Video: Reality-show idiots make blogger weep for mankind
posted at 9:13 pm on December 17, 2009 by Allahpundit
Nothing I can say will prepare you for it so I’ll just quote Jonah Goldberg, who wrote the following before this episode of Leno aired, “Even if they all put their heads together, it’s doubtful they could beat a carnival chicken at Tic-Tac-Toe.” Little did he know. Don’t pretend like you don’t know who they are, either. You’re watching the show. We’re all watching the show.
The best part is at the end, but if you can’t wait that long, at least watch to the point where they show the picture of Biden. I’ve long suspected it was true but not until tonight was I certain: China’s total victory is assured.

Snooki isn’t the type of girl you take home…take to a cheap motel, yes…Home? No!

And this, ladies and gents, is how Barack Hussein Obama got elected.

txag92 on December 17, 2009 at 10:59 PM
Is there a possibility that your sense of humor was mistaken for your tonsils when you were younger?
I mean- seriously. Facing some of the utter crap some of us have had to put up with this year, if laughing at a skit on Leno’s show can make us forget that for a couple of minutes, just where in the hell is the hurt to you? Frankly, you take your scolding and stick it where the sun doesn’t shine. Which is likely just about anywhere in your house.
BillH on December 17, 2009 at 11:00 PM
I think I am safe in saying this; these people are too dumb to vote, they couldn’t find the polling place. But, wait, ACORN will register them and somehow they will vote.
Mirimichi on December 17, 2009 at 11:05 PM
Did you catch the beginning?
One of those geniuses is from Staten Island. Another is from Providence, RI, and a third is from a town in the Hudson Valley.
In other words, none of them are from New Jersey.
YYZ on December 17, 2009 at 11:07 PM
The UN is headquartered in NYC. Reagan was a US president. The pope is head of the Roman Catholic Church worldwide. And Gaddafi lives in Africa. I’m not getting how any of these “concerned strictly European matters.”
Which one of the contestants were you?
I wish he’d asked them all one final question: who did they vote for in the last election.
CJ on December 17, 2009 at 11:08 PM
Having now watched three hours of thise clusterfark, I am gobsmacked by this fact:
No one punched Snooki in the face until episode 3.

EA_MAN on December 17, 2009 at 11:12 PM
You’re lookin’ at the furure President, Speaker of the House and Senate Majority Leader.
In fact, as dumb as they are, they could replace Obama, Pelosi and Reid TODAY.
Tony737 on December 17, 2009 at 11:26 PM
Morons. And no, I have never watched that show.
csdeven on December 17, 2009 at 11:28 PM
And these are the people who are explaining to ME the state of the world before the election. They couldn’t pick Ahmadinejad out of a picture (didn’t even know who he was), but boy did they have an answer for everything.
Well done, The Daily Show and your ilk. This is what you produce.
mjk on December 17, 2009 at 11:32 PM
Whether they are really that dumb or just acting…would it be entertaining if they answered the questions correctly? Do you think they show the people who get the answers right on jaywalking? It’s usually a trick, the same reason people like Palin and Gretchen Carlson talk all hokey. People like things that don’t threaten them, superior intellects hurt their self worth, same reason why bullies who couldn’t string a decent sentence together go after nerds.
LevStrauss on December 17, 2009 at 11:43 PM
Mike Judge’s “Idiocracy” sprung to life. As a matter of fact, that movie didn’t go nearly far enough but the looks of things.
NTropy on December 17, 2009 at 11:47 PM
I gotta admit the Lionel Ritchie answer was pretty hilarious..!! Almost too good – I really suspect a little help from the show’s writers on that one..
But the thought of Daffy Qaddafi and Lionel Ritchie being seperated at birth is an image that won’t soon leave my head.
HeIsSailing on December 18, 2009 at 12:03 AM
i’m very proud to say that i didn’t know who these people were (i saw it last night, tuned in in the middle)
i always wonder if these types of things are “skits”…I mean really, they can’t be that stupid. Frank Sinatra, New Jersey?
please.
UN, in albany? please, that’s a laugh line…..isn’t it?
r keller on December 18, 2009 at 12:11 AM
Nope, never saw the show, and now I guess I never will.
4shoes on December 18, 2009 at 12:11 AM
Yet another in an long line of reasons why the networks are in a ratings power dive. Maybe the people who want to rid Mother Gaia of human beings are right after all. Stupidity is now evidently a virtue.
gordo on December 18, 2009 at 12:22 AM
This is the end result of years and years of liberalism run amok in our public school system. Glad to see my tax dollars going towards producing such fine young men and women.
long_cat on December 18, 2009 at 12:28 AM
That actually hurt to watch, I mean, I’m actually holding my head now.

