My favorite part was where the intelligence community would NOW follow up All the leads. Not just some of the leads.
So obviously the CIA has been ignoring, passing, short shrifting various and sundry leads all along.

Now, here’s a thought: Instead of an undermanned, over managed, handcuffed agency that tries to chase down the plausible/important/emergency leads with best effort and (more often than not) get to the “wet” link at the end, Thanks to the ‘Won’ they get to chase down every stupid, psychophant, raving nut job, jihardi wannabe, that some idiot in the WH basement blanket/bomb emails that somebody’s third cousin’s neighbor heard a rumor about.

The conversation about Obama’s performance is whether he CALLS this al-Qaeda thing a “war” or “contingency overseas operations”. The actions are the same though. Drone attacks, special forces attacks, helping other failing countries fight al-Qaeda, patrols, airport (and other) security…

Americans are too concerned about Obama not using the word “war”… very mature conversation indeed.

So he went ahead and called it explicitly a “war”, even though he shouldn’t have (in my opinion). His speech would have been just as good, and probably better, if he didn’t mention that 3-letter word.

Yes, the buck stops with you, President Toonces. But that is a fairly abstract statement of fact, isn’t it?

It’s as if he said, “I take full responsibility for the failure, but do not intend to take any action to fix it.”

He’s the Manchurian Candidate, come to life and in the setting of reality. He is the realization of the Liberal dream of a chastened, punished America. Don’t listen to his words — watch what he does. His actions all tend to the diminishment, embarrassment, and weakening of the United States. How can you say that is not the intended result, when all his actions tend in the same direction? That it’s a coincidence? C’mon!

With Obama, he spreads out misery. This particular speech was spot on, in my opinion. He finally hit the sweet spot.

I honestly did feel better after hearing him. He sounded as though he “gets” what went wrong, what needs to happen, and his own accountability. He didn’t blame Bush.

Now, the watch is truly on his turf.

Nope. His handlers will not allow it. They live in mortal fear of what he might say in that two or three seconds, between the em-m-ms and ah-h-hs.

If somebody ever figures out how to hack TOTUS on the fly these people are all toast, because POTUS will read anything that shows up on TOTUS. His brain is not processing what he is reading fast enough to avoid such a disaster.
