already booked his ticket to campaign with Coakley on Friday. All we need now is some CGI animation of JFK and St. Teddy in heaven with Jesus talking about how people should, er, ah, vote for Mah-tha. (In lieu of that, Teddy’s widow is cutting an ad now too.) Exit question: Hey, did you know that Scott Brown actually owns a time-share? Bastard.

Are you sure that is Jesus? I don’t think Jesus has horns and a tail.

I’m starting to believe he’s going to pull this off.

If he wins, he’s better win by a larger margin than Coleman beat Franken. If you catch my meaning. . .

Obama: “Help us take back the country”

HELLO! YOU HAVE MAJORITIES IN THE HOUSE SENATE AND YOU ARE THE PRESIDENT!!!

dip it in cider on January 14, 2010 at 4:43 PM

It’s the “US” word that tells you who HE is. When he says “help us” his supporters think they are a member of that “us”. Nope. The “us” is radical leftists, “people of color” Native Americans and EVERYONE else that the white man’s greed has taken advantage of. The guy has been speaking in ultra-left radical / Marxism-inspired Black Liberation Theology CODE for a long time and very few people have figured him out. Rush has, and I hope he keeps pounding the drum to expose this guy and his ilk.

Barack Hussein Obama has a REEEEALLY twisted and creepy set of ideas swimming around in that lightbulb head of his.

marklmail on January 14, 2010 at 4:55 PM

I have to wonder if Croakley really wanted Obama’s help.

She was probably afraid of being called a racist.

ConservativeTony on January 14, 2010 at 4:55 PM

I just gave Scott Brown some $$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Why not? Even a few bucks is a step toward stopping Obarfacare.

He can beat Coakley. Help push him over the top!

OmahaConservative on January 14, 2010 at 4:55 PM

Election fraud may not be an issue here as this was supposed to be a secure state and a secure seat. You have to register two weeks before an election to vote in it so they can’t manufacture voters all of a sudden.

It is about our level of turn out, their level of turnout and the fake voters they got on the books which probably is not a lot.

Holger on January 14, 2010 at 4:38 PM

If this election is the least bit close, it will be stolen by the democrats. That is what they do: lie, cheat, and steal. I can’t even imagine the shenanigans that have already begun in democrat precincts. I just can’t get my hopes up, because a close election will be stolen in plain sight, and no one will do a thing about it. I watched the voters of Minnesota go from “Franken stole the election!” to “Franken stole the election, but we’re just really tired of it going on so long so let’s just give it to him already.” Most depressing political event of my lifetime. I still can’t believe the guy’s a US Senator because a dem poll worker “found ballots in his car” — and they were all for Franken. Unreal, but that’s where US elections are now. The close ones will ALWAYS go to the democrat because they know how to cheat.

I’ve been listening intently to the video, but I’m still having trouble figuring out the dialect.

Senator Harry Reid. Paging Senator Harry Reid.

ConservativeTony on January 14, 2010 at 5:00 PM

Brown will not win this, but it will still be a real kick in the pants for libs. I love how desperate they are here.

But Brown won’t win. The race is too close for a republican to win, especially in such a democrat run state. Even if Brown gets more votes there will just be recounts until enough votes are “found” to put Coakley over the top. Hopefully other democrats and blue dogs will see this for what it is though and it will scare them away from Obama and Obamacare.

“We knew the problems we were taking on were formidable. And that change in Washington, real change that would turn back the special interests and make the concerns of everyday people the focus of government would not be quick or easy. And we were right.”

Can somebody, actually everybody, please remember this the next time someone from the administration brings out the overused, “we inherited a situation that was worse then we thought,” excuse!

Take a close look at the red couch Obama is sitting on, and the blue and white lamp over his left shoulder. Anyone recognize this furniture? Has Obama made a political campaign commercial from inside The White House?

Now that Obama has thrown himself into the fray, WHEN Coakley loses, Michelle can rightly say that she was never proud of Massachusettes, and liberal trolls will be free to call it a racist state.

TinMan13 on January 14, 2010 at 5:55 PM

no. If she wins slightly or even with “found” votes it shows that they are more vulnerable than they ever though even in the bluest of blue states. It shows that places like Nevada are almost hopeless for them. The media and dems will spin ANY victory as a humiliating defeat for the right, but behind closed doors they will be looking for fresh underwear.

They can and do steal close elections, but if it’s close in Mass. then it will probably be beyond their manipulation in most other places.

Now if Coakley wins by a landslide after all this close polling it may show they’ve taken election theft to a level where we are truly screwed.

Maybe we should think about filing ludicrous complaints against all democrat politicians in the Executive and Legislative Branches like they did to Sarah Palin. Fair Play and all that.

Holger on January 14, 2010 at 7:10 PM

Where is Coakley? The last video I could find of her was from the other night when her hatchet boy, Michael Meehan, purposefully took out that reporter and then lied out his progressive @$$ about it. I think they realize that she slips in the polls every time she’s in public. All the more reason to keep a large Army of reporters around her until the election.