Got a mouse in your pocket?
2.1 million viewers.
You know how many people live in this country right?
Stephen M on December 18, 2009 at 12:31 AM
WTF!!!
Are you tellin’ me that I put my frickin’ life on the line in the Army back in ’68 fightin’ communists in RVN to make a “safe world” for morons like this to flourish and breed?
What an incredible waste of time and effort!
J1had psychopaths will have no problem butcherin g these dolts. Thank God I don’t have grandchildren. I wouldn’t want them to suffer the depravation and injustice that these stupid jackals are doomed to bring upon themselves at the hands of the world’s despots.
They may know every app on their I-phone, but they are hopelessly STUPID beyond belief.
Their parents and grandparents should be ashamed for interjecting these mutants into the gene pool.
bannedbyhuffpo on December 18, 2009 at 12:32 AM
No, I have never seen “the show,” nor do I care about it at all. But I’ll say this, these folks aren’t quite as stupid as some other Jaywalking people that have been on. Seriously, as bad as this is, I’ve seen worse.
Pilgrimsarbour on December 18, 2009 at 12:46 AM
It is beyond ironic that these are the idiots that will sit around talking about how stupid Southern people are.
Definitely a target group for ACORN.
Baxter Greene on December 18, 2009 at 12:59 AM
OK, they’re so ignorant it almost hurts to know they are American, but I gotta admit I LMAO. Sadly funny.
Jaibones on December 18, 2009 at 1:04 AM
Ahhhhhh, America’s youth – or as I like to call them ‘Job Security’.
Snooki was well trained to hate Cheney. She buzzed right in on that one. Clueless everywhere else.
Mr Purple on December 18, 2009 at 1:16 AM
Seriously, AP?!?! You watch this stupid show?I don\’t watch this show. but unfortunately, I do know who they are.

Can someone please explain to me why it’s okay to make fun of Italians, show them in the absolute worst light, but God help you if you do this with any other group?
chris999 on December 18, 2009 at 3:46 AM
^ A great commentary on the public school system. +1
“In the first place, God made idiots. That was for practice. Then he made school boards.” -Mark Twain
Well, let’s hope the “Jersey Shore” trio have- at some point in their short lives – read this bumper sticker:
Learn from your parents’ mistakes: use birth control!
ReagansRight on December 18, 2009 at 4:17 AM
Ouch.
Brain hurts too much to comment any further.
ambuldog on December 18, 2009 at 6:33 AM
Nice depiction of the Democrats who are the future of this country.
drjohn on December 18, 2009 at 6:54 AM
Yep.
And AP, not all of us have to “pretend” we don’t know who these idiots are. I’d never even heard of their show before watching this (thankfully). You really need to get up off your couch, turn off the t.v., and get out more.
AZCoyote on December 18, 2009 at 7:12 AM
lighten up! Its been years since I laughed that hard. Old Blue Eyes! If they missed that question the mob would send them to bed without pasta for the next ten years. Biden, that’s just a repressed memory. I didn’t know who he was until Leno remminded me, damn him.
chicken thief on December 18, 2009 at 7:21 AM
Tell that to white Southern Christian males. Contrary to how they are depicted in the media, not all of us live in doublewides with a sofa on the front porch and a hound dog in the yard.
As to the Italian idiots in this clip…. They are awful people bring shame on the entire human race, not just their heritage. That’s why, I’m sure, Jersey Shore will go into multiple seasons.
highhopes on December 18, 2009 at 7:21 AM
Lionel Ritchie… too funny.
stenwin77 on December 18, 2009 at 7:44 AM
I don’t have to watch the show. I live where the show is being taped. These sh*tferbrains are only mild stereotypes of the genuine guido trash who make summers at the Jersey Shore miserable.
bloviator on December 18, 2009 at 8:06 AM
Who are they?
mr.blacksheep on December 18, 2009 at 8:19 AM
Crap. I hope they don’t vote.
mr.blacksheep on December 18, 2009 at 8:22 AM
Sad to say this… but thankful Leno is there to show that Italian-Americans can be coherent.
Ugh.
And not knowing Sinatra? My parents wouldn’t let me back in the house.
mankai on December 18, 2009 at 8:27 AM
I just wish the rest of us didn’t know Biden’s name, either.
RegularJoe on December 18, 2009 at 8:30 AM
You can dragnet any society and produce morons, especially if there’s money in the net for them. The difference here is that people can actually make money being morons.
Our taste in voyeurism sure has changed.

