Video: Palin gets revenge on master thespian William Shatner

Yeah, he’s pals with Rush. But even so — he had it coming.
Somewhere Chris Matthews is watching this and thinking, in all seriousness, “She can read.”

Yes, look at the way they hide their true nature. Showing a false face to the world, too frightened to reveal who they really are. I blame society.

Very good point. Nowhere near the “MeMeMeMeMeeeee” emphasis that stands out in photos of His Obamaness. :P Thanks for sharing the link.
You did notice that the ones she picked to share on her FB page did tend to have a good bit of Todd in them. Of course, considering the former First Dude’s gorgeous smiles as he fed his son and talked with the Wounded Warriors, her choice of photos was VERY understandable. ;)
Todd is hot, is great with kids, is hot, can fish, fly, hunt and race snowmachines, is hot and is not threatened by a strong woman. Did I mention that he’s hot???
She is one lucky, lucky woman!!
Was a very engaging, fun bit on Conan’s show.

As an aside, did you know Anita Dunn was from Alaska? She’s part of the Alaska Mafia that has attacked Sarah, along with Obama’s campaign chief-of-staff, now WH adviser, Pete Rouse. Rouse has been an insider in DC for 30 plus years, and only very briefly lived in Alaska, but STILL votes absentee there.
Anyhow, Anita may be leaving, but her husband is taking a top job in the WH. By the way, his law firm, Perkins-Coie has also been involved with smearing Sarah, big time. They are Obama’s personal attorneys and represent him in all of the challenges to his eligibility.
Van Jones just took a job with Podesta, so absolutely nothing changed there. The only way to be rid of these people is to be rid of Obama.
You know, Thomas Jefferson advocated having a revolution every 20 years. Thought it a good thing. We’re only 213 years overdue. I think it may be time to listen to Jefferson!

Good Lord! The Palin worship is reaching the same levels as the Obama worship the Paliniacs despise.
Psst she quit the governorship – her only true claim to executive experience. If she decides to run in 2012 she can’t claim more exec experience than Obama. Had she stuck it out as gov she could have made that claim.
Bradky on December 13, 2009 at 8:13 AM
And you would’ve found something else to complain about.

Bradky on December 13, 2009 at 8:13 AM
By her terms of mayor she can still claim more exec experience than Obama. facts are hard things for Palin haters I know. And since when did RESIGNING become quitting. The correct term for giving up a political position is resigning. You know like Hillary, Obama huntsman, and Sebelius among others resigned (quit) their elected positons to further their careers.
It is amazing that people use the term “quit”. Not like they are trying to shape the people’s thought process about the sitution or anything. Can you be more transperant?
I know the Palin love scares you. If only we would love Mitt or Obama all the world’s problems would disappear. If Mitt wants to be loved maybe he should lead and fight the good fight against the forces of statism inside of being a lackey of the statists.

Bradky on December 13, 2009 at 8:17 AM
Primary motive? No. Long shot. Since when did making lemonade from lemons become a problem. Her primary motive for resigning (as you well know and yet for some strange reason refuse to accept or acknowledge, hmm imagine that)her positon was to allow the state she loves to be freed from the daily leagal attaks on her and her people. When the dems went after her people and caused them to go into debt it was the final straw. She stepped down with a hand picked replacement that shared her agenda in place (unlike Obama and hillary that left their voters to the wolves of corrupt officals).
As soon as she was out of office she charged ahead in the work of stopping the statists in charge of the country. Giving sppeches, posting the conservative positions on facebook. Writing op-eds and writting her book. She took a negative and turned it into a +$7million positive, increasing her standing in conservative circles as well as national circles.
By her being the only high profile national GOP leader to engage and fight against Obama’s policies she has become the defacto leader. Mitt could have been if he had the balls to attack a popular president when that president went against his core principles. that is if he had any core principles. Mitt ball less and lacking principles. Hey that could be his campaign slogan.

