Video: “Iron Man 2″ trailer

Looks spectacularly good, although so did the first one and that wasn’t incentive enough to get me to see it. (You know why.) If anything, this makes me more inclined to see “Avatar”: If the F/X there are “groundbreaking” compared to the mind-boggling F/X of flicks like this, even a three-hour sermon on eco-consciousness might be bearable.
Third year in a row, by the way, that an “Iron Man” trailer has appeared on Hot Air. What can I say? If the formula works, stick with it. Just ask Robert Downey Jr.

Blowback

Captain America has been brought back from the dead in the mini series currently running titled Captain America:Reborn.
When DC or Marvel “kills” off a character, they usually don’t stay dead for long. DC “killed” off Bruce Wayne and they are going to bring him back next year.

This has been going on since Dick Sprang stopped drawing Batman circa 1960. When Time-Warner goes under I hope some nonpolitical geek buys Superman-DC National Comics ™ and revives the medium that “relevancy” killed.

“captain america” and “thor” in 2011
“avengers” in 2012 (iron man/hulk/black widow/thor/nick fury/war machine/hawkeye)
“avengers” might be too busy. that’s a lot of characters. admittedly most of the character backgrounds will already be established..and rumored to be mostly the same actors.
am I right in guessing Scarlett Johansson is Black Widow? if not, they sure missed an opportunity.
Hawkeye…hmmmm…I’m stumped on how they will play him. on a page=cool. on screen…ehhh.
and if they put David Hasslehoff as nick fury, a casting agent will have to die to balance the cosmic scales. seriously.
