I am trying to wrap my mind around this concept. The Members of Congress are stupid and would not understand the bill after they read it.Sometime back a Congressional Democrat said the people were to stupid to understand if they read the bill. Now if the People and the Congress Members are too stupid to understand this bill it leads me to wonder: “WHO IN H–L WAS SMART ENOUGH TO WRITE THE BILL”?

They can just stop the reading to vote on the defense bill. Then resume the reading after the vote.

Probably, however I have to question why any RIGHT thinking Senator would vote on any bill without having it read out loud for the congressional record.

If ObowmaoCare is over 2,000 pages, let’s see how many bills get read. Every bill read adds to the 30 hour stall.

As an Okie from his congressional district (yes, I know he is my senator), I can assure you he is in no danger of ever losing an election. For those who know OCB, you know I brag on him and rub Coburn and Inhofe in your facdes every chance I get. However, in the last election, the national unions and national Dems spent more money than that from Oklahoma. That’s OK; If they wnat to waste their money that way, it is better for the other conservatives. Yes, I give to Dr. Coburn. Yes it would be nice to give to his campaign, but not because he needs it to get re-elected. Send him money to show support for his kind of conservatism. If he gets more money than dirty Harry, that will send the proper message.

We should have been doing this all along. I know Coburn cut his deal with Reid, and I understand why, but Reid has changed the rules of the game. The full bill needs a forced reading.

By the way — and nobody ever mentions this – we have 6 retiring Senators. I’m acquainted with one, unfortnately. But where are the other guys? Why are they not causing as many problems as possible? We don’t hear a peep from them, when really, with nothing to lose, the could be doing some of the heaving lifting.

Anyone with any insights on why our “lame duck” (if you will) Senators are not causing holy hell?

My senators, Coburn and Inhofe, always make me proud to be an Oklahoman. They are always out there taking the fight to the dems, and I appreciate all that they do. Thanks, guys! I just wish we had many more like them. I just wrote them both yesterday and told them to at least slow this bill down and downright stop it if possible.