“That depends on what your definition of “is” is”. – Bill

This is what it has come to for the Paliniacs.
No, actually it disgusts me that people behave like this about a politician.
Love means a lack of objectivity in regards to the object of one’s love – hence the Paliniacs are incapbable of being objective because they do love her.
Bradky on December 13, 2009 at 8:40 AM
Nope. I don’t worship her. But I know that I worship the same God she worships. Plus … she clearly makes her stands on issues and she’s leading the fight against Obamoaism. That’s the most important kind of leadership in the next 3 years.
She’s effectively conveying the message of the People against the Big and Fascist Government of Obama.
Other so-called leaders are lukewarm … not the very kind of leadership Americans need right now. Sarah Palin is offering true leadership … a passionate one if need be.

Bradky on December 13, 2009 at 8:20 AM
When you start having legitimate criticisms instead of old DNC attack talking points maybe we could have a discussion. However, as long as you presist in using debunked DNC smears about palin, a warped negative view of the woman, and vocabualry (like quitting instead of the correct term of resigning) to try to “frame” the debate in the most negative light then you will continue to be called on it.
P.S. you statement was not fact. You “forgot” about her time as mayor. Which in any textbook counts has executive experience. Again you place strawmans and ommissions to make you case yet for some reason you think you should be given a fair hearing? Amazing

That depends on what your definition of “is” is”. – Bill
Clinton
This is what it has come to for the Paliniacs.
Bradky on December 13, 2009 at 8:40 AM
what? Has it come to this asking people to use the correct dictionary term for an observed action:
vacate: leave (a job, post, or position) voluntarily; “She vacated the position when she got pregnant”; “The chairman resigned when he was found …
leave office: give up or retire from a position; “The Secretary of the Navy will leave office next month”; “The chairman resigned over the financial scandal”
release: part with a possession or right; “I am relinquishing my bedroom to the long-term house guest”; “resign a claim to the throne”
accept as inevitable; “He resigned himself to his fate”
to be like Clinton. Since it is accepted usage to use the term resign when talking about a politican leaving office early. It is now Bill CLintionish to ask that the proper term be used in converstation. Ok there!
You refusal to use the proper term tells anyone that has ears to listen that you have an axe to grind and want to protray Palin’s action in the most negative light you can. Which by the way says about all anyone really wants to know about your close minded post.
You rail against the Palin love but show in your comments the exact opposite emotion of hate and yet you think you are being logical
As Rush says Words mean things.

LOL Why? because it is not the time nor place to say she is running. It is accepted to wait until after the mid-terms to annouce intentions. As little has 8 years ago it was accepted to wait until after the 4th of july to declare.
Now you want her to announce not 6 months early or a year early but 2.5 years early. Yeah that would be real smart politics And no way that would be looked at negatively by the MSM as an egotistical/divivse move

agreed It is a shame people misplace respect and love for worship. If Palin came out tommorrow and said she was for increased spending and though Government was the answer for everything I would no longer support her. If she buckled under the statists attacks and become part of the problem like Mitt I would also no longer support her. etc.
It is fun to see that Bradky again uses a certain word to conote a negative image instead of others more readily available for the topic. respect/love now equals worship
resign now equals quit hate=intellctual honesty. etc etc

agreed somewhat. I think you should not make the debate about persons but policy. Attack Obama on his tax and spend policies, his statist policies, his attempts to takeover the healthcare, his takeover of GM, AIG, banks etc. His desire to cap Co2 emmissions. You do not really want the campaign to devolve into a personility contest. If you do then the media will be able to frame the debate us vs them. By staying on the policy issues you do not give the MSM that arrow to launch as much and you have the ability to gain a mandate if the voters agree that your policies are better.

