It’s come to this: Scott Brown’s a “far-right tea-bagger,” says Chuck Schumer
posted at 5:53 pm on January 13, 2010 by Allahpundit
“Tea-bagger.” Now being used by U.S. Senators. Not even in private conservation either, a la Reid or Chuckles himself when he dropped the word “bitch” on a flight attendant a few weeks ago.
This comes from … a fundraising e-mail.
I got the message below from Ted Kennedy’s widow, Vicki, and I wanted to make sure you saw it.
Martha Coakley is running to fill the rest of Ted Kennedy’s term, and her opponent is a far-right tea-bagger Republican.
It would be bad enough to lose this seat — and Democrats’ sixtieth vote in the Senate — right before the final health care reform vote. But it would be even worse for the decisive “no” vote to come from Ted Kennedy’s old seat.
Please note: This is the same guy who spent weeks wetting his pants during his first Senate run when Al D’Amato called him a “putzhead” in a private meeting. I know Durbin’s probably next in line for majority leader when, not if, Nevada finally takes care of Reid, but Schumer’s really his heir apparent. Same nastiness, same cynicism, same snide, two-bit demagoguery. The difference is that Reid apologized for the “negro” comment whereas this will be defended with “who, me?” little-boy fake innocence about the double meaning of the word.
Bill Kristol’s spot on: “The Democratic campaign now consists to a remarkable degree simply of screaming that Brown equals Bush/Republican/right-wing.” Via Weasel Zippers, below you’ll find the latest manifestation of that strategy, such as it is. We all saw it coming and now it’s here. Exit question: At just $77.89 per donation, there sure are a lot of “teabaggers” out there, huh?

If Scott Brown some how wins this election Obama is finished as a President. They won’t have their fillibuster proof Senate and other Senators will run for the hills. They might not pass health care.

Now that realllllly pisses me off.
Who’s got the link to Browns site. Time to send more money.
Knucklehead on January 13, 2010 at 6:34 PM
Let me remind everyone of two things about Schumer: 1) He has boasted that the end of traditional values is here and 2) has embraced the gay rights agenda. My distinctly Christian take on this will drive Allahpundit crazy but these things are connected. Contempt for Christian values is also underlying the use of the “teabagger” comments. Democrats must be giddy being able to use a homosexual label when referring to Christian Conservatives.
By undermining the Christian world view and belittling those who hold to it, Democrats are eliminating the last vestige of resistance to their Totalitarian agenda. This is the case because Christian’s believe in an objective truth that can check governmental power. Undermine that and the State becomes all powerful.
Blue Collar Todd on January 13, 2010 at 6:34 PM
Nothing better than to have Schumer replace Reid and ascend to the face of the Senate Democrats. He is far more off-putting to Americans than the drooling, grandfatherly Reid.
Plus, he’s light-skinned and speaks in that nasally dialect that’s appealing in maybe one of the 57 states.

Keep it up with the “Tea Bagging” label Democrats. You’re going to need all the Health Care you can Mustard.

Thats the best ad $1M can buy? Scott Browns are much better. They practically write themselves.
ctmom on January 13, 2010 at 6:35 PM
well it IS Boston country, perfect for the people in MASS to throw a Tea Party
but it is the PEOPLE OF MASSACHUSETTS not the Tea Partiers elsewhere that will ultimately make this call…
God Bless them, I hope they vote Scott Brown for all of us

Holger on January 13, 2010 at 6:38 PM
Sounds like Schmucky Schumer is getting nervous, especially when he stoops as low as he has as of late to prevent any possibility of his beloved Supermajority status to go sailing out the proverbial window.
Maybe he should concentrate more on the possibility that his party is going to lose more than its Supermajority status shortly, especially when November rolls around.

If I were Ted Kennedy’s widow, Vicki, I think I would be quite vexed to be associated with Schumer’s behaviour.

Good point. You’d think of all places some would have a little more respect for things inspired by the Boston Tea Party.
But then, you have to pay attention in history class to get that, and these liberals clearly didn’t.

I always have to wonder how these Democrats are apparently so familiar with the term. I mean, Gloria Vanderbilt’s kid I understand. That guy’s taken more balls to the chin than Hughie Jennings. But Chuck U. Schumer? Well, he is somewhat effeminate, even for a Democrat. I guess it’s possible.

Mitch McConnell should demand that Schumer be censored for lowering the decorum of the Senate with his use of vulgar, disgusting, sexual slurs.
By now, everyone knows what “teabagging” is, even if you live in a cave you know what it means. The Democrats have turned a disgusting homosexual sex act into a slur for their political opponents and if the Republican leadership doesn’t take a stand against it now and inform Americans of what the Democrats are doing, then calling Republicans “teabaggers” is going to become the norm and everyone will be laughing behind their backs because they know what “teabagging” is.
Pretty hard to win elections when your a laughingstock.

If I may add this…IMHO if Scott Brown losses this race by any margin 10 points or less Obama is finished as a President and the Dems will run for the hills. If Brown wins the Democrat party will be busted in a millions pieces that even all the Kings men can’t put back together.
