I caught his interview last night with Hannity and thought for sure we’d posted the viral vid of him rallying a crowd of conservatives in Florida a few months ago, but nope. Somehow it slipped through the cracks. Here it is, several weeks late, along with the Hannity clip. Most of you will already be familiar with the story of his military discharge so let’s focus on his congressional run instead: Last year, facing a national Democratic hurricane, he lost by 10 points to Ron Klein. This year, as a blossoming tea-party icon, he’s got a Republican hurricane behind him. Toss in the earned media he’s going to get from people like Hannity and Beck and he’s basically running the same race in the same state as Marco Rubio. How’s that working out thus far?

I joke with my husband that I would like for one of us to run for some small Congressional District somewhere in East or West Texas. Then we could raise hell in Congress for a term or two and retire with lifetime health benefits (attractive for us since we are self-employed). We always wonder if we would catch the soul-killing disease!

I said nothing about West being an oreo. Actually, I quite like him. However, he is bad for business for Rush Limbaugh who is the defacto head of the Republican Party.
Limbaugh has a huge following and has made his money on riding the fine line of racism. He is a race peddler and as a consequence the GOP has no place for minorities of any type.
Not only that, but most of the hatred for the President is race based as evidenced by the Birthers. Therefore, my conclusion is that there is no place for someone like Col. West in the Republican Party. It simply is not going to happen. Now, David Duke would certainly be welcome but West…no way in hell.

The quarterly Federal Election Commission financial disclosure reports as of 12/31 for all Federal candidates will be released in mid-January. These reports will be used to determine which candidates have raised enough money to fund a viable campaign.
After 12/31, the next important financial disclosure reporting deadline is March 31. But March 31 may be too late for candidates to prove the strength of their campaigns before the primary election season begins in the spring.
Please take the time to decide which candidates you want to support and send your donantions before Deceber 31!