Regarding the question or argument that Palinistas WORSHIP Sarah Palin I bring your attention to the case of Brett Favre of the Minnesota Vikings. Favre joined the Vikings and has taken the Vikings to a 10-2 record. Do the other 52 players on the Vikings WORSHIP Favre? No, but they do respect his talents immensely and what he brings to table, but do not, let me repeat do not consider Favre to be a deity. And neither do the Palinistas think Sarah Palin is a god even though millions of us would walk over broken glass for her.
technopeasant on December 13, 2009 at 1:23 PM
Real problems with that statement:
(1) “More” exec experience is not necessarily a primary applicable criteria . It is the quality/results of that experience – and whether the applicant surrounds himself/herself with quality people with experience where the applicant is short.
For instance,
(A)If we applied that criteria to the dreg in office
now – Our Country would be in a whole lot better shape.
(B)If the Dems had ran Jimmy Carter (who can serve
another 4 years) – and applied your criteria…….
(2) Even in 2012 – Palin will still have more exec experience than Obama – Since he hasn’t been (doing his job) executing the oath of his office – protecting and defending The Constitution of the United States.
And those he has surrounded himself with – the tax cheats, the socialists, the depraved and UN-Godly – his whole adult life, shows that whatever exec experience you think he may have by 2012 – will be
of no usea huge detriment to him – and our great Contry.Oopsdaisy on December 13, 2009 at 1:42 PM
Nonsensical. In 2012 NO potential GOP candidate can claim more executive experience than Obama. Unless of course you have some idea that G. H. W. Bush is going to run.
ddrintn on December 13, 2009 at 2:24 PM
In 2005 who’d a thunk someone so far out of the mainstream as Obama would win the Presidency just 3 years later? For goodness sake, he was just another Chicago politician then. Yeah, he fired up the base pretty good but what about all those moderates? Ummmm, excuse me…
-
It’s surely hard to see how Sarah’s 2012 chances are any worse at this point in time than were Obama’s in 2005.
-
Except that by 2012 the country truly will be hankering for some Hope and Change.
Metanis on December 13, 2009 at 3:11 PM
You’re kidding – right? – Any GOP person who has 4 years as Governor will have just as much exec experience.
And you forget the “fact” that Obama’s “experience” will be of no benefit to any of us (as is being proven every week). – It isn’t “time” – it is “quality.”
Oopsdaisy on December 13, 2009 at 3:26 PM
Won’t matter. If the criterion is “executive experience” and not much else, being the sitting president trumps everything else. Obama can say if nothing else he is the sitting President of the United States — which not even Superman Mitt can match.

dec5 on December 13, 2009 at 4:23 PM
I will go back to point #1 in my first post:
The reason I raised this point was that (all of a sudden) “Exec Experience” has become a criteria – when it was of NO importance for consideration of competence for the Democratic candidate (who had “0″ exec experience) in the 2008 election. However, it was a huge deal for the Republican VICE presidential candidate (who had been in 2 elected executive positions – One being a Governor. – Why are there 2 sets of standards?
Now, suddenly, the discussion has quickly turned to “Presidential” executive experience (wonder why?).
To that change – I will say – yes, of course it is nonsensical. Obama will have the Presidential experience to claim. The problem is – it is our experience that matters a whole lot more to me. And I’m hoping Obama’s experience is SEVERLY limited come January of 2011 (after the rout in Nov. 2010)- and his experience is terminated with the election of 2012 – for my Country’s sake (if it isn’t too late by then).
Oopsdaisy on December 13, 2009 at 4:40 PM
The thing is, it is her ideas that make the deal, not just her looks. The words and her actions actually makes her case. Her constant strong support for the military, her belief in more drilling of American oil by private industry. Her support for the private sector in medicine.
Add to that, her decision to keep her special needs child,
says volumes of how she sees the value of human life.
She isn’t perfect, all Palin supporters will say this. She
and her family obviously have problems with Johnston who
seems bent on destroying himself in public. But it is how
She and her family deals with the imperfections and make the
best of it, with faith in God, and with values that actually made this country great, that is the attraction….
dec5 on December 13, 2009 at 4:50 PM
Since I’m “late to the thread;” this point may have been made before.
In this video, Governor Palin shows us several things.
1. She has style, and grace.
2. She can be self-effacing, convincingly.
3. Without having to say it, she does answer the “can she even read?” fools.
4. She did it on Conan’s show (get it, Dave?)
5. Shatner was giving her the wolf’s-eye – she’s fine looking.
For those who go out of their way to hate on her, fine.
Don’t buy her book.
Don’t go to her appearances.
But, as she continues to trend upward in all measures of approval, and broaden her base, and claim the positions of true conservatives, just try and stay off the bandwagon!

