Press corps grills Gibbs: Um, didn’t Obama totally shamelessly lie about C-SPAN?

Reminds me of the time Tapper coolly yet cruelly pressed Gibbs to defend Biden’s sub-moronic advice to New Yorkers about avoiding city subways during swine-flu season. There is, and can be, no defense here, and everyone in the room knows it. The point of asking is simply to make Gibbs look constipated — which, of course, it does. In fact, the best he can do by way of an answer is to mumble that The One wants a bill on his desk as soon as possible, an implicit admission that the White House is prepared to sacrifice all its gauzy promises about transparency on the altar of finally ramming this travesty through. But then, we already knew that.

Greta has been on this health care issue like a hot potato. Espically getting a few republicans to sit down with Zero and go through this bill line by line. Greta has taken everything Zero has said and asking the tough questions although she’s not getting very many answers from the dems. The republicans that have sent letters to Zero to sit down and go through the bill there has been zero response from Zero. Greta is doing a great job on this. This and the economy Greta is grilling these guys both the republicans and democrats.

1. Clinton committed perjury in front of a Federal Grand Jury, which is a felony offense. The normal prison term for this offense is approximately 36 months (3 years) in Federal Prison.
2. Early in his pResidency, Clinton had his Justice Department successfully prosecute a female Federal employee (VA) for…lying under oath about sex..
He was above the law. She wasn’t.

We teach our children, starting at a very young age, to not lie. If they do, it has consequences.

I saw that press briefing today, as well as yesterday’s, and the press corps appear to be very frustrated. Many of them actually have been trying to get him to expound on his condescending non-answers but they eventually give up and just ask a lame vanilla question so they at least have something to report.

I remember well a story I learned as a child, a boy that just wanted a “little more pie, just a taste” and when dinner rolled around, there was no more pie to be had.

A bit OT – but can someone help me? I was watching Fox News at the Y today (which I really have to stop doing – since I listen on my head phones and cuss at the TV a lot – looking like Tourettes Gone Wild on the eliptical machine). Around 1:30 Megan somebody (one of the afternoon hosts) set up a little debate between someone from Bush’s National Security team and someone from Obama’s. I was more intent on my workout than on names. The douche from the current administration actually said something to the effect of “there will be small incidences of terrorism, mall shootings and the like – but that’s just the way it is and we have to get used to it”. Did anyone else catch this? I wish I could see it again – I know my quote is not exact – but I was so disgusted that I actually stopped cold and stared at the TV with my mouth open. Help me find this clip, please – before I lose my mind!!