I want to comment,but can’t find the words.First,Gorebot’s poetry(?),now this.WTF has happened to America?
DDT on December 18, 2009 at 9:14 AM
The fact they had the picture of Lionel Richie put up instantly after her answer shows it was completely staged.
JeffinSac on December 18, 2009 at 9:24 AM
Oh and
“Don’t pretend like you don’t know who they are, either. You’re watching the show. We’re all watching the show.”
Sorry never seen it or have any interest in seeing it and 24 is the only TV show I ever record and watch now. Okay I do enjoy an episode of the Simpson’s or South Park now and then. :-)
JeffinSac on December 18, 2009 at 9:28 AM
Truly incredulous that educators demand pay raises to produce more incorrigible numskulls such as these. Even more insightful is that these educators continue to receive pay raises for just breathing.
Let’s cut down on greenhouse gases and ask those who educate such imbeciles to stop breathing.

Meh, not the worst I’ve ever seen, but I suppose it’s up there. Makes you worry more about the people who watch these “role models” and wonder what they could possibly learn from tuning in.
And, no, not all of us have watched the show. Indeed, I’d have to question one’s conservative bona fides for being hooked on such cultural garbage. AP, I can suggest a few good books for you to read instead–maybe even let you borrow one.
cackcon on December 18, 2009 at 10:03 AM
If Snooki wears a bikini in that show, I’m watchin.
Alden Pyle on December 18, 2009 at 10:22 AM
The part about Cheney had tears rolling down my face, I was laughing so hard. Either that, or I was weeping for our nation’s future.
Anna on December 18, 2009 at 10:33 AM
I do not know if I have tears in my eyes from laughing or from dispair.
Idiocracy is not just a movie any more.
mechkiller_k on December 18, 2009 at 10:35 AM
I hope I’ve done a better job with my sons and their knowledge of what is happening in the world. This was unbelievable.
Sorry if I offend someone, but isn’t the first clue that her name is “Snooki”?
Blaise on December 18, 2009 at 10:40 AM
It’s frightening that people like this are everywhere.
Lionel Ritchie. Priceless
BobMbx on December 18, 2009 at 11:24 AM
Is it only me that didn’t know any of the culture questions? Wizard? Blue Eyes? Those Italian names in the beginning?

/facepalm
spmat on December 18, 2009 at 11:48 AM
wow.
I can just imagine the conversation somehow getting hunting, turkeys and jfk all mixed up…
Yo, so Dick Cheney almost shot Bush hunting turkeys.
That was for real? I saw the movie, I thought it was b_llsh_t.
rollthedice on December 18, 2009 at 11:52 AM
Good grief – please speak for yourself. I live in NJ and don’t watch it. What is truely sad is that those people are in the age group who think they should be deciding how the country is run. Three reasons to change the voting age to at least 35.
katiejane on December 18, 2009 at 12:07 PM
Nope.
Haven’t watched a minute of that show. MTV is a sewer.
Reminds me of that Calvin & Hobbes strip, where Calvin says “This show would insult a six-year old.
And I oughta know!”
dissent555 on December 18, 2009 at 12:23 PM
They have about 5 or 6 hours after the show’s taped to add things like that.
Sharke on December 18, 2009 at 12:35 PM
For the first time in my life I am ashamed to be of Italian heritage…
No doubt these three rocket scientists/enlightened ones voted for Obama as only people this moronic would vote for such an empty suit! I’d sell them the Brooklyn Bridge but I doubt they could muster the brain power to know where said bridge is located!
Being as stupid as they are should hurt…
Liberty or Death on December 18, 2009 at 1:08 PM
What……. I have no idea who these idiots are, nor do I care. As for “the show” no WE are not all watching” I have never seen it & have no plans what so ever to see that piece of crap program!
Confederate on December 18, 2009 at 1:57 PM
Tell that to white Southern Christian males. Contrary to how they are depicted in the media, not all of us live in doublewides with a sofa on the front porch and a hound dog in the yard….
highhopes on December 18, 2009 at 7:21 AM
There is a reason why we white southern christian males don’t do more defending of ourselves or our region. We don’t want idiots like this to think the south is as pleasant as it is and maybe show up!
We prefer that these morons keep thinking of the south as the LAST place they’d even like to visit. So, if you please, STOP telling them the truth about it!!!
runawayyyy on December 18, 2009 at 2:26 PM
I strongly suspect Leno writes and casts for actors to play the stupid people on his shows. I base that on nobody ever suing the Tonight Show for how stupid they look.

RedNewEnglander on December 18, 2009 at 3:53 PM
People are dying all over the world, all the time. I don’t see how that has any relevance to my ability to unwind for 5 minutes and laugh at a few idiots who have been steaming in a stultifying tribalism pressure cooker.
Mark Jaquith on December 20, 2009 at 2:31 PM
I’m not watching the show. I gave away my TV. Even back in the days when I WAS into rock, I couldnt stand MTV. I knew it was just a matter of time before rock music became a joke. When anything good gets too popular it gets destroyed.