I was refuting Bradky, not you really. “Executive experience” really didn’t factor much into the last election, and I don’t think it will be the dominant factor in 2012. Ideological difference will be. In 1980, Carter had the “executive experience” advantage over Reagan despite Reagan’s two terms as CA governor. People weren’t doing the arithmetic and comparisons of that sort in their minds, though. They preferred Reagan’s ideology to Carter’s.

I think that if presidential experience factors in the next election–it will be to show what a lack of executive experience causes…Obama needs to be hammered on his “smart power” concept, and his failed diplomacy.
BAnyway, by the time of the 2012 elections–Israel may have already attacked Iran, and that will doom Obama…

Understood – And I agree with you. I was going to bring up Ford, Carter and Bush 1 in the previous post concerning Exec experience” – But it was getting too long.
Thanks for paying attention!

LOL Wut? Her walking out of office was just a hoax? It’s a conspiracy! Someone call M. Bachmann!
LOL Wut? Perhaps you should learn the correct meaning of “correct.”
Or perhaps you mean the conservative version of political correctness. I notice a lot of Palinbots going down that road. It’s quaint.
voxpopuli on December 13, 2009 at 6:52 PM
Shhhhhhhh. Men are talking.
voxpopuli on December 13, 2009 at 6:54 PM
Oh goody. Now there’s a nationally-inspiring figure for our times.
voxpopuli on December 13, 2009 at 6:55 PM
…and no one can claim more then Biden, or Pelosi…it is the quality of experience, and if it is one where the experience provides us with record unemployment, record deficits, record scandals, as this has obtained, I don’t think it is one to be proud of…

So that explains why you are feeling left out…

I have to admit – he is childish, boorish, discourteous, impolite, rude, self-centered, thoughtless, and unthinking. Along with that – A nincompoop, blockhead, dolt, dunce, jackass, nitwit, numb skull and simpleton.
But I do not think we should silence someone – unless he steps over the lines set down by management.
The best way to handle someone who insists that he has a “right” to be a jerk as much as he can – and just has to prove it – is to not address anything he says. If you do – it gives him significance in his own little mind – and encourages more idiotic kiddie stuff from him.
Let him post – and post and post – and get no acknowledgment responses. That will hurt his little ego and he’ll eventually get tired of having no effect on the adults – and will petulantly go away.
If he is over 14 – he already has a veritable plethora of mental problems – and is much better off over at Daily Koz or Huffington Post amongst his own kind.
BTW, voxpopuli, I anticipate your blubbering drivel of a response – to make mine and everyone’s point about you.
Just be aware (before you start) that I DON”T CARE what you have to say about me – You might not be able to grasp that in your state of mind – but you are really irrelevant – except for the way you are upsetting some of the good people here.
Now, on with your hate response and get it over with – I have washed my hands of you.
P.S. – I forgot to say LOL. – Now go back and sit in the corner.

I’d advise baking soda for that sting!

“Fix’d” my ass. You don’t debate. You don’t post anything of any substance. You don’t comment. You don’t even post coherent sentences.
All you do is post immature, juvenile garbage. You come here and insult people. You’re the biggest ass wipe on this thread, and I’m making it a mission to get you banned, jackass.
