Video: Palin gets revenge on master thespian William Shatner

posted at 9:33 pm on December 11, 2009 by Allahpundit

Yeah, he’s pals with Rush. But even so — he had it coming.

Somewhere Chris Matthews is watching this and thinking, in all seriousness, “She can read.”

I love Palin. Mostly because of how deranged she makes liberals.

LibTired on December 12, 2009 at 9:32 AM

Oh c’mon … you know that appearing on the Tonight Show, selling close to two million books and drawing thousands of people wherever she goes are sure signs that her fifteen minutes are about up.

I’m surprised at you. You even missed the classic sign of irrelevancy … everyone going bonkers over her Facebook posts.

C’mon LibTired, face reality.

Looking around the forums, big hit, I think.

A comment from a youtube “I sort of get why Republicans like her so much.”

Sarah is my choice for our next President. I know that she will NEVER appologize for America, because she knows we have nothing to appologize for. All of the sins of America can be laid at the feet of the left. Maybe someday they will begin to understand the law of unintended consequences.

That’s great! She just needs to show the public the real Sarah Palin, not the one the media created. This was a big step in accomplishing that.

It’s ok to love Sarah Palin.

She’s conservative, patriotic, intelligent, honest, wholesome, self-made and …oh, I could go on and on.

And, yes, she is beautiful and attractive. Those, however, are just icing on the cake. Bonus points. Like Michelle Malkin.

Cult worship would be loving her were she to have no core worthy of love or admiration- or as in Obama’s case, a rotten core.

I understand why you referenced Chrissie Matthews in your post, AP. You hope it will make your snarky assaults on Gov. Palin look reasonable compared to those of the prototypical petulant pu$$y, Matthews. I guess it helps.

SKYFOX on December 12, 2009 at 10:47 AM

Caught some liberal on MSNBC talking about Palin this morning. He said the more they try to tear her down, the higher her numbers go. He also said that there are people out there that would literally walk over hot coals to stand by this woman. No one on the political scene has that kind of loyalty going for them.

joedoe on December 12, 2009 at 10:48 AM

ic, it’s okay to appear on such shows as long as you’re not the President?

Isn’t it? If not, why not?

I’m just saying… Jim – don’t you sleep?

Not unlike Kino, you are out of your mind.

I love Palin. Mostly because of how deranged she makes liberals.

Kino asked specifically for “negatives” because Kino “doesn’t see any”. In the spirit of what I thought was an honest question, I gave a negative, and in the grand scheme of things, it ain’t that bad. But of course that makes me a sexist racist flaming liberal who generalizes. Even when he’s specific.

LibTired on December 12, 2009 at 9:32 AM

I’m not Kino – not sure what you want me to say to that since you didn’t respond to my comment at all – specifics – have you a dictionary? I don’t think it means what you think it means…

My point still remains that you aren’t paying attention if ‘you wonder where she stands on issues that she doesn’t speak fluently about’.

Any research into her public record would give you a good indication of her principles.

BTW, I’m not out of my mind any more today than I am any other day, but perhaps I am a bit better of an observer than you. Yours is a glaring double standard…

Like her windfall profits tax? She’s still a relative unknown and she deserves vetting and a degree of skepticism, not an automatic imputation of all possible perfect conservative values just because she’s a dynamo.

I don’t know what double standard you’re referring to, but I’m sure it has something to do with my raging sexism.

LibTired on December 12, 2009 at 11:32 AM

It wasn’t a windfall profits tax. It was a restructured rate (Across the entire price scale of oil because previous politicians had lowered the rate so much based on fraud, insider deals, and political favors (some went to jail for it). As I understand it, the rate goes down once the price of oil goes past a certain point (higher), although I am not positive on this.

lonestar1 on December 12, 2009 at 11:45 AM

There’s a lot of democrats who are suddenly realizing that the democrat party isn’t the democrat party anymore … it’s been taken over by the far left progressives who represent a small minority of radicals.

I wish more people would understand that. At this stage of the game it’s really not about republicans vs democrats, it’s about progressives vs the rest of the country.

But what is gold is the way she loves, loves, loves that Kid Rock.

Don’t you remember how everyone railed against him (Right Wing Bloggers followed suit like silly ninnies)and he was dissinvited to Bush’s Inauguration because the VFW took issue with an American Flag poncho he wore at half-time at the Super Bowl (to be expected but not to take seriously – older people always have a beef with someone/something, they live to live in the past), and the Pro-Family Americans expressed outrage, even though Barbara Bush wanted him and it was a youth event.

Wow.

So what are they all going to say now that Sarah Palin has spoken the word on Kid?

I guess everything is suddenly forgotten and he’s ok for that family values crowd now that she has spoken.

Pimp of the Nation no longer matters….Sarah has annoited him gold.

From WingNut Daily back in January of 2005:

No Kid Rock at youth concert

Inauguration committee backpedals on Kid Rock

Kid Rock has had multiple run-ins with law enforcement. In February 2005, he was arrested on assault charges for punching DJ Jay Campos in ‘Christies Cabaret’ strip club. Rock pleaded no contest and was sued for $575,000 by Campos.

Kid Rock was cited for assault on Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee on September 9, 2007 at MTV’s Video Music Awards.

