Obama to GOP: If you want to make this election about ObamaCare, let’s do it

posted at 8:36 pm on January 14, 2010 by Allahpundit

A vignette from today’s Democratic policy meeting, in which a guy whose obsession with universal health care has so destroyed his party that a Republican’s on the brink of taking Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat decides to double down for the midterms. Fun facts: Support for ObamaCare is down to 34/54 in today’s Quinnipiac poll and Republican “insiders” tell Hotline on average that they expect the GOP will gain 33 seats next year.

I SWEAR THE CALIPH IS A CONSERVATIVES’ NIGHTMARE / DREAM COME TRUE….

Nightmare for the nation:
Name the topic / issue….Obamacare, Cap & Tax, EPA Regs and mandates, Czars, attacks on banks and CEOs’….etc….

Dream for Conservatives:
Has the potential to mobilize the Conservative nation like no one since I can’t even imagine. Thanks to Michelle she told us Barack would NOT let us go back to our normal lives.

So Curse / Thank you Oh American Jesus….

Is Obama for real? I mean, has he no perception of reality and the political environment. Is this what his advisors are telling him?

There is a serious disconnect with that guy. Pathological, even.

pugwriter on January 14, 2010 at 11:12 PM

AAAAAAAAARGHHHHH! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I’ve HAD IT. This sham of a president knows how to do one thing and one thing only: CAMPAIGN. He is the dog that chases the truck every day and he finally caught it. Watcha gonna do now?

I am SO SICK of the “status quo” campaign slogan that millions of idiots swallowed. Does anyone here want to continue as is? Hell no! But doing the wrong thing in a hurry is EXPONENTIALLY worse than doing the right thing with some thought and responsibility behind it.

Screw you Mr. President. Screw you.

I think it’s hilarious that the Barry et al keep slamming the insurance companies, when those companies are on their side along with Big Pharma. Basically, all of the “special interests” that 0bama0 keeps telling us he’s defending us from are on board with this POS.

WarEagle01 on January 14, 2010 at 11:17 PM

He’s starting to realize that a lot of people are starting to see him as a big puss on a lot of levels. He has to start to act tough…but he can only pull it off if its just his mouth, a teleprompter and a camera.

I want to see him fail.

i understand that he has offered “political cover” to those Dems voting for bamacare by traveling across the nation speaking in their behalf. I hope he does just that. It will be the kiss of death for many of them.

Great comments everyone.

Just gonna throw out the theory that Obama got his ass kicked a lot in grade school and feels the need to prove himself.
flipflop on January 14, 2010 at 9:10 PM

My theory is that his grandfather was a real pr*ck (and may have kicked his ass). He’s the one who was great pals with Barry’s perverted communist mentor, Frank Marshall. There was a lot of drinking involved. I vaguely recall some story of gramps treating his grandmother badly.

Barry has this way of talking to us as if we’re children who need to be scolded and sent to time out. He talks about “cleaning up the mess” if we’ll shut up and get out of the way. He gets furious if we don’t follow orders. Yep, methinks Gramps was a nasty martinet, and that’s his role model for governing.

GW also threw down the gauntlet on giving millions of illegal immigrants US citizenship with a massive “Immigration Reform.” As I recall, he boasted to reporters: “I’ll see you at the signing.”

IMHO, that was the beginning of the end for GW. Now, Obama has made the same mistake with a massive “Health-Care Reform.”

Fine. If Obama wants to double down on the Massachusetts election, we’ll double down on donations to Brown.

Obama is acting like he can walk into the octagon and is not gonna get ground and pounded by the GOP.

He’s in for a big surprise.

Yeah Obama, let’s have the battle on C-span or in some retirement community where they can react to your giving cadillac plans to your union thugs, but taking them away from the old foks that need them -before they meet your death panels.

Let’s debate Congress and the president having to adopt these plans first for a five year period to prove they’re intent and their comforting lies.

Don L on January 15, 2010 at 6:14 AM

This election is about a choice as to which road america wants to travel -the failed Marist road to hell or the return to the foundation of our great nation under the principles outlined in our constitution. Let’s have that debate!

In circumstances like this, people usually say, “Be careful what you ask for, you may get it.” That expression would be lost on our inexperienced Messiah….it wasn’t in the book “Rules for Radicals”.

PappyD61 on January 14, 2010 at 10:43 PM

I think the nightmares you list also mobilize the Democrats against the Democrats. While some may call themselves Democrats, quite a few don’t support the agenda being pushed. Need proof….watch Mass. Senate race. The latest poll shows 17% of Democrats crossing over to vote for Brown. If that occurs the Democrat party will be in a million pieces.

Next Tuesday is a high stakes election with big implications nationwide. I am praying the Mass. voters realize their history and prize their liberties and vote to maintain their rights!

Rndguy on January 15, 2010 at 7:44 AM

Debating the PrezBo on ObamaCare is pointless.

“There is no coverage for illigal immigrants”

3 days later, the language is added, but the whispers allude to a blanket amnesty before the benefits begin.

If he can make points about a plan, then add them in later, then it isn’t a debate, it’s negotiation. Get it right!

Phil-351 on January 15, 2010 at 8:31 AM

Let’s go then MF. Arrogant POS. He thinks us slaves are too dumb to do anything. Keep pushing, bro.

hogfat on January 15, 2010 at 8:46 AM

He says this and almost in the same breath the unions get a deal that will force some taxpayers to foot the costs for some other taxpayers health plans. Whatever is the matter with these Dems? Don’t they understand even the most rudimentary sense of fairness? don’t try and tell me they are not just plain stupid! What planet do they think they inhabit? One where liberals can use the rest of us for food I guess!!

jeanie on January 15, 2010 at 8:59 AM

I (gag) viewed the video and truly can not understand how anyone believes ObamaCare will actually provide them the health care coverage they needs. All President Obama and dem have done, under the guise of Health Care reforms, is to insure the public turn over their bodies for government research.

Health Care Reform must first start cleaning up the existing system of legal irregularities that allow the Provider to take you to the cleaners vice the hospital or appropriate clinic.

Go ahead, Mr. President. You deserve it. 51% of the Americans know it: You, Teh Won!

Defend the precious “Kennedy Seat”. It’s a seat only for a Democrat.

Tell the MA people about your Obamacare, which is heavenly superior compared to dying RomneyCare. Tell the nation, Mr. President. Strangle, err,,, defeat them all … fight Brown, Mr. President! Brown must not win!

Go to the Bay State, Mr. President!

It’s a Democrat stronghold.

He admits to doing a little coke and couple of other drugs. Seems he is getting the Clinton treatment, but drugs other than weed because he is seriously suspending reality in regards to this health takeover bill. He’s calling out the Republicans and they are already outside beating him over the head with the bill. And I thought my 5 year old had an active imagination.
