Obama to GOP: If you want to make this election about ObamaCare, let’s do it

posted at 8:36 pm on January 14, 2010 by Allahpundit

A vignette from today’s Democratic policy meeting, in which a guy whose obsession with universal health care has so destroyed his party that a Republican’s on the brink of taking Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat decides to double down for the midterms. Fun facts: Support for ObamaCare is down to 34/54 in today’s Quinnipiac poll and Republican “insiders” tell Hotline on average that they expect the GOP will gain 33 seats next year.

Well, according to Coakley “separation of church and state” extends to the emergency room:

“And the hits just keep on coming:

WBSM Radio Host Ken Pittman: Right, if you are a Catholic, and believe what the Pope teaches that any form of birth control is a sin. ah you don’t want to do that.

Martha Coakley: No we have a seperation of church and state Ken, lets be clear.

Ken Pittman: In the emergency room you still have your religious freedom.

Martha Coakley: (…stammering) The law says that people are allowed to have that. You can have religious freedom but you probably shouldn’t work in the emergency room.

Or as Red Mass Group sums it up, “There you have it folks. You should be denied a job because of your religious beliefs, because of laws dictated by the state. This is what Martha Coakley believes.”

It is kinda funny.

As if now after everything this past summer, after all the bribery of Democrats of Democrats wheeling and dealing and compromise – as if he would now back away from Obamacare.

He has to double-down on it. He’s backed himself and he’s allowed Pelosi and Reid to back him and the entire party into a corner. They can’t just say, “You know what, we need to start over.” They had that chance, have and continue to have that chance.

They HAVE to go forward and watching the train-wreck is most entertaining…

After drinking a potion of Saul Alinsky’s, Jeremiah Wright’s, Rahm Emanuel’s, David Axelrod’s, Bill Ayers’, Adolf Hitler’s, King George III, King Louis XVI and his own creation, Barack is transformed into the cruel, remorseless, pathological, misanthropic, pyromaniac Herr Hussein, representing the hidden side of Obama’s dual nature brought to the fore. Barack has many friends and has a pleasing personality, but as Herr Hussein he becomes more and more dictatorial, more and more scape goating, makes ever longer enemies lists, encourages demonization or political opponents and becomes ever more fascist like as time goes by as Herr Hussein grows in dominance. After taking this potion repetitively, he will no longer need to rely upon it to unleash his inner fascist demons.

I think this means that Obama has about twice the number of Yes Men surrounding him, and he really has no farking clue what is going on. Makes me wonder if he was actually speaking the truth back when he claimed he was unaware of the tea party protests and such.

What makes this especially baffling is that before it would just appear to be a reputation of ObamaCare if Brown just makes it close. Now if Brown wins, then it’s an outright and explicit reputation of ObamaCare in the Bluest of Blue States, simply on Obama’s terms. For a politically astute politician like the President is, I’m not sure what the upside to injecting himself and this escalatingly disastrous piece of legislation into this match-up is, but hey, I’ll take it.

He really thinks that 54% of the American people are “for the status quo, and for insurance companies over American families and businesses?” What a dim bulb. So the President of the United States is going to fight for the power to enslave Doctors, Nurses, and take control of hospitals, dictate the wages those Doctors and Nurses will be allowed to make, what kind of treatments they will preform. In other words, Obama wants to bring the Cuban health care system to the United States?

Health care is not a right. It is a service provided to those in need by humans who have spent years learning the skills needed to provide that service, and the President of the United States wants government to dictate who will benefit, who will receive that treatment, and who will pay for it?