In October 2007, Kid Rock was involved in a brawl at a Waffle House in Atlanta and charged with simple battery . He pleaded nolo contendere (“no contest”) to one count, was fined $1,000, required to perform 80 hours of community service and complete a 6-hour course on anger management.

Great guy now? Probably, but doesn’t still a jerk then…

Good one atheling. The severance tax represents OWNERSHIP OF THE PEOPLE AS PER AK CONSTITUTION.

TO MAKE IT MARKET-BASED AND PRO-BUSINESS: AS OWNERS, THE PEOPLE’S SHARE (SEVERANCE TAX) IS NOT FIXED, IT WILL FALL IF THE GAS PRICE FALLS. This is the innovation made by Palin.

Meaning, the shares of Alaskans will reduce, not just the private investor’s profits, if the gas market prices weakens.

IN FACT, THE TEXAN OIL COMPANIES ARE ASKING PERRY TO COPY SARAH’S PROFIT-SHARING MECHANISM AS IT IS MORE MARKET-DRIVEN.

At the beginning of 2009, AK Legislature were barking at Sarah due to the “foreseen” lower gas prices. Sarah’s projections were “conservative”. Given the higher actual gas prices in the months that passed, the new Governor Parnell is enjoying the conservative estimates of Sarah … meaning SURPLUS for AK.

Parnell has the option to re-distribute the shares to the AK people like what Sarah did in 2008.

SARAH WAS RIGHT:

ACCEPTING STIMULUS MONEY WAS NOT NECESSARY. BUT WE KNEW WHAT HAPPENED: AK LEGISLATURE (DIRTY REPS AND DEMS) WAS TOO GREEDY.

The question now is this:

Will Gov. Parnell be as strong as Sarah to go against the AK State Legislature and distribute again the excess collections from oil/gas severance taxes?

TheAlamos on December 12, 2009 at 12:53 PM

I had some doubts about Palin but at the same time I really like her and agree with her on many if not most issues and she was the ONLY reason I even donated to the McCain campaign and I find myself hoping more and more that she does in fact run in 2012.

Why the hell should I give a rat’s ass about some pop culture entertainer?

No wonder you people on the left are so idiotic. You don’t deserve to live in a free republic as you waste your time on useless garbage. Garbage in, garbage out. That’s you.

Why don’t you attack Obama’s lies and hypocriscy?

darwin on December 12, 2009 at 1:15 PM

It’s hypocrisy because some conservatives don’t like Kid Rock and yet other conservatives do. Double standard!

Jim Treacher on December 12, 2009 at 12:50 PM

It is Jim – when they constantly call out the Left/The One for the same practices daily.

My point was that they should look in their own backyard – double standard has pitched a tent and is living in their yard as well.

AprilOrit on December 12, 2009 at 1:18 PM

To LibTired:

You wilfully close your eyes to what she says, writes, and does, while accepting everything the media says at face value. Either you’re lazy or a jackass with a problem with women. Or both.

darwin – I’ve seen other LibTired posts – and while I agree he is not a liberal, he certainly can access their already debunked talking points ad nauseum re Palin. Must be nice waking up everyday with no memory…

Sexism fits on some of the truly stupid things he/she/it wrote, sarc/ men speak so fluidly on every topic, ya know. /sarc

Like her windfall profits tax?

LibTired on December 12, 2009 at 11:32 AM

The severance “tax” is more of a sales price than a tax. The State is selling a scarce resource that will never be replenished. Basing their price on market forces makes sense, and is in only in your twisted mind a “windfall profit tax”.

He pleaded nolo contendere (”no contest”) to one count, was fined $1,000, required to perform 80 hours of community service and complete a 6-hour course on anger management.
Great guy now? Probably, but doesn’t still a jerk then…

You seem to have this cardboard cut-out image of “family values conservatives” that you hold in fron of everyone right od Castro just so you can attack anyone who doesn’t fit into the hateful mold you try to cram them into as “hypocritical”.
You, my dear April-in-Orbit, are pathetically hateful.

I didn’t attack Kid Rock and get the Right leaning bloggers jack up against the guy and have him dissinvited to a White House event he was already booked for.

The family values hate squad did.

But guess what – Sarah Palin loves Kid Rock and thinks he has common sense ideas.

Betcha her kids and her husband have already met him.

April, honey, before you get more wee-weed up, please realize that NObama has made outright Communists, tax cheats and NAMBLA members his Czars, accountable to no one.
Thankfully, most of them have been thrown under the bus…
As for Kid Rock, all Sarah’s book said was that he was “pro-American.”
She didn’t ask him to be godfather to her kids.
And Sarah isn’t POTUS…yet.

LibTired on December 12, 2009 at 10:35 AM

She’s done?
Her book is on its way to having 3 million copies printed.
Try to order it from Amazon. Just try. (You can’t, because they’re out of stock!)
She just had thousands in Flyover Country wait in freezing cold for hours just to get her to sign a book, shake her hand and flash ‘em a smile.
She has over 1,000,000 Fans on Facebook and just had an op-ed about Climategate in the WashingtoncomPost that Algore responded to.
Still wanna say she’s done?

Jenfidel on December 12, 2009 at 2:07 PM

Looks like AprilOrbit is a single issue voter…whoever she thinks will invite Kid Rock to perform wins her vote.

Seriously, can we get off this Kid Rock nonsense? Because as far as single issues go, this one trumps the most stupid.
